- This video has been created at the request of the community. Red Dead Redemption II is not optimized for the new generation, so the results we get are practically the same as the PS4 Pro and One X. While the Series X version goes at 3840x2160p, PS5 should settle for the maximum resolution that hit PS4 Pro in this game, 1920x2160p. Regarding the framerate, the Series X version has a slight frame-pacing while on PS5 it goes at a constant 30fps. I can't believe this game is two years old now, it's a visual spectacle!

Knowing R* we will have to pay full price for it again.

I’d happily pay a fee of say $10-$20 for a next gen port (of RDR2) but absurd to charge full price again.

At the time I had just gotten an Xbox one X and a Samsung Qled 4K HDR tv after having the same tv for over 10 years. I knew it was going to be great but even then I wasn’t expecting to be blown away like I was. Nothing comes close to the spectacle that is red dead 2 from a technical stand point.

Both struggle to hold the 30fps with this settings, I would guess for 60 resolution/details have to be downgraded. But we can hope for a good compromize at least.

I remember when I was a kid, little boy playing, with plastic horse toys and another animal toys, now play this game twenty years after is just amazing. The game is so imersive, realistic and full of life and nature. I can't imagine what we will have, ten or twenty years in the future.

I'm 45 y old, I felt the same. Now I'm wondering this kind of game in a virtual imersive like Shadowrun games tells the future will be. Without the drugs for sure.
I'm replaying on PS5, and while it does look and feel much better than it did on my base PS4 in 2018, it is heartbreaking that it doesn't run in 4k like it does on the Series X. This game NEEDS a next-gen patch at the very least to get it running 4k and 60fps on both consoles

@GeneralZod2044 Yeah RDR2 is quite ahead of anything The Witcher 3 did.. sure it was a few years newer but it’s so next gen that it makes even small environment games look dated. Everything in RDR2 is quality as far as I’m concerned.

This is the xbox one x and ps4 pro version running on next gen. The resolution and loading already bigger and faster on one x.

personally, being that the game goes with backwards compatibility, you should see the game when they put the patch. but the Xbox version is much more detailed and in high resolution

@@VolimRabar1007 Yes, but only in the first games, Sony sent the development kits about 2 years ago to the developers, Microsoft sent them this year so the games were ported from PS5 to Series X. In the case of RDR2 or GTA V for next gen coming out in 2021 I think they will have enough time to get the most out of the hardware of both consoles.

@@remikjank9780 no it just needs a resolution and framerate increase across both platforms. Boost both consoles to full 1800p 60fps or so.

If they made a 60fps mode it would never be native 4k on ps5 and the most recent games show that, it'll be a form of checkerboard 4k which it already hits. Do you play the game on a next gen console? I really don't see what it needs. Most games can benefit from 60 or 120fps and in this game that doesn't seem that desirable for how slow paced it is considering you'd have to take a quality hit

@@alemora420 El motor gráfico de rockstar, si bien es viejo, es uno de los más potentes incluso a día de hoy. Si no estoy mal, el único motor gráfico considerablemente superior es el que utiliza Naughty Dog.
Con estas comparaciones nos podemos dar cuenta que a Sony aún le falta mejorar la retrocompatibilidad para llegarle a la de Xbox. Espero que al menos saquen un parche para el RDR 2 para que vaya a 60 fps.
Mejor tener una series x porque Sony no va a poner mejor.
Creo que se debe mas a que se estan utilizando las versiones mejoradas de las consolas de la generacion pasada (ps4 pro y xbox one x), pero sony apesto mucho en su retrocompatibilidad

Hey, I see a lot of people complaining how this is just ps4 pro vs Xbox one x. However, I feel like rdr 2 is one of the most influential games of the last generation so it deserves a comparison like this for sure, imo. Really hope that rockstar updates the game for both ps5 and xbox series x. Would be absolutely amazing to see how much better it could get on both the monsters.
@@MichaelM28 the next-gen consoles will probably end up with 4k-dynamic 4k med to high settings for the game, as reference the consoles run a lot of the stuff lower than the lowest setting available in the game settings on pc, and I think it will be 30fps again unless they sort their engine out which I doubt till the next big release eg gta 6

I started playing this game a while back and about 3 to 4 hrs into i realized I need to stop!!! Not because the game sucks or anything its just once I realized how large and expansive it was.......im gonna need more time to dig into this and at the time and even still now, my game time is suffering but this is a really cool game totally recommend 👌!!!

When I played for the first time, I was like "nah, just some good graphics on the snow and horse that is all". Then later I was like "whoa, graphics, gameplay and story, it's all well balanced ". Now I can't stop playing it.
Fuck off, RDR2 has terrible gameplay. Same old outdated Rockstar open world game design, and same old clunky character movements.

@@gironmolina it’s comparing the ps4 pro version vs the Xbox 1x version, and if it’s any consolation to your ego, this video seems to be shot at least 10 days ago, rdr2 on the ps5 rn runs at 4K 60fps (uncapped), and loads the game well under 30 seconds, and it’s still not fully optimized to take advantage of the ps5 system

What is the actual output and rendered resolutions for the PS5? Your video states 1920x2160 which is a typo (even though you mentioned that number multiple times for the PS5), it'd be 1080x1920 or 2160x3840.
For the loading time. Is the game installed on an external hard drive (HDD)? Cause if it’s stored internal or even an external SSD it would load a lot faster than that

@@Justin_GFM PS5's SSD is fast, but you only get the next gen speeds on PS5 native games. That said, it's still affected by how much you have to load and Saint Denis is the most demanding area of the game by quite some way.

Been playing this on my PS5 the last few days, and it’s pretty much the same as it was on my PS4 pro. The game is locked unfortunately and will not go any higher unless RockStar releases a patch, to unlock the frame rate to 60fps

I know this is late but he's recording lossless video to then use free software which analyzes each frame and will create a new video file with the graph as shown in the video which you can edit before you start the render.
guys i miss this game so much i actually love it quite a lot. In June I had plans to go see my girlfriend in Mexico City, but I had no money to pay for my bus ticket, so I made the decision to sell my Xbox so I could spend three days with her, yesterday we finished and I it hurt a lot.

Glad my first experience of this game was in native 4K on the One X. I have to say though, after having switched to playing exclusively on PC, both console versions here look super blurry and aliased in comparison. The XSX version still looks decent, but the PS5 version looks horrible.

The PS5 version is objectively blurrier than the XSX version because it is running the game in a lower native resolution than the XSX is, and neither one is as sharp as the game is on PC. Most of the Telivsions have a Processor to Fill the Gap between 30 FPS & 50/60 FPS they give the Technology Different Names For Example Motion Rate,MotionFlow,TruMotion,Smooth Motion Rate, Clear Motion or Now PQI .
Most of the Computer Monitors are Designed To Receive the 60 FPS Which is in the Most Cases Archieveable
So Its Kinda Hard To Compare the Smoothness .

Game looked amazing, but I gave it a go on two separate occasions on the PS4 PRO and just couldn't get into the slow, clunky controls and movement. I think if there were a 60fps patch for the PS5, Id give it a third chance.
You certainly need to give it another chance. I don't even like westerns, but this might be the greatest game of all time. I love other story-based adventure games. TLOU, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. are amazing games. However, I'd play RDR2 again and again. It ranks up there with Skyrim as the most re-playable games. I went with the Xbox Series X for this generation's consoles (at least first). The game looks fantastic (especially in 4K).
@@ccchhhrrriiisss100 yeah, when it goes on a steep sale, I'll prb give it one more go. I just didnt like the shooting mechanics and found the overall experience slow. Not to mention, playing the game felt like a bit of a chore.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 It is slow. Intentionally slow. I didn't really enjoy it until I got used to and internalized its pace. The game is set at a time of incredible, radical social change--but in a time when daily change was slow, incremental, and even short distances took a long time to traverse. The game really wants you to *feel* that pace.
It's not perfect, and there are games I like better--but its relative slowness is an intentional feature.

Man, this game would absolutely shine on 60 fps. This, along with Death Stranding (imagine adaptive triggers in this game!) and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Ese parche de rock star te lo van a vender en forma de remastered, ayer se filtro en amazon que se tiene planeada un versión de RDR1 y RDR2 para la next gen.
