Final phase of a drainage work

- In this video, Irre and I finish a drainage job.
We leave a surplus of material to use when the ground has settled.
This is done in the spring together with a layer of top soil

I’ve never seen an operator this good before. 34 years of hiring excavators. Either this machine is unbelievably the easiest to use, or you’re just that good.
Damn, I’m about to buy my first excavator. It’s almost exactly the same as this one, I was hoping I would be this good eventually. After reading these comments it sounds like me trying to play basketball as good as Lebron James within a year of playing. One can always dream, right?

done with the job and then comes the bad part, cleaning out the tracks before transport. I drive a ecr145 and I hate that part of the job or in the wintertime.

Your equipment operation skills are superb. I think the job would have benefited by wrapping the drain rock in geotextile fabric. Thanks for the video. I live in Oregon and am half Swedish.
It’s funny, in America we like to wrap gravel in fabric like a burrito but across the ocean it seems like nobody does that? I’d love to see the data on it.

@@HedblomSwe Was just about to say the same thing. No rocks is nice, but soil that is mostly clay, especially in damp or wet conditions, is almost worse. :)
Is water going to make it thru all that clay? I usually mix a bit of sand with Liam for my backfill over French drains

That is actually a teddy bear if I remember correctly. :) Check some of the first videos Hedblom posted and I think it's more visible.
Is that perforated corrugated pipe and is it connected to other drainage piping at the beginning of the pipe?
Yes, it's drain pipes.
It is connected to a previous drainage solution that did not work 100%.
The soil does not let water through efficiently enough so we install a overflow drain.
