For me it’s based on which games I enjoy. All my friends were telling me to get the Xbox but I ultimately went with the PlayStation since it had games that I would enjoy (I really like RPGS that are exclusives for some reason). And with this being my first non-Nintendo console I wanted to get something I was familiar with. But now, a lot of my friends hate me since I didn’t take their advice and instead went with my brother’s when he told me to think back to when I was really young and he and I playing ratchet and clank and sonic all of the time

@@H4P. Due to the playback capabilities on the Xbox X from xbox1, all the way up and even ps4 games? On an Xbox? Plus the cross cloud capabilities from pc, to tablet, to phone , back to tv? Yeah your getting much more value for your money then ps5. People don't realise that sony makes it to where your only limited to buying games worth $60+$70+ dollars and only exclusive to them as well as limitation in back compatability. Your already spending to much money on a game system for sony to apply limitations only for the reason of making profit and pushing folks to buy new games. With Xbox you get much more of the new games plus the classics across all your devices. Sony is to limited now not like when they launched a full back compatable version on the ps3. So again i'm going with Xbox as ugly as that square box is i'll just turn it into a coca-cola cooler and add some chritmas lights to it. But to me i already own the back compatable ps3 and have a game collection the goes from ps1 all the way up to ps3. I chose to skip the ps4 on porpouse to see what sony would do next as far as back compatibility goes. When they anounced they would not offer a seperate back compatible version that was a deal breaker for me. Can't wait until after march where all the problems on the new systems are fixed and more games come out. I'm in now rush to be the testing rat of any brand. I leave that to many of you who thirst for the first batch. No way i will wait it out until after march to get my XBox X 1TB.

Yes totally agree, I absolutely hate TH-camrs and streamers with a passion, purely for that reason. Most TH-camrs never get to the point, long intros, like, subscribe and talk utter shit stretched out in a 15 minute video which all info could be done in 3 minutes. They can fuck off. This guy, yes got to the point, the rare kind that we need more of!
I went with ps5 solely because of dualsense, and I was not disappointed! Though both are amazing and the Xbox controller is more comfortable, i just wanted to experience those games i was in, but you can go with either as they are both truly next gen.
I went from Xbox to PS5 and I like the dualsense controller but the Xbox controller was just more confortable. I do love the PS5 and the Spider-Man games have been just plain engaging and addicting two hours go by like nothing.
If you already have a gaming PC, then the PS5 is the perfect way to go, since you already get Xbox exclusives on PC anyway. I have the PC and PS5 and couldn't be happier with both!
Yea and if you ever intend on building a pc, than ps5 is the way to go. I'm probably gonna buy a ps5 over the summer or something, and build a pc in 3-4 years.

I love my Series X, but definitely feel the lack of dope exclusives. However, I also can't game that often and when I do, I play a lot of Halo online... so it's perfect for me. Definitely missing a more next-gen controller though.
I went from Xbox 360 to the Xbox Series X. The load times and Quick Resume are insane features that completely change the gaming experience as a whole.
@@29kalel Yeah I've been using SSD's in my last couple of PC' s so was kind of used to the speed but having the console be so snappy and not hanging around taking an age to do things thanks to a slow HDD feels good. I still have HDD's in my PC but I mainly use them for storage rather than gaming (unless it's an old game that doesn' t need an SSD boost)as getting large SSD's can be rather expensive for me. The series X definitely feels quick and responsive which tbh couild encourage me to use it moer especiall ygiven the XB1 felt a bit sluggish at times which ws why despite the fact I did like a lot of the games I got I barely used it.
Yeah i hate how kids nowadays fight over a piece of plastic and defend a multimillionaire company that literally gives 0 f's about them , i have both and i love them both i play Sony exclusives wich are amazing games aswell as Xbox exclusives wich are great aswell , in my 1440p-144hz monitor i literally can't notice a difference and if there is one i could not care less because both consoles let me enjoy gaming wich i love doing

In recent years I have come to respect both consoles. I own an Xbox and Halo has wrapped my heart, my friends all own Xboxes and PCs so it was a no brainer, but I couldn't be upset with either consoles as you said in the video. Honestly, the only missing piece of the puzzle I find with the Xbox is the fact that it's missing some exclusives. I wanted to get Horizon Zero Dawn, proceeded to the store on Xbox and found it nowhere. It bothered me, but I moved on.

Sony def has the best exclusives for now. Microsoft dropped a lot of cash to acquire some crazy exclusives tho so I suspect Xbox might catch up. I’m honestly torn what to buy. I’d love to play Spider-Man and god of war but I also have high hopes for starfield and TES6 in the distant future will also be Xbox exclusive probably

I got the ps5 already I’m going to wait a bit before the sx. It is basically the same as the xb1 but with better graphics so I’ll wait a year or two when the games aren’t cross gen
My thing with the console war is how many controllers you go through and the amount of games available with one purchase. My friends with a ps4 or ps5 constantly go through controllers because of either the charger port started to bend down or the controller’s inputs on going through. And I used to play ps4 a lot for two years even though I’m a life king Xbox player, one thing I’ve noticed is PlayStation is that online competition is a lot easier. And I’ve played a lot of COD black ops 4, fortnite and apex. It was really easy to dominate compared to Xbox. One thing about PlayStation that I’ll give credit for is how the controller feels and responds, however I feel like all the mechanical parts that make the controller more advanced; break easier. I respect PlayStation but I’m an Xbox fan since the first Xbox. The fact that a jail broken Xbox can play old PlayStation games is hilarious when PlayStation is having a hard time with backwards compatibility.
I have 3 ps4 controller and none of them have broken or gotten stuck drift. I also have a DualSense which is going on perfectly fine too. I just got an edge controller and it’s perfect, the only thing I would ask for is 2 more back buttons

But, I wish the UI and controller had changed a bit more from last gen to make it more next gen. Childhood was with Playstation (1 & 2) and my teens/20's have been Xbox (360 and One). Hby?

Both consoles are amazing. I love that PlayStation is pushing the bar and I’m also happy Xbox just improved their existing formula. I’m just glad I was able to get both.

Good luck getting your hands on one! I know it’s easy for me to say since I have them but try to wait it out and avoid scalpers if possible.
Xbox Series X, the full backwards compatibility sold me even the control pads and accessories are backwards compatible, you save more money with game pass and you can play all the retro games xbox ever made, sometimes newer doesn't mean better but if the newer can play the older.... Now we are talking!
I'm a playstation guy but now that we have crossplay I can play with Xbox and PC players so to me it's just pretty amazing that we can all play together on select games.

I have a great PC (RTX 3070), so I picked the PS5 for the exclusives. Clear choice for me. But I just couldn't wait for the next gen, so I upgraded my PC. Otherwise I would also get both.
Tbh I got a PlayStation 5 so I’d figured I get a series s being that it was easier to find and when I say this I mean it the series S holds up to ANY NEXT GEN CONSOLE

Honestly I play my Series S more than my ps5 that game pass library is AMAZING over one hundred games my series S looks just as good as my ps5 I see no difference changing from ps5 to series S
After 8 years of playing PlayStation I bought my first Xbox again and let me say I love it just as much. Made me miss those moments when I first started playing video games with the original Xbox and 360 in my adolescent years. Am 25 now and can’t be more happy to have an Xbox again. Soon I will have them both.
Yea I’m 24 and i had a 360 back in the day. The Xbox was the clear winner in the 360/PS3 generation. I bought a Series X because the system and the exclusives appealed to me more than the PS5 did. I’m glad I bought it. But I bought a PS5 last week too. I couldn’t get any friends to make the switch this generation. I have to have a PS if I want to continue gaming with friends, which is kind of a shame. I wouldn’t have minded going back to Xbox this generation and not bothering with PS5
It’s really up to preference I’ve been playing on both for the pass 2 months and I rather the Xbox. I think it’s better and I grew up with both of them in my household.
I’m honestly glad they didn’t change the UI of the series X. It works, it’s smooth and I know it. And both are Fantastic machines. You can’t go wrong either way. Since all my friends are on Xbox, I went with the series X. However, I’m definitely going to get a ps5 sooner or later
I have honest review. Last week I was hype for the ps5 but I couldnt have a chance to buy in launch day because I was so busy. So I went online for pre order but all sold out. I went to store all sold out too. The only available was xbox. So I was force to buy xbox series just to try if its good or bad. I regret buying it unlike my last time buying xbox one. (Im not a xbox fan but I have one just for a my kids) xbox sucks they did not build something new in the controller plus lack of luanch games like seriously is xbox still a console? Imagine spending a lot of money for xbox and nothing new about it. Yes it has a good specs but the specs is useless if the xbox has no exclusive games.
PS5 vs XBOX. This is the first review for me that seemed a bit more balanced. For a second I thought you were going to choose the Xbox. I also found a better appreciation for game pass and the quick switch between games simply based on how you emphasized them. Thanks for this review!
Don’t think it really matters tbh I got both and while I play on pc mostly ..i honestly won’t waste space on my pc to play Xbox games when I can just get an Xbox ..yea we get game pass but for me the shit is super jank and doesn’t work and 99% of the time I’m not playing games on game pass I’m playing steam games so having an Xbox is super clutch…I would go with ps5 but only thing ps5 has going for it is a sleek look and like just a handful of decent exclusive games which doesn’t bother me since the games I like are on both consoles lol ….it’s really just preference
@@nozakikun6760 Well that is only partially true. I doubt they will bring PS games to PC any time soon. Bloodborne came out in 2015 and it still hasn't been ported to the PC, so games like Spiderman, Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. will either take a very long time to come to PC or they will never be ported. Currently, as far as im aware, Xbox has ZERO exclusives that arent already on PC. So, the clear play is to make a PC + PS5 setup for best gaming experience.
@@MizukiGPO Yeah I mostly game on PC but I did have an XB1 but it died on me so I got a series X to replace it as I wanted to keep using and playing the games I had bought for the XB1. I was also kind of curious to try the Hypermotion stuff they added into Fifa given that wasn't given t othe PC version so I got the series X and Fifa 22 for it. Als ogiven you can play any Xbox game on the series X thanks t othe backwards compatibility the yequipped it with it might come in handy if I do pick up an old Xbox game or 2 say at a boot fair or something. I haven' truled out getting prpoer next gen sreies X games for i teither in time but at the end of the day I got the X so I could continue to use what I had.
My 1st console was the original PS. Loved it so much that I stayed with them and upgraded to PS2. Somewhere in there I picked up a used xbox because my 1st Lan party with Halo just blew me away. Then 3rd gen consoles came and both the price of games and consoles went above what I was willing to spend at that time so I turned to Nintendo and was happy to play their handheld systems. Getting the Xbox series X was an easy decision for me. I have Nintendo Switch for my exclusives, strategy, and rpg needs while the Xbox satisfied my craving for FPS and games that required higher processing and graphical power.
The PS5 does have a couple of exclusives on my wishlist, and I've been a PS guy pretty much my whole life, as I own every PS console but this one. I will also get the Series S as well, mainly because of Play Anywhere titles that I got on Windows, it's compact size for easy portability and most importantly; Halo Infinite
Throughout my gaming history I've never settled for one or the other when it came to these 2. PS2 was my first Playstation I owned back in early 2000s, ran with that for a few years and have found memories with it, switched over to Xbox 360 in 2007, had a blast with that console played awesome games on it and enjoyed it just as much as I did the PS2. 2015 I switched back to Playstation (4), had a good time with those games. Bought the Xbox One in 2019 so I could play the Gears 4 & 5 (Gears is my favorite game series ever). And thats where I currently sit. I know at some point in time I'll eventually own both PS5 and Xbox Series X, but that'll be awhile, can't go blowing money on gaming like some people can, got a family and bills to worry about, but I think I'm going with Xbox Series X first, that way I'll have it when Gears 6 eventually comes out lol.

Same, though I had a negative experience with Microsoft when I got a brand new defective Xbox 360, I shipped to Microsoft for warranty work, had to pay the shipping, took over 3 months and when it got returned they simply said could not do anything because it was open by somebody, never did that. Since then haven't returned to Microsoft. Plus ps has some exclusives Xbox does not have that I am interested on.
Series s for me , bearly was able to get my hands on it , I was going to get the ps5 de but after seeing the scalpers I gave up and got the series s , gamepass can make up for the specks in my opinion

For my personal budget I grabbed an Xbox series x primarily because of game pass which has been an amazing experience . Hopefully after tax season I’ll be able to find a ps5 . The Sony exclusives are the one thing that I’m missing on my Xbox but having both of them along with the switch would be a harmony of mathematical precision lol I think all consoles are wonderful in their perspective but together it’s gamers paradise .

I think both of these consoles will go down as great consoles. The PS5 is the better option at launch mainly because of the exclusives actually being present (the duel sense is fantastic too). But I think by the end of the generation, the Series X will be considered the better console because of its superior power, smaller size and the games it will have (although those games will be playable on PC). Just my thoughts, I’m looking to start a discussion. Great review
as long as the games run in 120fps with 4k why get an Xbox? I bought a console for games only not because of size, the so called power, or the games which the only one i can think of is halo infinite
If the Dualsense weren't a thing, this would be much more closer competition-wise, but the Dualsense is just so revolutionary not just in the console area but gaming overall that it is definitely worth it. It honestly changes the way you experience games.

I don't see them creating a slim version since the power required to run games at 60/120 creates a lot of heat and you need the space to have robust fans and other cooling mechanisms. Most of the size of the current PS5 is attributed to the heat sink and fans. I would be looking forward to the Pro version if anything.

I was also only PlayStation but got a Gamecube/Wii and Xbox and Metroid prime trilogy and Forza horizon 3/4 are among my favourites of all time. Don't limit yourself imo.
I grew up with PlayStation, I was happy with my PS2, PS3 and PS4 so I will definitely buy the PS5! However, I do like the Xbox Series X | S. But we all know OUYA is the best console.
For me it's always about the games. Playstation has never failed in that department. If you care about specs and all that nonsense go build or buy a pc.
@redx so lets see... god of war, horizon zero dawn forbidden west, spider-man, Bloodborne, The Last of Us, Persona, Ratchet & Clank, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, inFAMOUS, Gran Turismo, Until Dawn, Sackboy, just to name a few. Also the outrageous amounts of free ps plus games (that you get to keep forever) and the ps plus collection that basically gives you the best PS4 games all in one package. and don't even get me started with Nintendo games... just remember one thing, quality games over hardware and quantity any day of the week. I have a pc with and rtx 3060 that can basically play any game above 60fps on ultra settings and I personally get bored to death with gamepass. It’s a lot of games but also a lot of meh games or games that I already played.
@redx bro... respect your opinion but imo and also the majority of people's opinion based on reviews and overall audience feedback, those games that you listed are an absolute joke compared to the PS Studio lineup, but hey, to each their own. also you keep talking about how much games you have, but again, always remember that quality is always over quantity. bethesda has some great games like doom, skyrim, fallout but lets be real, they're not the best when it comes to consistency, and this is proven by their history.

If you already have a gaming PC, then the PS5 is the perfect way to go, since you already get Xbox exclusives on PC anyway. I have the PC and PS5 and couldn't be happier with both!

@@29kalel Yeah I've been using SSD's in my last couple of PC' s so was kind of used to the speed but having the console be so snappy and not hanging around taking an age to do things thanks to a slow HDD feels good. I still have HDD's in my PC but I mainly use them for storage rather than gaming (unless it's an old game that doesn' t need an SSD boost)as getting large SSD's can be rather expensive for me. The series X definitely feels quick and responsive which tbh couild encourage me to use it moer especiall ygiven the XB1 felt a bit sluggish at times which ws why despite the fact I did like a lot of the games I got I barely used it.

In recent years I have come to respect both consoles. I own an Xbox and Halo has wrapped my heart, my friends all own Xboxes and PCs so it was a no brainer, but I couldn't be upset with either consoles as you said in the video. Honestly, the only missing piece of the puzzle I find with the Xbox is the fact that it's missing some exclusives. I wanted to get Horizon Zero Dawn, proceeded to the store on Xbox and found it nowhere. It bothered me, but I moved on.
I like my ps5, been playing it everyday since launch day. Perhaps in the future I might buy a series X.

My thing with the console war is how many controllers you go through and the amount of games available with one purchase. My friends with a ps4 or ps5 constantly go through controllers because of either the charger port started to bend down or the controller’s inputs on going through. And I used to play ps4 a lot for two years even though I’m a life king Xbox player, one thing I’ve noticed is PlayStation is that online competition is a lot easier. And I’ve played a lot of COD black ops 4, fortnite and apex. It was really easy to dominate compared to Xbox. One thing about PlayStation that I’ll give credit for is how the controller feels and responds, however I feel like all the mechanical parts that make the controller more advanced; break easier. I respect PlayStation but I’m an Xbox fan since the first Xbox. The fact that a jail broken Xbox can play old PlayStation games is hilarious when PlayStation is having a hard time with backwards compatibility.
I have 3 ps4 controller and none of them have broken or gotten stuck drift. I also have a DualSense which is going on perfectly fine too. I just got an edge controller and it’s perfect, the only thing I would ask for is 2 more back buttons

Xbox Series X, the full backwards compatibility sold me even the control pads and accessories are backwards compatible, you save more money with game pass and you can play all the retro games xbox ever made, sometimes newer doesn't mean better but if the newer can play the older....

After 8 years of playing PlayStation I bought my first Xbox again and let me say I love it just as much. Yea I’m 24 and i had a 360 back in the day. The Xbox was the clear winner in the 360/PS3 generation. I bought a Series X because the system and the exclusives appealed to me more than the PS5 did. I’m glad I bought it.

I have honest review. Last week I was hype for the ps5 but I couldnt have a chance to buy in launch day because I was so busy. So I went online for pre order but all sold out. I went to store all sold out too. The only available was xbox. So I was force to buy xbox series just to try if its good or bad. I regret buying it unlike my last time buying xbox one. @@nozakikun6760 Well that is only partially true. I doubt they will bring PS games to PC any time soon. Bloodborne came out in 2015 and it still hasn't been ported to the PC, so games like Spiderman, Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. will either take a very long time to come to PC or they will never be ported. Currently, as far as im aware, Xbox has ZERO exclusives that arent already on PC. So, the clear play is to make a PC + PS5 setup for best gaming experience.
@@MizukiGPO Yeah I mostly game on PC but I did have an XB1 but it died on me so I got a series X to replace it as I wanted to keep using and playing the games I had bought for the XB1. I was also kind of curious to try the Hypermotion stuff they added into Fifa given that wasn't given t othe PC version so I got the series X and Fifa 22 for it. Als ogiven you can play any Xbox game on the series X thanks t othe backwards compatibility the yequipped it with it might come in handy if I do pick up an old Xbox game or 2 say at a boot fair or something. I haven' truled out getting prpoer next gen sreies X games for i teither in time but at the end of the day I got the X so I could continue to use what I had.
My 1st console was the original PS. Loved it so much that I stayed with them and upgraded to PS2. Somewhere in there I picked up a used xbox because my 1st Lan party with Halo just blew me away. Then 3rd gen consoles came and both the price of games and consoles went above what I was willing to spend at that time so I turned to Nintendo and was happy to play their handheld systems. Getting the Xbox series X was an easy decision for me. I have Nintendo Switch for my exclusives, strategy, and rpg needs while the Xbox satisfied my craving for FPS and games that required higher processing and graphical power.

The PS5 does have a couple of exclusives on my wishlist, and I've been a PS guy pretty much my whole life, as I own every PS console but this one. I will also get the Series S as well, mainly because of Play Anywhere titles that I got on Windows, it's compact size for easy portability and most importantly; Halo Infinite
Throughout my gaming history I've never settled for one or the other when it came to these 2. PS2 was my first Playstation I owned back in early 2000s, ran with that for a few years and have found memories with it, switched over to Xbox 360 in 2007, had a blast with that console played awesome games on it and enjoyed it just as much as I did the PS2. 2015 I switched back to Playstation (4), had a good time with those games. Bought the Xbox One in 2019 so I could play the Gears 4 & 5 (Gears is my favorite game series ever). And thats where I currently sit. I know at some point in time I'll eventually own both PS5 and Xbox Series X, but that'll be awhile, can't go blowing money on gaming like some people can, got a family and bills to worry about, but I think I'm going with Xbox Series X first, that way I'll have it when Gears 6 eventually comes out lol.

Same, though I had a negative experience with Microsoft when I got a brand new defective Xbox 360, I shipped to Microsoft for warranty work, had to pay the shipping, took over 3 months and when it got returned they simply said could not do anything because it was open by somebody, never did that. Since then haven't returned to Microsoft. Plus ps has some exclusives Xbox does not have that I am interested on.

Series s for me , bearly was able to get my hands on it , I was going to get the ps5 de but after seeing the scalpers I gave up and got the series s , gamepass can make up for the specks in my opinion

Do you know what i can't figure out? How is it that Microsoft did not include a next-generation controller this time around that is much due. When did they know what sony was going to do with their next-gen controller? Like Xbox is just as expensive, but even then, why would they get stingy with the controller capabilities & offers? I've always liked both, I have random moments where ill just play PS or Xbox. I gotta say though I'm sticking with the XSX. Gamepass and Quick resume are the main reasons. Such a smooth system
For my personal budget I grabbed an Xbox series x primarily because of game pass which has been an amazing experience . Hopefully after tax season I’ll be able to find a ps5 . The Sony exclusives are the one thing that I’m missing on my Xbox but having both of them along with the switch would be a harmony of mathematical precision lol I think all consoles are wonderful in their perspective but together it’s gamers paradise .
Honestly i pay for game pass but have not found any good games on it any you would recommend as ive found game pass lackluster with its selection

I think both of these consoles will go down as great consoles. The PS5 is the better option at launch mainly because of the exclusives actually being present (the duel sense is fantastic too). But I think by the end of the generation, the Series X will be considered the better console because of its superior power, smaller size and the games it will have (although those games will be playable on PC). Just my thoughts, I’m looking to start a discussion. Great review

If the Dualsense weren't a thing, this would be much more closer competition-wise, but the Dualsense is just so revolutionary not just in the console area but gaming overall that it is definitely worth it. It honestly changes the way you experience games.

I don't see them creating a slim version since the power required to run games at 60/120 creates a lot of heat and you need the space to have robust fans and other cooling mechanisms. Most of the size of the current PS5 is attributed to the heat sink and fans.
I would be looking forward to the Pro version if anything.

Or just if you are a real gamer that loves games, just get a ps4 for cheap or eventually get a ps5. Their games are so good, I'm not being dramatic. I was also only PlayStation but got a Gamecube/Wii and Xbox and Metroid prime trilogy and Forza horizon 3/4 are among my favourites of all time. Don't limit yourself imo.

Also the outrageous amounts of free ps plus games (that you get to keep forever) and the ps plus collection that basically gives you the best PS4 games all in one package.
and don't even get me started with Nintendo games...
just remember one thing, quality games over hardware and quantity any day of the week.
I have a pc with and rtx 3060 that can basically play any game above 60fps on ultra settings and I personally get bored to death with gamepass. It’s a lot of games but also a lot of meh games or games that I already played.

also you keep talking about how much games you have, but again, always remember that quality is always over quantity.
bethesda has some great games like doom, skyrim, fallout but lets be real, they're not the best when it comes to consistency, and this is proven by their history.
