This season was a very strong return to form for an MCU production.
I'm glad Loki got a proper arc and a worthy "conclusion" to his story. Especially since the MCU completely neutered Thor.

I think the first time Loki actually realized he could flip the script on himself was that time in the TVA theatre where Mobius was showing him how his sacred timeline would progress. With his mother dying, how he reconciles with Thor and how Thanos takes his life. This was a therapeutic experience and a huge lightbulb moment that made him stubborn and eager to form connections and change his future. Something that Sylvie never got.

To those of you unaware of the writers of Loki Season 2; they are Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead who also wrote/directed/starred in a couple of their own movies with Time Loop/ Time Travel/ Connected universe stories. The movies are Resolution and The Endless, both of which are fantastic. Moorehead also directed another time travel movie called Synchronic. They are the masters of Time Travel in film and is why Marvel picked them to write Loki Season 2 and it was phenomenal as their other work is. I truly hope Marvel picks them to write Kang Dynasty.

I'm so glad they finally portrayed the whole "Asgardians + time = strength" rule in the MCU
I remember in one of the old Avengers cartoons there was a scene where Thanos obliterates everyone including the Hulk by using the time stone to age them into dust, but all this does to Thor is make him strong enough to deflect the beam which makes Thanos old, forcing him to undo the action and inadvertently revive the other Avengers.
I knew they'd never be able to depict that in the MCU, but this is also an acceptable way to do it and arguably just as badass.

He Who Remains actually, I believe, wanted Loki to finish as the heart of the multiverse. He said, in S1E6, he paved the way for Loki & Sylvie to get there. He was looking for someone to take his place, as he had been doing for millions of years. Also, in S1E2, they actually showed multiple variants of Loki that they pruned. In the void at the end of time, he meets multiple variants of himself that survived the pruning (and each other). HWR was obsessed with finding the correct variant, and would have variant after variant pruned after they failed his test, until he found Loki & Sylvie (whose nexus event was her deciding to be a hero, in my opinion). He only told them two options, one that would lead to the multiverse war and the other to them continuing his work pruning timelines. He never gives them any other option, forcing Loki to discover the best option to deal with HWR’s variants without pruning entire timelines.
Anyway, that is only my opinion. What do you think?

This Kang likely has gone down this road multiple times coming out as victor, and perhaps really was one of the good Kangs (this one wanting to preserve his timeline and ensuring the people on it had a life to live) believing he rather be the devil we knew instead of something worse. That being said, I believe he was just tired. Of the whole thing he knew at some point the timeline would fail, likely restarting the war or starting the war. He saw just like the single timeline that there was a cycle of repeat. (the man was tired), yet he must have saw that there was a chance for him to change the guard perhaps giving his timeline a chance to survive. Hence Sylvie and Loki. They were variants that likely were a once in a million glitch. Assuming we treat the sacred timeline and its off shoots before pruning as a system of cycle and repeat, every once in a while in a repeating system, given enough time something unexpected might occur.
In this case a Loki that actually had a chance of doing actual good.
Sylvie who is a female Loki (all loki's were male that we are aware of gator loki included)
Bet what happened was Kang then created the events and paths that would lead them to him and giving them the offer, hoping to give him a opportunity to retire, or killed off so long as the timeline was preserved. If it didn't well the war starts and he comes back. The problem was that Kang didn't consider the possibility of a third option likely cause he didn't think a third option was on the table. At least not until Loki showed what he was capable of.
Since Loki decided to take the third option of sacrificing himself to destroy the loom and preserve multiple timelines himself, It likely gave Kang perhaps a smirk before dying again that maybe there is a chance that the war will go different and that no longer will it be won be a Kang variant.

The finale of Loki was Awesome! also bittersweet. Tom Hiddleston has stated that it's the conclusion of six films, 12 episodes, and the character of Loki. 14 years of his life in the MCU. He was 29 when he started and he's now 42. Tom is saying Loki is done, therefore no season 3 of Loki. It's sad to see him finished as Loki, I can't see anyone else being Loki. I'm very happy that it ended with Loki at the top and left us with Loki being a great guy, finally fulfilling his purpose. Thanks, Tom so very much. Job well done. So, curious if all he had to do is think of the end point, or whatever thought he needs to have to get there, and he would arrive. Bc he got better at traveling to the point he wasn't physically appearing separate from himself he was traveling and showing up "inside" himself. And by the time he had the talks with HWRs he basically perfected his abilities. But again, the requirements aren't specifically stated in the show. Ok , in the comics the main variant of Nathaniel Richards is named Kang and in that medium most of the others variants are just "Kang" variants, but pay attention here:
    1- In the series HWR introduces himself as the winner of the multiversal war and never "name" any of his variants and the fact is the name Kang was never mentioned;
2 - By the end, the new goal of the TVA becomes hunt down HWR variants, not Kang Variants.
Actually Mobius confirms that the variant of his in Quantumania ( wich was named Kang) is dead.
It seems minor but i got the feeling Quantumania was the last time we will hear the name Kang - something that could in the end make easier to replace Majors moving on.

The series just mentions "centuries later", and while long to spend on one problem it's not infinite eons. But that's plenty. Not just doing a groundhog day times 10-100k of fixing the temperal loom loop. But travel the multiverse, meet people, understand how everything works.
Many humans (Wanda, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel) gain immense power in only a few decades. If he needed them he has access to an infinite number of infinity stone (some lying in drawers) and any teachers of space and time he could visit. Including his mother (and Odin).
He could definitely obtain any powers his variants have, plus some unique ones. Maybe study with a few sorceror suppremes, celestials or even dark beings like dormammu (as his daughter, Charlize Theron, will play a role). My theory is he can guide his own variants, kinda as extensions of himself but with free will, turning each timeline green with this link. If these variants can then also timetravel (timepads and timestones), he can be everywhere at once...

My Theory is, Loki is/was time slipping because after the meeting with HWR the outcome was already set in motion. What IS is what WAS and what WILL BE.
Loki is moving Loki through Spacetime, because he already destroyed the loom, even in the process of trying to save it, Season two is just witnessing
"Time" through the eyes of loki. Where did it change? when loki thought to go back to Mobius and Sylvie (even though it happened AFTER that it happens in at the same time)
He says He will stop all of Kangs Variants,
    "I won't stop"
    "I know.... Champ.."
but then he follows in up with a quote by T.S. Elloit. And you can tell Kang didn't know what he was talking about then panicked.
Saying he HAD to kill Sylvie (the first time he says this) The process was already started that HWR lost control of the loop, and i think he knew it.
Because Loki was put in a place in BOTH seasons where he was shown how he didn't want to be alone, his only fear. He would have to accept that to beat the game.
and in the end he does, for the only friends he's ever had.

If Episode 5 was supposed to be revisiting the moments that Endgame had already done, I'm okay with it being nuked. We don't need an Endgame rehash that could also end up being very expensive.
I do agree with Erik Voss of New Rockstars that the one flaw of the finale is not getting enough of Renslayer. She and Miss Minutes only appeared *mostly* in two episodes this season and both characters had so much potential being more than what we saw. They already built great chemistry in 1x6. Perhaps that's why I didn't love 2x5 as much because they were both missing along with Victor. Science/Fiction was still a good episode that I enjoyed but it could've been better.
I felt Renslayer got the short end of the stick in all this. I know she's a ball-breaker but she's only doing her job. That's what leaders do and that's making the difficult decisions. She put the TVA over her own happiness and humanity. Then her memories got erased. Then she ends up in the Void. Heavy Spoilers' theory is that's not Alioth that she sees in the Void but a Kang variant (likely Rama-Tut as we see a pyramid) where you see the purple color reflecting on her clothes.
I was rewatching Loki Ep 3-5 yesterday. So here's the thing. When we first see Mobius (or Don) in 2x5, it's only 2022. So I guess he wasn't gone that long then? Writers didn't want him to look like a deadbeat dad who doesn't care about his sons. Owow "Just Add Water" Wilson the GOAT wingman actor and first billing enhancer. Owen gets second billing to a project but he can always enhance the actor receiving first billing in whatever Frat Pack or Jackie Chan movie he's in. Just add water and stir! He's that guy.
Owen Wilson had already worked with Tom Hiddleston in Midnight in Paris (2011). I'm hearing Mobius will appear in Deadpool 3, so everyone's favorite jet ski salesman who loves his key lime and McDonald's pies isn't going to be gone from us for very long. It's cool that Don/Mobius and Rebecca/Ravonna are both from Ohio. It makes me wonder if Mobius and Ravonna hooked up at some point like Cassian Andor and Bix Caleen?
Again, I think Renslayer deserves better considering she worked as a TVA judge making all the tough decisions on variants when she happens to be a variant. She's been living a lie for EONS. True, she did kill C-20 who was finding out about her real origin from Sylvie, but it's not like Renslayer was operating at her own free will either. By 1893, she looked unhinged and lost her way. She was used, man!
It's not like Renslayer is completely heartless. She did look torn and hurt when she pruned Mobius, someone she always looked out for. I would love to see her back in some way. For her to end up in the Void kinda sucks. She might have had it harder than Sylvie. That's who Sylvie would become if she was caught. Renslayer carrying the TVA on her back for eons after helping He Who Remains win the Multiversal War. Taken from her own timeline. I think she deserves a vacation with a free jet ski included.
Maybe there is a happy ending for Rebecca/Ravonna next to single dad of two, Don, while living in Ohio somewhere? I guess the Mobius = Jack theory didn't come to be if Don was living in Cleveland and Jack was in Oklahoma. Sorry, Erik Voss. And well, Mobius' real name happens to be Don and not Jack. It's a nice read about Loki S2 on Wikipedia that Sophia Di Martino helped develop her character next to Kevin Wright and the McDonald's idea came up.
I'm glad that this episode of Sneak Peek really puts emphasis on the writers. We must applaud Eric Martin who I plan to follow in whatever future projects he will be part of. Michael Waldron set such a great foundation with the TVA and all the rules and lingo in S1. Eric carried the baton well. Great projects will come down to great writing. If the writing sucks, the project sucks. It's that simple. Right, Zawe Ashton? Don't blame Tom Hiddleston's significant other for that character.
So the theory is Loki will be Avengers Prime by Secret Wars. So this isn't the end for Loki. That's been out there for a while. I believe this is the happy ending we'll have when Loki reunites with Sylvie and Thor. Of course, when you leave a happy ending like that ala Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), it doesn't open the book to have more projects for them. And Disney plans to milk MCU forever and ever. So no happy ending is really a true ending with MCU.
I thought Toy Story 3 would be the last Toy Story movie but Disney went out and did a Toy Story 4 and a Buzz Lightyear prequel which flopped. No IP is ever safe with Disney because they love money. Thank goodness Robert Zemickis and Bob Gale never fell into this sequel/prequel/reboot/remake/spinoff trap. Michael J. Fox has Parkinson's. Back to the Future Part III did say THE END at the end. Leave it as is. Speaking of BTTF, today is November 12. Save the clock tower! ⛈️ 8⃣8⃣

*HE* *WHO* *REMAINS:* The most *informative* character in Phase Four and Five. You really need to listen to everything he says and watch how he reacts and his every nuance because he knows all and has seen all.
So I was rewatching Silicon Valley (2014-2019) and it's true like my first watch when it still aired. After S3, the decline in quality is quite apparent. I would rank SV's seasons like this: 2, 1, 3, 5, 6, 4. Collider had it: 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6. It's still a very hilarious show and I grew to love Jared Dunn the longer it went. But similar to 24, LOST, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley didn't have the best later seasons. Silicon Valley was never quite the same after they fired TJ Miller (Erlich Bachman) before S5.
I'm okay if Loki never gets a Season 3. *The* *writers* *never* *needed* *a* *re-shoot* *for* *it.* Got all the scenes they ever wanted pointed out by Sean Chandler. They originally created Loki like a two-parter. Think Back to the Future Part II and III. Or perhaps closer to Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 because Tarantino didn't want to cut scenes. He sees Kill Bill as one movie broken into two. The writers of Loki S1 and S2 said the same thing. Two chapters from the same book. Don't get me started with The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions as those 2003 sequels ruined the first one's lore and mystique as Tarantino said.
Even if we got a Loki Season 3, we would probably still need to wait for how long? Another 2 to 3 years for it? That's a long wait and what more do you want from this Loki character? To finally settle down with Sylvie? This isn't animated The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. It's not going to be a happy ending. The ending for Loki is actually similar to Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 and the first God of War for the PS2 in 2005. Loki is sitting on a throne but it's bittersweet. He's still all alone.
It sounded like in the title from the TH-cam video with Tom Hiddleston appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon recently that Tom might be done with the character? He's retiring from it? He's been portraying the character for 14 years (early prep was around 2009 before the Thor movie release in 2011). Tom is a great actor and there is an article on how MCU ruined him the way Star Wars can ruin other actors' careers.
If Tom wanted to pursue other roles, he should get it the way Robert Downey Jr. needed to break away portraying Iron Man. Any actor should have their free will on what they want to pursue without feeling enslaved by a popular franchise which ends up typecasting them. At least we still have Loki S1 and S2. A new gold standard for MCU for me. Best character development I have ever seen with an MCU character.
As humans, I guess we're greedy. When things are good, we want more. We become spoiled and we don't want it to stop. Then when we get more, we'll grow tired of it and we're hoping it finally ends. It's like stuffing ourselves with delicious key lime pie until our stomachs starts to hurt. We can be self-indulgent with things we enjoy.
I do agree with Erik Voss that Renslayer was a bit underdeveloped this season. She only appeared in two episodes as the finale only showed her briefly. She was usually next to Miss Minutes who also only appeared in two episodes this season. If there was ever a character who needed a vacation, it's Renslayer. Gift her a jet ski courtesy of Don/Mobius while she's on one.
"I put the TVA above myself. Even at the costs of my own happiness. My humanity."
Ravonna Renslayer is the one character where I want to see her get rewarded in whatever future MCU project she might appear in. She was the one character working for the TVA who was taken advantage of. She's like female Michael Jordan in The Last Dance while Dennis Rodman wanted a vacation. Renslayer might be a ball-breaker but "leadership has a price".
Sylvie, on the other hand, got better for me during the last three episodes starting with The Heart of the TVA after she probably started off an annoying, dumb character on a revenge trip trying to screw more things up. I thought her whole speech with Mobius and then Loki was great. I think Sylvie and Mobius brought the best out of Loki. Without his bonding with them, he would've never changed for the better.
I didn't rank the Loki 1x6 (S1 finale) as my favorite episode prior or the best one but I think it's the one I've rewatched or relistened to the most. I like the slower pace and enjoy listening to all the dialogue similar to The Hateful Eight. When I was doing my laundry at a coin-op last night because I have this huge comforter that won't fit in my washing machine at home, "For All Time. Always." was the episode I was rewatching.
I'm starting to prefer He Who Remains more than Victor. He's an interesting guy. And 1x6 was probably the most informative Loki episode we ever got while still being the most quiet. A lot of the episode was basically 20 minutes of HWR speaking to Loki and Sylvie in the Citadel. It's not the best episode but it's probably the most rewatchable for me next to the two episodes called Glorious Purpose, The Nexus Event, Journey Into Mystery, and 1893.
How He Who Remains dropped his act in 2x6 and started using his real voice as Erik Voss pointed out in his breakdown was very interesting. HWR interacting with Loki was the most important scene to me in 2x6. We all know Jonathan Majors' legal troubles and these court cases are going to cost him money and work time like it did for Johnny Depp, but each time he's on screen, I'm always fascinated on what he says or does.
It's crazy to think Owen Wilson attempted suicide back in 2007 from depression. It's so easy to forget that. He doesn't seem like the type but he was. His characters always injects this calming demeanor. I read Owen used to frequent the Playboy Mansion and hook up with plenty of women. He has 3 kids from 3 different women, so he never really settled down. I hope he found his peace. Be a shame to lose him like what Robin Williams did to himself.
Without Mobius, I'm not sure Loki would've been as great as it is. Mobius' origin story sorta became a backbone to Loki's evolution. Owen is the perfect wingman actor. He's your "add water" actor because he mixes well with anyone.
    Loki Season 1: A-
    Loki Season 2: A-
Under the development tab is a good read -
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loki_(season_2)
Must thank Michael Waldron, Eric Martin, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorehead, Kevin R. Wright, and so many more for such a great series. Think about how consistent this show was. Take your least favorite episode and it's probably still better than all of Season 8 and most of Season 7 from Game of Thrones. I have tons of different TV shows and it's rarely pretty for most of them during their later years.
We got 9 hours of good consistency from Loki. That's like 4.5 Back to the Future movies. Say Lamentis and Breaking Brad are your least favs, that's still 7.5 hours of great content. Back to the Future and The Godfather is between 4 to 6.5 hours of great content if you don't like the Part III of their trilogy. And I don't find the worst episodes of Loki to be that bad. Better than most episodes that came from The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian S3 and Ahsoka.
New favorite rankings for Loki episodes and characters...
    1. 1x6 For All Time. Always. (my most rewatched)
    2. 2x6 Glorious Purpose
    3. 1x1 Glorious Purpose
    4. 2x3 1893 (definitely growing on me)
    5. 1x4 The Nexus Event
    6. 1x5 Journey Into Mystery
    7. 2x4 Heart of the TVA
    8. 2x1 Ouroboros
    9. 1x2 The Variant
    10. 2x5 Science/Fiction
    11. 2x2 Breaking Brad
    12. 1x3 Lamentis
First series I know where the first and last episode have the same names and actually complement each other well since 2x6 went backwards like Memento. I keep rewatching 1x6 the most and 2x3 lately from S2.
The Miss Minutes scene with Victor still creeps me out from 1893. I snicker when I watch Renslayer hold that giant time stick at Victor like she's carrying a heavy gun as if she's Rambo and The Terminator. When Gugu acts pissed is when Renslayer really shines. She's a ball-breaker.
    1. Loki
    2. Mobius (became the ♥ of the show)
    3. O.B.
    4. He Who Remains
    5. Victor Timely
    6. Classic Loki
    7. Miss Minutes
    8. Renslayer
    9. Sylvie
    10. Casey
He Who Remains is the one who moved up big time. Each time he appears, I find him fascinating. It's a chess match with him in that same room because he knows all and sees all. He's only appeared in two episodes (appeared very brief in 2x4) which were the finales and he always shines for me because he's the one giving us the most new information. Majors needs to be applauded for his contrasting Kang personalities.
I know it's called Loki and it should be about him. We shouldn't expect the writers to close every thread for every character. Some do need to have their story open ended. But I do wish we see Ravonna back in some form in a future MCU project. Perhaps with Victor and Miss Minutes. To see all three on that boat in 1893 and without Loki and Mobius was kinda refreshing. That's the strength in the writing. None of those three are the leads and the episode still worked.
O.B. could've simply been a comic relief add-on but I'm glad they went deeper with him. His wife left him. He was a struggling science fiction author. But O.B. became one of the four most important characters for the TVA next to HWR, Victor, and eventually Loki. It's funny how Ke says, "We're all gonna die!" I thought Goonies never say die? 😉

Yea I think HWR was set free by Loki. Remember he could’ve ensured the death of all Loki variants and sat at the end of time forever. But for some reason he found fascination in Loki. I think HWR wanted Loki to take the spot for some reason because he planned literally everything else it doesn’t seem out of the possibility HWR would plan for the one thing that seemingly defeated him. In the same way Loki is now bound to that set HWR was and with Loki now on it HWR is free. At least that’s my theory. HWR is kind of a villainous hero and an amazing character along with the rest of his variants. Also might be reading into this too much but HWR is included in marvel’s intro with the rest of the hero’s. I just don’t think that’s the last of HWR we will see.

6:00 Why Loki looks the way he does really could be even more simple... We never see his birth mother and he was very small for a Frostgiant baby but notice he looks an awful lot like Hela.
I think MCU Loki is only half Frostgiant and his mother is Hela, so Odin didn't adopt a random Frostgiant baby, he adopted his grandson and he just tipped what genes showed through.

I think loki is only a couple hundred years old at that point because every time he time slips he goes back to his original body. Even with the time slipping added, hes maybe in the thousands.
The main thing thing making him "old" is all that temporal radiation he experienced before he takes his throne. Im pretty sure it is said at one point that it makes time pass through you very fast. This also explains how he just walks out there with no suit; asgardians have a much higher lifespan.

Watching Loki season 2 ending i sadly get this impression that, What Loki did would Only be temporary at the end because looking closer in season 2 of key parts of "He Who Remains" and a certain "Judge" added the fact that "she" wakes up towards in the end of the episode, Not really in fear but with a determined "not going to lose" look in her eyes.
