Magnus is rated 3225. That's a difference of a 109. That's huge. But then, his opponent is Yu Yangyi, who is actually a very very very good player. Just Magnus things.
Magnus is a demoralisation of a player. Every game you lose against him in a position you should be winning you will get worse and worse as a player. This will definitely impact the player to lose in minimal moves.
i am not that good at chess but if he takes the rook white can take the knight and black cant recapture with the queen or else white gets the rook on a8, if black just moves the queen out of the way white controls the queening square on d8 with the bishop which is also basically game over for black
@@xTheN3mo You stated the right reason but it's not game over for black at all. According to engine analysis white cannot push to d7 immediately as after black takes the pawn on C4 the white light square bishop is out of commission and black will eventually capture the pawn on d7. It is actually dead even for the Bxa2 line so both sides have to play very carefully due to the imbalance of material, and probably not something black wanted to get into in a blitz game.
I personally have been following chess for more than 7 years and I have heard about that name very rarely. I'm guessing that if I put that name in the title of the video, many people won't recognize Yu Yangyi.
