Rote island is indeed breathtaking, I went there with my gals in 2018 and it blew me away. It feels so unreal to sit by the beach watching the sunset, or in early morning when I woke up and listened to those birds chirping near my cottage. I am so grateful and blessed to be born in Indonesia because I don't have to apply for a visa to go there, it's so beautiful and I almost cried when I reached the place, the people are friendly and welcoming. Somehow, when I was there, only us who were Indonesians, most of visitors in the cottage were foreigners (Aussie or other nationalities who are searching for waves for surfing), so feel a bit strange, in my country but saw so many foreigners. Anyhow, it was one of my best trips ever!
