Talk about polar opposites when it comes to PC care and maintenance. In one corner there's Kaela the master blacksmith who takes pride in her work and the tools she uses of which a PC is a big part for a VTuber. In the other corner there's Bae the personification of chaos. Of course she'd use and abuse her PC oblivious to the fact that it only lasts as long as you maintain its upkeep. The ending where Bae yeets IRyS is exactly what Bae would do to her PC once it ceases to function and just replace it with a brand new one.
I feel like even if you don't really clean your PC, PC parts usually get outdated before they break due to poor maintenance, esp. if you're trying to stay on the cutting edge like streamers sort of have to.
@@SheffiTB Well in all truth PCs and to a slightly lesser degree mobile phones which now are like portable mini laptops are pretty much like mega gotcha games. You always have to upgrade,update,and keep up because if you don't the support systems like transmission towers,programs,apps,and the like keep being updated and your PC or mobile either can't keep up or runs out of memory space to accommodate the changes that never end. A shame the sun doesn't just put an end to it altogether with one massive solar flare that causes a global EMP which destroys all the artificial satellites orbiting the planet. Only way for it to stop endlessly changing without an end in sight.

i had the same reaction as bae, too lazy to clean my pc hahaha, bae and kaela both so cute
about a year ago, when I still had my 13-year-old PC. It was getting so overheated that I had its side panel open at all times for better air circulation. And even near its heatdeath, I had my floor fan laying on its side, right next to the pc's opening, blasting full force. That was the first time in many years that my PC was actually cool to the touch, usually it would be scortching hot. The last 3 months of its lifespan, I couldn't even play low performance games like Minecraft anymore. Anyway, I finally got a new PC. I swear I'll learn how to apply thermal paste. Maybe this PC will last 20 years this time.

Tips on cleaning PC's I recommend use air duster like Opolar or other branded type instead using air can which is very hazardous and risky to cpu component sometimes they leak small amount of liquid when using.

To be fair. If its a beef PC that costs a couple of thousand. I'd take proper care of it too. Thats a whole lot of money to let overheat and short from dust and moisture. But everyday? Nah. if anything each time I'm cleaning. I feel like I'm rolling a D20 and a nat 1 will cause my PC to burst into flames the moment I turn it on.
compulsory PC cleaning is not a practice i would encourage, especially for those who don't know how to do it. wiping down the outside is fine, but why get invasive? are your temps bad? thermal paste does not need to be replaced on a regular basis either. also never spin a fan with air, it sends voltage back into the board.

Honestly, reapplying thermal paste for someone who does not know how to clean their pc is a bit much. It also has such minor effects unless it has been over 5 years. For those wanting to do it, remember that graphics cards also have thermal paste and dust and dried thermal paste is almost the entire reason it gets worse over time. Since the worst those gets, the hotter it gets and therfore runs worse.
