He wouldn't have taken the bishop if that happened, Dubov wanted to also trade the queens there
Still an equal trade.

it doesnt matter what he takes with, the only difference is whether the queens are on the board material wise
if he doesn't take the bishop there is no material advantage

Nice to hear what Magnus said about Hikaru.
Why didn’t Dubov take the free pawn at 2:48?
after rab1 you lose the b7 pawn and white gets a rook on the 7th rank. its not really a free pawn.
White plays Rb1 winning back the pawn on b7 and now has a rook on the 7th rank
I think ...Bb2 is followed by Rb1 with tempo, also the pawn on b7 is unprotected

@@epicwolves125 Shouldn't have lost it even against Stockfish.
Yeah people in the comments don't seem to realize it's not normal at all for Dubov to lose that. Carlsen points out he played poorly
How can Magnus have 7.5 wins and Dubov a nice round 8? If one has decimals so should the other?
Because Dubov had gained 8 points by that round in Titled Tuesday, and Magnus - 7.5
Magnus drew some games , it's 0.5 points for a draw
its not a head to head score, its them playing a tournament
Ever heard of titled tuesday? It's a swiss style tourney
It's not a head to head, they're playing a bunch of different people, so Magnus drew a game against someone else
