  • Many times we dont do certain things because we become uncomfortable...Many people from the city often stay in the city never experience what the "Country" has to offer! In this video I take a Ride to Bikes Blues and BBQ in the Rogers/ Eureka Springs area of Arkansas. There were many bikers in the area for the rally and i got a chance to ride and explore arkansas in many different ways. I explored a cave system, seen a huge statue of Jesus amongst other parts of the Ozark mountain range that was simply phenomenal.

First let me say that normally I would never watch your channel. I am a 66-year-old great-grandmother and white to boot! This morning I ran across your channel and stopped because I saw the Christ of the Ozarks. I want to tell you first of all how much I appreciate the way you treated our state and our people. We are so glad to have you and your friends who came to visit and enjoyed our scenic beauty. When you hear people tell you the world is overcrowded, it's because they haven't got out and explored like you have. Watching you go to the Baptist medical center to see your friend, riding up the pig trail and enjoying the overlooks, crossing the bridge at War Eagle and seeing Beaver Lake, all these were an adventure for you but home for me. Watching a city boy on a motorcycle appreciate the beauty and nature surrounding us was a real treat for me. Stretching your comfort zone going into Onyx Cave was awesome. I would would like to invite you back to Arkansas for another visit sometime. Arkansas has the only diamonds in the United States that you can go and dig for yourself. Arkansas also has fabulous quartz mines that you can go and dig for free and find fabulous treasures. We have the Queen Wilhelmina State Park, which features a ride you would surely want to take, that spans from Mena Arkansas to Oklahoma. The ride in the fall is spectacular! If you do decide to come back to arkansas, please let me know so I can watch your video again. God bless you and keep traveling

I had realized in the later years of living there that people were constantly on their phones, having the same fake conversations, pursuing greed and materialistic things. Working all day to afford to live in a tiny cube just so that they can go spend the little money they have left on rooftops, get drunk and have absolutely ridiculous premade conversations with their equally pathetic friends and peers who just got out of university which, for a long time now have been used as indoctrination centers. what happened over the past 20 years is a tragedy. If levels of education are measured by its level of indoctrination then yes I'd say people in Arkansas aren't as indoctrinated. But its not just a New-York Vs Arkansas kinda thing. I was born and raised in a city in southern California. Moved to a small town down south in my early twenties the stark contrast was palpable. Im now 55 and avoid major cities whenever possible. Once you live more in the country/rural areas, cities to me seem too congested and dirty. Eden wouldn't have been covered in skyscrapers and concrete. So I think being in the country resets us to our own natural state, if you know what I mean. Whether someone feels that more in the woods, desert, beach, plains or mountains.......I think we all need those nature resets from time to time. Its where our souls can breath.

As always, a beautiful video. Watching your journey and hearing you talking is so soothing. It's like beautiful poetry.
I was born in Detroit and spent my childhood in that area. When I turned 18 and moved out on my own, I moved over 70 miles north to an area of small towns. And I mean small towns. The town I lived in had a whopping population of just over 700. Later I moved out to a 10 acre farm a few miles outside a city with 1,000 people. You couldn't pay me to move back to Detroit or any big city like that again. No more sirens, gun shots, screaming people, and traffic sounds all night. Just a sky full of the brightest stars, the cows down the road and the night birds. I'm growing my own food, (and sharing it with the wildlife that wanders onto the property) and loving life. Never felt so at peace and safe in my life. And never would have expected to feel that way about living "out in the boonies".

@@AnnsTinyLifeI’ve basically done the same thing Ann! I got rid of the farm that had kept me tied down with animals and summer crops that I could never leave. I’m also a disabled Desert Storm Vet and life isn’t getting any easier so I walked away from everything, took my savings and bought an old greyhound bus that a church in Florida had for sale and was downsizing due to some sort of Plandemic somewhere but anyhows, I bought my bus, drove it back home from Florida to NC, pulled the seats out and started my conversion and got it to where I could live in it loaded up the few things I was gonna keep, mainly my tools and stuff and hit the road. I’m parked again for now till I can finish up my conversion and get it how I want it but then I’m hitting the road and never looking back. I want to do as much boondocking as I possibly can and enjoy the last few years I have left to my fullest potential. I’ve seen quite a bit of our beautiful country while traveling in the military but there’s so much more to see and such little time to see it so I’m gonna do what I can before time runs out. Im gonna have a beautiful home now that’s paid for and no matter where I go, I’m always at home in my own bed every night and I can cook dinner for myself every night and see and explore the beauty of this country God has given us! I too wish I had done this at least 20-25 years ago but I didn’t and I’m not gonna waste anymore time waiting.

I can feel your anxiety, on you venturing out of your comfort zone. Back in the early 90's I bought my first boat, not knowing how to swim, nor anything on boating. But still looking to go, my bride and I went boating, nice day and PFDs on board. Having fun, we didn't notice the fog and night rolling in. Bam, now in the dark fog, I decided to drop anchor and call USCG on the radio. Shortly after, they came and had us follow them to our home harbor. # weeks later we went from the 27ft to 34 ft, joined the USCG Aux and now 26 years later I teach navigation, SAR, GPS and more and have traveled with our 52ft'er to Maine, Boston, RI, NY for dinner, NJ, Delaware, and more. If I didn't make that move out of my zone I would have lost out on all that experience and knowledge. Enjoy the moment.

I am originally from Texas but currently live in Arkansas. I will say east and west Arkansas are two different worlds but serve a specific purpose. East Arkansas with farming from soybean, corn, rice, cotton and wheat along with harboring some unexplainable phenomenon in the night sky but mena has a few story's to tell as well. My daughter was bit by a copperhead when she was 11 and med flighted to baptist as well. One thing I can say is Arkansas hospitals takes care of their children. I mean they all do but Arkansas goes the extra mile. Arkids first. West Arkansas is beautiful. I love how little rock is built like on a mountain or how ever. Not really sure how to word it. Surrounded by trees which is not common for most city's. Pine bluff reeks of history and forgotten story's. You can find extremely old artifacts through the land from falling down homes in the woods that go unnoticed and all through the woods left behind from the great river flood. Forgotten towns that were once the hype of their era. Much to explore if you just explore it!

I just came across this video and have to say that you definitely described NW Arkansas very well. I have lived here for over 20 years. The growth and changes have been incredible to experience. Next time you come in for a visit check out Bella Vista. It’s smaller than some of the other towns that we have. But some of the small trails lead to some little waterfalls. The lakes even though some are man made and the glass chapel is a beautiful site. I also have to say going the back way is just so beautiful and peaceful. I have a love/hate relationship with traffic so I don’t mind spending a couple extra miles of taking in the views.
Fun fact, I have been to see the Christ statue since I was a little kid. We lived right across the border in Mo so we went to Eureka Springs for a family getaway. On the way we would often stop at Roaring River or the Dam. Which as a little kid was a blast. Got to feed the fish and run around before hopping back in the car to get to Eureka Springs. Anyway sorry for the long comment but wanted to share some little tid bits encase you were thinking of coming back. Ride safe and always take life with value. The value you give tends to grow and become contagious. Which sometimes without knowing will bring you to your life purpose.
FYI….. We just went on a Cruise to Alaska and man was it gorgeous and a step back in time. 10/10 recommend! Would definitely be worth a motorcycle ride through there. I’d do it if my man had a bike. Safe travels and keep spreading your wings.

I'm planning on moving out of my comfort zone in northwest Arkansas to the island of La Gonave off the inner coast of Haiti. To use my professional experience in horizontal construction to improve the lives of the good people living there. God bless my friend

Again, I envy your life Sir, truly, you do have one heck of a life! Live it!

I really enjoy your video essays, and I'm appreciating the way you share your exploratory energy with us... it's inspiring to those of us who've been feeling like our travel wings have been COVID clipped...
Watching you ride has not only helped me experience the locations you explore; it's also reminding me of why I love to travel and encouraging me to get 'on the road again ' ... Peace, brother...

I am so thrilled that you enjoyed visiting Rogers. If you cone back in 2024, you should know that a tornado blew through Downtown Rogers the last week of May. It went right down Walnut Street and did quite a bit of destruction.

I listened to some gentlemen of color on the amateur radio bands. They were talking from across the nation planning to meet face to face for a bike tour across several states. An awesome conversation from another awesome hobby.
I wish you could have swung through my part of North East Arkansas. It has its own beauty.
If you ever make it to Mississippi, ride the center of the state. Highway 15 and the Natchez Trace take you through some of the greatest scenery. And you can't forget Highways 51 and 61 for the history.
      See you on the road!

Your G Q looks and that hair of yours dont hurt the eyes either ❤. I rode a 50 pan for years and enjoyed every minute of it. Oh and im from vegas so “cathouse” has a totally different meaning Lol. I laughed when you said you stopped at the cathouse 😂
