I feel like Mumei has the same timbre as Gura but tends to speak in higher pitch. So the confusion is if she says something in a particularly low pitch it can get confusing.

I dont think Gura's accent is southern, it is more like a midwest "bread and corn state" rural accent

I think one reason why they sound so alike is because of where they lay emphasis in the pronunciations of words, they also have kind of similar speech patterns.

I was about to say “no they have pretty different sounding voices” but they’ve proven me wrong now I’ll close my eyes in a mumei stream and then i might hear gura or and vice versa when watching a gura stream

They're both putting on a sweet tone to their voices and they both have a similar pitch and accent, there are very subtle differences though. Guras voice tends to drift down towards the end of sentences while Mumeis drifts up.

For some reason when they are seperate they doesn't sound that much alike to me but then you put them in the same room and they are almost identical
