I doubt the guys on basic controllers feel the same way while getting Jump/Drop/slide shotted into oblivion when they gotta stop aiming and enter the Konami Code to try to pull off the same. Pretty sure Sony it's self has been licensing Controller/Mice longer than they have scuf's
Using a joystick is always compromises, you want more accuracy with a low sensitivity, you literally drag your crosshair across the screen. You want a higher sensitivity, you end up with a seizure. With a mouse you can use your low, accurate, sensitivity, and you can still make quick flicks.
If you mean recoil control, ofc there is, the device for the game doesn't change mechanics of the game, recoil is determined by the game not controller/mouse. Either way, that's a stupid question
PenquinP I've played siege since the beta its in my top 3 games of all time. I own every operator and almost every attachment for every gun I play ranked with my friends almost everyday. I play in Xbox so I really don't haft to worry about the K/M thing but I feel as though if players could start using K/M on Xbox I would be fine because my level of experience. Btw I use the regular Xbox controller but I do have a elite controller.
I would love for Sony and Microsoft to host their own official mouse and keyboard adapters for consoles. As Jackfrags explained in the video, not only would it help make aiming in first person shooter games more fluid on consoles, but also help to deter people buying third-party adapters, and bring a more encouraging and open-handed approach to this topic of discussion. Excellent video Jackfrags. You earned a new subscriber today.
J Vilander lol you guys are fucking losers! And yes i hsve a better PC then you. Go get a girlfriend and youll realize all these arguments gamers have are just sad...
Johnny Yoo poor comparison. seeing as higher quality air soft guns are designed to feel and operate the exact same as the real thing . down to exact weight and dimensions
As you said, you can't really stop it, and as a result i think there should be official support for this. It would open this up to way more people and so those who play fps games would chose this over a traditional controller. Not to mention that you could game developers could pick and chose whether to enable keyboard and mouse support or not.
It's a bit of a grey area when discussing if Mouse+Keyboard should be allowed on a console. Assuming that two players have equal skill in a specific FPS then the one with a mouse and keyboard is more likely to perform at a higher level of accuracy then one using a controller. Seeing as how it can't be stopped as the KB+M Adapter just emulates a standard console controller then there really isn't anything to discuss. Those that want even slight advantages over others will always use peripherals that give them a higher chance of being able to frag before they themselves are fragged.
Holy shit man. I respect you. Using a controller is a such a dirty tactic. I can't believe anyone would use anything but a steering wheel, showerhead, lawnmower, and a ham radio from WW1.
Call me 911 I have a computer and I play battlefield 1 on pc and console and I see a huge difference and im pretty scared of having pc player skill go into console, you should really be scared if a pc gamer is scared of having pc players in console
I think this would be useful for War Thunder on PS4, you play against PC players and PS4 players at the same time so you do feel at a disadvantage sometimes on the console. You also run out of buttons on the controller. Might give this a try for that
TobyLeRone You already can. You don't even need the adapter. Just plug them in and play. Plus warthunder is cross platform... you are already playing against PC players on PS4 anyways.
droopmodMRC yep I realised that after I commented when I googled it! Had to set up all the controls again but it works, you can tell straight away the advantages in air battles for sure. But my PS4 is not in a keyboard and mouse friendly position at the moment (I'd have to sit in the middle of the living room floor...) so I will have to stick to controller for the time being. I know it's cross platform and I'm against PC players.
I have always hated playing shooters with a console controller, because using joysticks makes aiming almost impossible without having to hope the enemy moves into your crosshairs. Mouse and keyboard make also help with managing inventory( as you said).
Consoles of the past had a great advantage, plug and play. Now days consoles are entry level PC's (and that's being kind) with a inferior control interface.
Hockey Nation A gaming mouse and keyboard are also designed for that purpose, with their speed and precision totally unmatched by anything you could hope to achieve on a controller. The reason why consoles use a controller rather than M+K is because they need to be very simple and uncluttered so that young children find them easy to use.
@Hockey Nation, I love the moron comment considering your statement, the controller was not specifically made for gaming. It was made to facilitate couch gaming where a surface for a input device was not needed, it was not designed to facilitate a optimal gaming experience and or control. It was designed within the limitations of its founding platform, it is good for what it is but that doesn't make it any less inferior. I am sure the day will come where the mouse and KB will fall into the inferior gaming control category as technology progresses, when that day comes we will have to acknowledge it as you should now with the controller or look as stupid as you calling people morons on the internet to justify a unsound opinion.
I play bf1 in a ps4 HC league and learned one of my team mates is an M+K user. He is NOT using it for comfort, he is using it very intentionally to gain an advantage over other players. And because of it he's a phenomenal pilot in bf1 on ps4. Not to mention in our league we play at 125% damage, which makes the G95 a OHK to 90ish meters. With its fast fire rate and an M+K, a half skilled scout can dominate an area. If we're all gonna use M+Ks why wouldn't we all just switch to PC, or all to console?
I've played consoles all my life, that being said I have always been acclimated and comfortable with a controller. Never thought there was an issue with aim until developers started forcing aim assist to make it "easier to aim for people using a controller" thus lowering the skill curve to get better with thumb sticks. So far every comparison I've seen between mouse and keyboard and controller is done by a pc gamer, and in my opinion pc gamers are definitely not comfortable with a controller and it's much harder to get the feel for, for someone that hardly plays with one or has ever played with one. I've played many games that either didn't have aim assist or I've turned it off and still played very well with a controller. I'd like to see someone who is actually skilled with a controller demonstrate this.
V G Mouse and keyboard is just easier to aim. I play on both XBox and PC and theres a notible difference. Some other TH-camr made a good video about this. If you use a mouse, you just move your hand in one direction and stop when youre at your target. With a thumbstick you have to push it in the right direction and then you need the right timing to stop where you want to aim at. It basically involves an extra step that makes it less accurate. 'No matter how good you get running, a car is still faster.' The mouse just gives you an advantage. If you put two equally skilled players, one with mouse, the other one with controller, against each other, the mouse player will always win.
That's good for you, fortunately most people aren't deluded and realise that controllers are not even remotely accurate enough to be used in shooters without aim assist, thus most games include it. Analog sticks will never be as accurate as a mouse, not now, not ever, and aim assist is the only reason shooters exist as they are today on consoles. No, Siege, a game where there aren't any sightlines longer than 15 metres, and where gunfights even at the high level consist of inaccurate spraying until somebody dies, not having aim assist doesn't disprove this. No, Killzone, a game no one in their right mind would actually take seriously as a competitive FPS, doesn't disprove this. Stop.
i had this 'half mouse' for years. it's the left half of a controller in your left hand and a mouse with the respective 4 buttons on the other in which LM and RM are R1 and R2. Worked well, you need a decent surface but it came with it's own solid mousepad and holder. I sold it, but it made MW2 really easy back in the day.
This harks back to the days of Quake 3 Arena on Dreamcast and PC where they had cross-platform servers and the PC players just made a mockery of the console players! The console developers should both add the option of connecting keyboard and mouse to the console and playing in KB+M-only lobbies or controller-only lobbies depending on the input method they are using as you mentioned toward the end of the video. It would make sense for console developers to give people the option of using their preferred control method and would help level the playing field somewhat if developers start going down the route of cross-platform play between all consoles and PCs in the future.
Thanks Jack, good work as usual. I think the biggest folly developers and console manufacturers could run into here would be splitting the gaming community for a given game even further than it is now with the split b/w console and PC. True, for some games you can allow for the cross-platform play, but in my own personal experience, it just doesn't make for fun gameplay. Maybe the real question here is: does the merit in trying to unite the 2 communities (console and PC) in a gaming environment outweigh the disparagement some players will inevitably experience and feel with the communities combined? I think the answer is going to be allowing the consumer the ability to define their own community through customization settings. Perhaps one day we'll see such customization options beyond the now seemingly rudimentary options of allowing or disallowing "mixed" PC and console servers. Options like: allow/disallow players using mouse/keyboard but while still allowing PC players, just a narrower subset, thus making the choice in your gaming community more like the way we choose our communities IRL, without restriction. Thanks again, see you in the next one.
FPS games are *supposed* to be played with mouse & keyboard. The fact that you can't simply plug generic mice & keyboards into the USB ports is incredible to me. It seems console makers are being lazy these days. Or maybe they're being cheap. The Playstation 2 supported USB keyboards. (Not sure about mouse) Dreamcast had a mouse & keyboard. The original Playstation had a mouse. Aparently SNES & MD had mice, but I've never seen any personally.
Had to switch to pc overwatch because master level and above is all mouse and keyboard on Xbox.... those players using mouse on Xbox would get destroyed by pc players though
The controller players might be able to play better if the controller sensitivity wasn't slower than mountain in the wind, which is pretty slow. Like, takes a thousand years to make a small adjustment kind of slow. It's obvious that Blizzard doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to controller support.
joshua powell Slows down updates for all platforms involved. Should been pc exclusive. Fuck consoles if I want a controller I'll use my 360 controller on my pc. But I much prefer my m+kb
I use a Cronusmax to use my Xbox One controller on my PS4, as I can't stand the DS4. I use none of the additional features of the device, but it wouldn't be very hard to set up a lot of scripts that I would consider cheating. It's a muddy field for sure, and more discussion is needed. Great video!
you need to know that as an avid battlefield fan, BF1 has always felt broken on ps4 with the acceleration issue you described. I just always thought it was me being critical and caused me to set the game down after just a few hours.
It honestly doesn't matter. I play PC with Key board and mouse, but I also play with a controller sometimes. If you're good, youre good. Just cuz I'm potatoe on controller and I start using a mouse doesn't mean it's gonna make me better. Play with what you want. It's not cheating and tbh it's not an advantage. I've been playing multiplayer with a controller since the early socom days back in the 2000s. When I hook up my controller up on my PC I have an 18 year advantage. It's just a comfort thing. Let people play with what they want.
He's not talking about using a controller on PC though, he's talking about M&K on console. Not everyone has your experience level, and the most skilled controller user is still going to be at a disadvantage to the most skilled mouse user.
I wonder if it's more of hindrance than an assist with mouse and keyboard... I mean in the same sense as FPS players disable mouse acceleration because it messes with your muscle reflexes... I'd like to test it :)
Mean_Soldier Ive played with it and aim assist really fucks you up, sometimes youre tracking one guy then you start shooting at another, and since the assist moves it for you, you cant shoot where you want to. It feels like youre fighting the assist
Aim assist with a M&K can actually make your aim worse due to the twitchy nature of your movements, any 'corrections' made by the aim assist can completely throw your aim off. It's the reason why PC gamers make sure there is no smoothing and/or aim assist on by default when they load a game up for the first time.
Yeah, even on controller it is still a hit and miss, because you can be aiming at one person and LT which causes it to aim at another, getting you killed. And when trying to control recoil you are dealing with slowing which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Although the aiming is much less precise the assists can be a problem in certain situations.
I swear some of these console gamers are inconsistent... I've heard many of them using the controller being better as a strongpoint to their console, but when we want to use a keyboard and mouse on console it'd be considered cheating.
SpiceyMeme the difference is that controllers are more restrictive in movement and aiming in comparison to pc where it's super fluid and more precise. So to take advance controls in console where controls are limited is ridiculous
TheDragon5051 how is the controller restrictive for movement? the mouse is if anything. you have to keep resetting its position to turn which puts the joysticks at an advantage.
Well, in most games you can't even disable it - other games like BF4 i don't think anyone disables it because it is so strong... one sign is that servers without aim assist stay empty :(
Then you obviously haven't watched enough "cs:go legit hacking" vids... a smoothed, low fov aimbot is pretty similar to how aim assist works on most console shooters. How long until devs decide that pc gaming is "not casual enough"?
As someone who has muscular dystrophy and has lost the ability to use a controller, I am so excited to hear you can finally play console games with a mouse and keyboard. I'll finally be able to play all the console games I've missed out on over the last few years.
I think it’s just good to have options, the ability to chose how you want to play is why I’m on PC. I also own a PS4 because some of my friends still game on there as well. I don’t see it as an issue that you can use a KB and mouse on console.
So 1. It's not as good as using a mouse and keyboard on an actual PC for many reasons and doesn't take advantage of the abundance of keys on a keyboard 2. Messes up the "even playing field" on consoles though that has already been thrown out the window with all the enhanced consoles of this generation. 3. But still manages you a distinct a advantage towards other players in nearly every shooter game and is as close as it gets to cheating. Great
I've been using the Eagle Eye converter for a couple of years now and it differently makes a difference on FPS games. But I am also a PC gamer as well, so I can feel difference between pc mouse/keyboard and console mouse/keyboard. It doesn't match the pc feel nearly as much as you guys think, but it can be easier to get headshots and precision. I would recommend picking a converter up for your console. I got the Eagle Eye for $50 USD +a shipping and handling.
Uh, no it's not. Yes, buying one that lets you play at max settings for the next few years may be, but if you're willing to play at console frame rates and graphics, a PC isn't very expensive compared to consoles.
I played quite a bit with the competitive scene on Starwars Battlefront on the PS4, and I can say without a doubt, those with mouse and keyboard had a significant advantage in most cases. Even if you could outsmart and flank them, beating them in a 1 on 1 gunfight was incredibly hard, due to the precision and easier firing speed the mouse had. That, and with keyboard keys mapped to trigger certain control aspects like rolling, they could be very hard to hit and roll while shooting. In that game, if you had a mouse and keyboard, you could beat even skilled console players to a fairly moderate degree. It wasn't always 100%, but the advantage was undeniable and usually quite obvious.
M&K cheaters chiming in so much about the racing game "steering wheel advantage" lol. Strawman argument at its finest, and even the analysis behind that is flawed.
Not to mention that steering wheels hardly give an advantage. Controllers are great for racing games, the only real advantage is in pedals with slightly better acceleration control.
See I've no issue with a PC gamer playing Destiny or Uncharted for example with a mouse on PS4, though it would be frustrating to match them in a PvP environment. I play both PC and console, I prefer my PS4 and I have no problem logging onto PUBG and doing well so I have no sympathy when people are called cheaters on multiplatform games such as Rainbow Six Siege for using Mouse and Keyboard. I am very against something like that and it really baffles me why someone would not rather play the game on PC if they're going to us M&K. Since a major reason for me liking console over PC is this "level playing field" you talk about.
you know why some ppl cheat ? because they are bored and just want to fuck around or want to see some salt its the same if you want to play with M+K on console
I would prefer a simple thumb stick and trigger setup similar to the PS3 move controller for my left hand and a multi button mouse for my right hand. It is impossible to compete with a console player with a mouse setup vs your standard controller. They can aim more accurate. Move more precise. Turn corners on rails.
I only use my mouse and keyboard on my PS4 for when i play MMORPG's that are on PS4 since i don't have a gaming PC that can handle the new MMORPGs that are out that i would like to play. Now if people want to use them in FPS games and such, i say use it if you feel like it makes you better, or if it just helps you enjoy the game more. If i go against someone with a mouse and keyboard that is better than me, then i'll just try my hardest to become better at using the controller. In my opinion its all where you are the most comfortable with using a specific type of set up for gaming. It's all about having fun, so you choose how you want to approach the battlefield and i'll meet you on the other side or right on your six.
I could never stomach pc gaming. Although it's great for many, the idea of gaming from behind a desk just doesn't float my boat. I jumped up once and almost totaled my monitor.
This is similar to steering wheel vs controller for racing games. Wheel users are accepted on console games such as Gran Turismo, Forza, F1, etc.. multiplayer lobbies have a mix of wheel/pad users.. It's up to the developer to ensure one control method isn't OP. It's happened in the past when one of the F1 games had too much built-in assists for pad users. Eventually they patched the game to even it up. Should be noted wheels use different input to controllers so they can tweak them separately.
It's not technical cheating if they allow it obv. Allowed or not it's an advantage over those who don't have the better controller. It shouldn't be allowed if you ask me why the fuck would anyone want pple to be allowed to use controllers superior to those everyone else is using.
If you have to use a third party device to make it work, its cheating. The devs of rainbow 6 and overwatch have publicly stated that using these devices to play with m&kb on console is considered cheating and if your caught using them you'll be banned. Basically if the game doesn't allow it naturally its cheating.
Everyone has access to this people using 200 dollar scuf still have advantage over reg controller users if m&k is cheating scuff should be to but like i said everyone has access to this product
@@ShadowGamer-eh5fc scuf controllers dont give an advantage, they only give convenience. They only remap a few buttons to make them easier to push, youre still using a "controller"
I switched to PC almost 3 years ago now, stubbornly used a controller the whole time up until about 4 months ago. Still learning mouse and keyboard but I can say it's a lot more satisfying popping heads myself rather than having aim assist do it for me.
how about u just go buy one ur self and it will be even dont cry about it bc it been around for so many years no one just ever put it to spot light bc almost erry console youtuber used it
Here's a question for you, what about controller for PC? like you said when summing up its all about comfort, and personally I prefer the feel of a controller as due the subtle movements you can get with it and also I feel it's a more natural position for my hands rather than spread using a keyboard and mouse.
It's pretty easy to detect the adapter. I mean... digital-only keyboard and mouse buttons trying to emulate analog stick and triggers. Even basic input analysis should be able to pick that out.
It won’t happen. Lobbies won’t be separated based off what you’re using to play. I find it hilarious people find this an issue but are ok with fight sticks, steering wheels, and flight sticks for consoles. Besides in Japan there is already 3rd party makers for k&m for Playstation that doesn’t require an adapter.
I’ve been playing with a mouse and keyboard since my dreamcast! You know Sony has licensed PS3 and PS4 mouse/controllers. Have a look what Hori offers.
I find my self more comfortable with keyboard and mouse been part of the pc race for 10 years now. But sadly most of my friends are on console so i bought that adapter to use my keyboard and mouse in battlefield on Xbox 1 I find being accurate then with controller
keyboard you need to get a little bit used to but mouse for first person shooters is fantastic, literally no even playing field between a mouse and a pad for fps
immersion in holding down a trigger my fat ass. me holding down my mouse click is just as not immersive as holding down the trigger button on a controller.'there is nothing fun about clocking a button on a mouse lol' Yes because using a joystick that is shitter than my laptop track pad screams fun to me in a first person shooter xD ahahahahahaha
Now it doesn't need adapters. Microsoft confirmed the feature is coming to Xbox One. Saying they are in talks with developers in making multiplayer matches work with whatever you want to play with. So you get to choose which groups you want to play with. Smart move. This opens Xbox One to PC Games that couldn't go to the platform originally. Waiting Sony to copy.
Y'all pc gamers don't like the console controllers then take your m&k and go back on your pc and let consoles be consoles or get good with a controller like the rest of us did
Caetands 1 I didn't know the controller did the aim assist, I thought it was how they program the game to work on the console, shouldn't some body using a controller on pc have no aim assist putting them at a disadvantage? If I use my xbox one controller in destiny 2 on PC I will have aim assist? Or is that something they programed the PC version of Fortnight to do?
Yeah console games have aim assist, but EVERYONE else has aim assist on console so it's not even an advantage. If everyone else has the same advantage, it's not an advantage.
if there is a difference, I haven't noticed it. I played an obscene amount of cod4, mw2, and mw3 on PS3 growing up. eventually I played battlefield 3 and 4 on my new gaming pc, but I hate the confining feel of a mouse and keyboard so I used my PS3 controller. Never felt like I was at a disadvantage, and was definitely above average in the scoring and KDR. tried mouse and keyboard for a while, but it just feels too jittery to me personally.
FPS on Console with Keyboard and Mouse? It will be unstoppable. See the footage by yourself, he is dominating all the peasant. Do not forget that FPS on Console usually allow the aim-assist for a certain degree. So you are basicly playing PC with half aim hack turn on
DANNYonPC So, what about stick extenders? Is that cheating? What about buying a fightstick for fighting games? Or one of those Elite controllers? All of those provide a significant advantage, are they cheating also?
they never stood a chance against my guitar hero controller
Pfft, you normie. 1v1 me with drums.
y'all garbage 1v7488473 me with my electric carrot
Alec Johnson Those Donkey Kong bongos my dude

I prefer to play BF1 with a Guitar Hero controller. If I'm feeling retro I like to use Pong paddles
Comparing elite and scuff controllers to mouse and key board is like comparing protien shakes to steroids
nah, it's milk to experimental exoskeleton that can lift thousands of pounds..
Ugh, I should really start lifting again.
Using a joystick is always compromises, you want more accuracy with a low sensitivity, you literally drag your crosshair across the screen. You want a higher sensitivity, you end up with a seizure. With a mouse you can use your low, accurate, sensitivity, and you can still make quick flicks.
Will Xu no one uses mouse acceleration on pc
Will Xu is there no recoil with a mouse?
WHAT? Recoil? A gun's kickback? On a digital pointing device? What the hell are you talking about?
Will Xu was jw never played PC
If you mean recoil control, ofc there is, the device for the game doesn't change mechanics of the game, recoil is determined by the game not controller/mouse. Either way, that's a stupid question
Using a steering wheel on a racing sim on console gives you an advantage and they support that!
Using a monitor is a advantage, dont you think?
MR G no it doesn't
sure it does. in a sense that the learning curve isnt as steep and you have more consistent control.
depends how close you sit to your tv XD
I always compare controller/mouse with controller/steering wheel.. It's the same thing!
I play with DK bongos.
pfff, I play on a DDR mat.
Hah, Dreamcast VMU.
I play with a Wii fit pad.
you sir are a legend
You're a real ass bb my bb
With my DDR pad, I'm always a step ahead of everyone else.
*slow clap*
Fantastic delivery! Lol
with my guitar hero controller im always ahead of everyone
With my Nokia I’m always a step ahead of everyone
With my microwave, i’m always a step ahead of everyone
Using a keyboard and mouse on a console it’s like taking a gun to a fist fight.
You don't get it.
I would take a shotgun to a fist fight any day.
Artic Centurion i would take a nuke to a fist fight
No, its not cheating dude...you can play racing game on console with steering wheel...but why using mouse and keyboard on console considered cheating?
Reza Aditya using a steering wheel doesn't give you an advantage though
I'm in diamond league on Xbox and I use the guitar hero guitar would you say I'm cheating?
Lyrical Zoot Fucking noob, I use a DDR dance pad and a karaoke machine to play.
I use the orignal kinect geet n my level skrub

overwatch is probably the worst. or at least it was, i don't play anymore
VengfulDeathCow yeah I figured this out the hard way last night..
PenquinP nah I play with a controller and used to keep up with m&k players on siege alot of the time
I would love for Sony and Microsoft to host their own official mouse and keyboard adapters for consoles.

Gormett but they are
Not nice. Accurate, yes, but not nice.
Well, the controls for shooters with controllers ARE disabled...
J Vilander lol you guys are fucking losers! And yes i hsve a better PC then you. Go get a girlfriend and youll realize all these arguments gamers have are just sad...
PsychosisRecords He says jumping into a gamer argument, sweet sweet irony.
Mouse and keyboard on console is basically bringing a real gun to a air-soft battle
Johnny Yoo bringing the blitzkrieg to a cavalry battle
:D
Someone's mixing up the Panzerarmee and the tactic of Blitzkrieg
*snickers* that absurd comparison.
Johnny Yoo poor comparison. seeing as higher quality air soft guns are designed to feel and operate the exact same as the real thing . down to exact weight and dimensions
Thanks jack now everybody knows about the XMI4, now were all screwed.
Everyone already does. There loads of us
Russell Morton many* people know, I didn't know until now.
I'm so glad I switched to PC.

As you said, you can't really stop it, and as a result i think there should be official support for this. Samuraii v Good console player can beat good pc gamer because atlest in bf1 controller has a strong ass aim assist
Same
now you know, deal with it.
Call me 911 same lol
TobyLeRone no one cares
I have always hated playing shooters with a console controller, because using joysticks makes aiming almost impossible without having to hope the enemy moves into your crosshairs. Mouse and keyboard make also help with managing inventory( as you said).
Consoles of the past had a great advantage, plug and play.
Now days consoles are entry level PC's (and that's being kind) with a inferior control interface.
yes because that's what a console is suppose to be....
Hockey Nation
A gaming mouse and keyboard are also designed for that purpose, with their speed and precision totally unmatched by anything you could hope to achieve on a controller.
"hypothetically speaking, that could potentially happen." now that's a mouthfull.
btw, sweet vid, learnt alot
Was enjoying this video until I went on amazon, and the zim 4 is $150 USD...
No matter how good you get running, a car is still faster.
Anindya Mukherjee What are you trying to prove?
V G Mouse and keyboard is just easier to aim. I play on both XBox and PC and theres a notible difference.
Some other TH-camr made a good video about this.
If you use a mouse, you just move your hand in one direction and stop when youre at your target.
With a thumbstick you have to push it in the right direction and then you need the right timing to stop where you want to aim at.
It basically involves an extra step that makes it less accurate.
'No matter how good you get running, a car is still faster.'
The mouse just gives you an advantage.
If you put two equally skilled players, one with mouse, the other one with controller, against each other, the mouse player will always win.
A simpler explanation would be that mouse gives you raw input, whereas with a thumbstick you have to guide your player's view.
Stop.
Mouse and keyboard is horrible and for no skilled punks, if you wanna crush noobs, like I do, use a racing wheel. It's the superior aiming peripheral
BlueKj your racing wheel had nothing on my light shooter from nes fuck hunt game
duck not fuck...stupid phone
BlueKj mmmmmmmm I see
I think that everyone that doesn't use a plug and play Pac-Man controller is inferior.
BlueKj i prefer playing like real gamers. drawpad
The last remaining good thing about consoles was that it was balanced in the fact that everyone has the same controls and hardware. No longer!
i had this 'half mouse' for years. it's the left half of a controller in your left hand and a mouse with the respective 4 buttons on the other in which LM and RM are R1 and R2. Worked well, you need a decent surface but it came with it's own solid mousepad and holder. I sold it, but it made MW2 really easy back in the day.
Keyboard and mouse for FPS games = beast mode.
Controller for every game EXCEPT fps = beast mode
You should not forget RTS games or else you might upset the 4 people playing them.
Yeah rts is impossible on controller.
bruh imagine playing league with a controller lmfao
The advantage and unfairness is so big that it feels like getting killed while im at sleep...

Even our lord and saviour understands this is unacceptable. And he knows how to turn the other cheek yet can't ignore such injustice. 😜😅
Can't wait to wreck console noobs with a mouse and keyboard
Cristian Curelea He who has to come to the land of noobs to become king isn't much of a king at all. 😜😅
CarbonitePlays Never knew about this, that's crazy.
thats actully so true kbm would rape consoles but the different sever ideas would give the peasants a choice (even though they dont like choice)
I still have an official M&K for the Dreamcast, never used but I think it was usable for one of the Unreal games.
(Not sure about mouse)
Dreamcast had a mouse & keyboard.
The original Playstation had a mouse.
Aparently SNES & MD had mice, but I've never seen any personally.
Um my mouse and keyboard identifies as a controller and not letting me use it on my Xbox is offensive and triggering and your racist.
Arkillik Underrated as hell
This is an all inclusive PC Transitioned Console Space.
You used the correct "you're". You're not in character properly.
lmao
Not to forget he assumed the keyboards gender and thats unaccaptable..
Had to switch to pc overwatch because master level and above is all mouse and keyboard on Xbox.... those players using mouse on Xbox would get destroyed by pc players though
The advantage is too great on a high level competitive game
The controller players might be able to play better if the controller sensitivity wasn't slower than mountain in the wind, which is pretty slow. Like, takes a thousand years to make a small adjustment kind of slow. It's obvious that Blizzard doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to controller support.
Jordy61601 they shouldnt of even made it for consoles
joshua powell Slows down updates for all platforms involved. Should been pc exclusive. Fuck consoles if I want a controller I'll use my 360 controller on my pc. But I much prefer my m+kb
Jonny Chase I got 4500 on xbox with an elite controller
I use a Cronusmax to use my Xbox One controller on my PS4, as I can't stand the DS4. I use none of the additional features of the device, but it wouldn't be very hard to set up a lot of scripts that I would consider cheating. It's a muddy field for sure, and more discussion is needed. Great video!
you need to know that as an avid battlefield fan, BF1 has always felt broken on ps4 with the acceleration issue you described. I just always thought it was me being critical and caused me to set the game down after just a few hours.
kingjester2006 battlefield aiming on console has always been miles behind the aiming on games like call of duty
You can turn the acceleration off.
kingjester2006 BF1 doesn't have an acceleration issue on PS4 if you turn it off.
Loving this type of content bro ❤
All consoles are eventually going to morph into some kind of pc/hybrid and probably become more mobile one day. It's pretty cool.
Aim assist with mouse and keyboard seems pretty OP
I wonder if it's more of hindrance than an assist with mouse and keyboard... I mean in the same sense as FPS players disable mouse acceleration because it messes with your muscle reflexes... I'd like to test it :)
Mean_Soldier Ive played with it and aim assist really fucks you up, sometimes youre tracking one guy then you start shooting at another, and since the assist moves it for you, you cant shoot where you want to. It feels like youre fighting the assist
it's not actually it's annoying
They play on console so they are basically paying for a overpriced locked pc with sub standard controllers and games.
SpiceyMeme the difference is that controllers are more restrictive in movement and aiming in comparison to pc where it's super fluid and more precise. So to take advance controls in console where controls are limited is ridiculous
Yes, nobody considers it cheating to use controller on pc. It's because people know k and m is better
TheDragon5051 how is the controller restrictive for movement? the mouse is if anything. you have to keep resetting its position to turn which puts the joysticks at an advantage.
The Sandity sony and xbox brand controllers are better than 3rd party controllers. just a fact. sorry.
Yeah let's not talk about the aim-assist bullsh!t that basically destroys the core of shooter games and competitive gaming... :(
fftunes how many people use it
because I rarely see any in consoles. but on pc ohhhhhh that's another story
Well, in most games you can't even disable it - other games like BF4 i don't think anyone disables it because it is so strong... one sign is that servers without aim assist stay empty :(
Tepix You better hope it stays that way.
(and yeah let's not talk about aimbots and wallhacks lol)
Tepix lol, hacks on ps4? Show me.
Using a mouse is for the pros. Using a contoller is for the trolls. xD
But can it run crisis
doge the amazing hd made my day
Lol
I hooked a Speak'n'Spell up to my Sega Saturn... Am I doing this right?
Yes
Great
PC players never plug in a controller to play competitive games, nuff said.
I do lol
Kim Nielsen coreross does on siege lol
What about a fighting game like street fighter. I would assume it's better to use a controller for that
@@truelllart same for ds3

I've been using the Eagle Eye converter for a couple of years now and it differently makes a difference on FPS games. But I am also a PC gamer as well, so I can feel difference between pc mouse/keyboard and console mouse/keyboard. It doesn't match the pc feel nearly as much as you guys think, but it can be easier to get headshots and precision. I would recommend picking a converter up for your console. I got the Eagle Eye for $50 USD +a shipping and handling.
Well, would you let a man compete in the women's Olympics?
A Buzzed Whaler if it's not against the fucking rules put all the fucking men in there for all I care
Well I believe it is against the rule.
This analogy answers the question this video puts forth in the most simple and concise way possible
Karl Valiquette Tell that to Caster Semenya ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Let me guess the mouse and keyboard "identify" themselves as a controller
Shouldn't you just play on PC if you want keyboard n mouse? Not skilled enough to compete against other PC gamers?
Ura Towel it’s not that it’s about skill, it’s that once you get accustomed to kb&m it can be really difficult to go back
I would use this to play exclusive games like the new god of war for ps4.
Cause building a decent gaming pc is insanely expensive right now
no its not
Uh, no it's not.
Everytime.
I think you meant "false equivalence".
Not to mention that steering wheels hardly give an advantage. Controllers are great for racing games, the only real advantage is in pedals with slightly better acceleration control.
I think it is cheating when playing something like Ranked on R6S
Exactly. This really isn't such a big deal in casual games like BF1 or Star Wars, but in Ranked, competitive games like R6S and Halo
Bacon Storm tbh a lot of people in plat and higher always use mouse and keyboard....
Bacon Storm agreed
+Paul it has no aim assist
I'd love to do this in warzone
See I've no issue with a PC gamer playing Destiny or Uncharted for example with a mouse on PS4, though it would be frustrating to match them in a PvP environment. I play both PC and console, I prefer my PS4 and I have no problem logging onto PUBG and doing well so I have no sympathy when people are called cheaters on multiplatform games such as Rainbow Six Siege for using Mouse and Keyboard. I am very against something like that and it really baffles me why someone would not rather play the game on PC if they're going to us M&K. Since a major reason for me liking console over PC is this "level playing field" you talk about.
you know why some ppl cheat ? because they are bored and just want to fuck around or want to see some salt
its the same if you want to play with M+K on console
Arcane Gianterino Kripperino no its not dumbass lmao
Why would people use m&k on a multiplatform game in your opinion then? Because at the moment I have to agree with Arcane....
Is my USB steering wheel cheating then? :(
lol
Is my usb headset cheating?
Absolutely! You do realize what kind of precision turning you can get with that right!? You deserve to be banned!
Dark souls with a usb steering wheel op?
Eduard Portillo yes
In bf1 use it on a horse with brakes for melee and gas for grenades youll be unstoppable
Nintendo 64 master race, Rip PC
Hahah! :D k.
We all know Alexa is the most accurate to aim with.
There was a game once on ps3 called Dust 514 (based on the EVE online universe) and it had keyboard mouse support
Vilmamir now im questioning if I should be sad I missed out on playing it
CSGO on PS3 had it too. The game had horrible resolution, frame rate and input lag though so using m+kb was almost a disadvantage.
Vilmamir as much as I bitched about dust I still miss it.
Dust 514 was a rip off of a xbox 360 game called prejudice iirc
Unreal tournament 3 on ps3 had mouse and keyboard support...Worked great for me
For those who, like me, are unfortunate enough to have arthritis a KB + M adaptor is the perfect solution to gaming with my kids or buddies.
If mouse is cheating on console why isn't a wheel also cheating in racing games?
The wheel is permitted by both parties.

That's what I do.

Yes, you can in some games.
you can't disable it in destiny, even the amount of aim asist is diffrent for every single weapon
Here's a question for you, what about controller for PC? like you said when summing up its all about comfort, and personally I prefer the feel of a controller as due the subtle movements you can get with it and also I feel it's a more natural position for my hands rather than spread using a keyboard and mouse.
Voice commands work pretty good
Even if lobbies get separated, it wouldn't be hard to use a 3rd party adapter to fool the console into thinking it's a controller.
It would still be a better option than forcing M+K together. Most players, I'd imagine, would want to play with their own "kind."

What's happening? Console Peasants are evolving! Console Peasants evolved into Reasonable Citizens!
I've been doing this since the early ps3 on a splitfish mouse and control stick, so this has been going on for almost 10 years
Y'all pc gamers don't like the console controllers then take your m&k and go back on your pc and let consoles be consoles or get good with a controller like the rest of us did
You're probably not even good you just got used to the aim assist and alot of people use this for the exclusive games.
Controllers require no skill, this is coming from a console gamer turned PC gamer...
CODNOMBIES same, and true that.

Do not forget that FPS on Console usually allow the aim-assist for a certain degree.
So you are basicly playing PC with half aim hack turn on
And people dont see it as cheating lmao
it's even worse on games like r6 siege, because if someone is using a mouse and keyboard, they will always win
why wouldn't they? if you've never pc gamed you won't be some god and the tech only emulates the controller input and is limited to that input
A mediocre PC player could probably beat a top console player, especially if neither got autoaim.
DANNYonPC it is cheating. Yet Sony and ms allow it lol
DANNYonPC So, what about stick extenders? Is that cheating? What about buying a fightstick for fighting games? Or one of those Elite controllers? All of those provide a significant advantage, are they cheating also?
