It makes sense because the multiverse ends after 5 and 6, he won't have anything to protect afterwards. He might be an important component in defeating Doom. He might even sacrifice himself to save the universe

I like what you said up until you had Doom take Loki and have him working w him side by side. Loki isn’t like that anymore. He’s mischievous, yes, but he’s become good. Even if we said Loki is a complex character that keeps his options open, there’s no way in the world that he would ,work to destroy the Avengers, et al. I speculate if what you said is true, he goes w Doom to ruin his plans from the inside. Loki is now a hero, no two ways about it!! ❤
