What do YOU think those strange dirt mounds at the end of the road were - Mining Prospect Pits? Old UFO Crash? Construction that started but never finished or perhaps someplace where the Las Vegas mob used to take "snitches"? Personally, I suspect this may have been an aircraft crash that was cleaned up, no other explanation. Comment below with your ideas!
Very interesting landscape. I remember heading out there in my younger days. There's supposedly a ghost town out nearby there unfortunately I think they expanded the military boundaries in that it got enveloped. If you invest in of those Delorme grid maps of Southern NV they give away lots of nooks and crannies hidden in that part of the desert including a shallow hidden meteor crater not too far from your areas of exploration. Safe travels and thanks for sharing.
I love watching your videos. You are always in some beautiful place. My dream is to hike and camp in the desert. I’d love to go to Arizona or Utah some day before I’m too old to get around. Keep hiking for those of us stuck in the mid west lol
Love the videos...any chance that big rock pile was hiding a mine entrance. Also...those big rocks looked really outta place for the surroundings. Keep Safe.
I just subscribed and gave a like . I enjoy much of the same but I bring my quad just incase and I can putt along way in the distance. Glad to have found this channel… GL AND HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU..
Well, this little trek demonstrated that the desert can often be so mysterious, no matter what things looks like in Google Earth. Unlike most of your adventures, in this hike you came across no human artifacts, trash, fire pits, or even footprints, just some old tire tracks and small mounds of dirt. I have no idea what those mounds were about. And being closer to A-51 than usual, I was actually wondering whether you might encounter that vibration phenomena that Kenny mentioned. This reminded me a lot of the desert hikes I used to do years ago up in Mineral County north of Tonopah (very similar terrain). When the wind is still, the silence out in these vast, open areas can be just deafening. Your eyes can see for miles all around, but your ears hear absolutely nothing. It's a rather intense but calming feeling, one that city-dwellers never experience. And though the wild beauty of the desert is enchanting, there is always that possibility of a surprise (good or bad), looming right over the next hill. Enjoyed the trip - glad it was uneventful. Thank you, Steve!
I was thinking about the vibrations. This area was closer to the military zone that I had ever been and was probably right on the line. If the strange vibrations were military related, this would have been the place to feel them but I didn't, this time...
@@SBVegasAdventures I wonder if the vibrations that made Kenney feel uncomfortable might not have been a result of the wind blowing through a canyon or cave/tunnel. There is a name for these vibrations, but I cannot think of it right now. They can make you feel uneasy, sick to your stomach, give you headaches and more.
There's so many conspiracy theories about Kenny Veach ... even one they saw him on cam and recorded his voice. I wonder if we ever really will find Kenny. That's an interesting place though. ❤❤❤
I wouldn't be surprised if those large boulders to the right of where you parked had some petroglyphs on them. That was the first thing I thought when I saw them. They certainly stand out from the rest of the landscape. One of the thought processes I've always had while out adventuring is that if it looks interesting to you, it looked interesting to them and that's led me to some INCREDIBLE rock art panels. It's possible there's nothing on them, but it may warrant another visit if you're in the neighborhood to see if there's any rock art on them. Also, without seeing it for myself, it's possible that may have been an area with some agave roasting pits. I don't know if there was any evidence of charcoal anywhere around there, but that spot may very well hold some interesting cultural significance.
I'm pretty sure Kenny left his phone and keys near that mineshaft to indicate that he went in there. Someone left a comment that the shaft had collapsed in recent years since they last been in it. I know I would think to leave a 'marker' above ground if I went in a mine alone. "Stay Out and Stay Alive"
@SBVegasAdventures can you camp out there for a week or two at a time? I have some time off in a few weeks and this area in general looks like a great place to explore.
Looks like an actual end of the road. I wonder what it is about austere places that draws me to them. Places on the Texas Coast where little was made of them have long drawn me to them: no people or few, no public buildings or industrial signs of ambition, just desolate shores and beaten shrubs.
It's beautiful out there but there's nothing there Hu? I thought you might find something but we got to see how beautiful and untouched this part of the desert is.
Talk about thecriad to nowhere 😊, one thing with nevada desert its a strange remote place! Those mounds probably someones grave but it does look like something heavy has gone down there! Question is they made that road for something could it be for miltary training purposes SB?
Pure speculation on my part, but I have been to a couple of places that classified aircraft went down, and they look like this. But I have always been able to find a few pieces of metal or wire or something to show that it was a Crash site. It’s definitely in the right area to find something like that.
I would say those mounds of dirt could have been the result of human activity. You're not far from Area 51 so there may have been something taking place at the time. One thing I will say is concerning is how quiet that area is you're exploring. Nothing around for miles!
The larger pieces of rock might be glacial till. The first inhabitants of North America might have come here 14,000 years ago from the north and south, but their oral histories do not mention glaciers -- as far as I know.

There is a mock up of a complete town on the other side of those mountains that the military uses for training but it’s off limits to civilians
ANOTHER OUTSTANDING PRESENTATION! THANK YOU, SIR!
Thanks for the hike! Love the desert,.....now go back and find some PARTY BALLOONS....heh J/K. Thanks Steve!
Another great video, glad I didn't miss it
Interesting. Safer daytime than night time.
Another great exploration
Thank you for your work 😁
Love these hikes looking forward to the next one so much out there😊
Well you won't have to wait long, I'd heading out tomorrow to film the next one.
Thanks Steve
There is a lot of fascinating geology out there that I can see from your videos!
Thanks Steve, great to wake up to watching you with another great adventure. What the weather like there now! Love from the Gold Coast. Australia.
Good good good...good vibrations...
Always a badass video
Very interesting. Love your channel. ❤

It's in the middle of nowhere. Heavy equipment was brought out there to dig for some reason. No clue why.
I used to live in Panaca for several years, and would go out exploring in my 4X4 all around Lincoln County.
Did you find anything?
Ugh I needed to see over that ridge, my OCD would get me in lots of trouble out there

Thank you for your support!
Thanks for making this video, Steve, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks Steve. I even enjoy the dull ones.
That’s what makes the videos fun, sometime they’re dull but there is always a chance to find something amazing
Not even a party balloon!

The rodents are doing mining activity 😂 that was funny

Hope your tires were okay with that bumpy road
They have been thru far worse
Could be as simple as gathering stone for a house project or the like.
The rock at 10:52 looks like a petrified tree stump, but I don't think they had chain saws that long ago.
Looks like you're on the White Rock Rd, East of Alamo Rd. If you turn West, you'll cross into White Sage Flats, on the N2 secured area.
Nope, White Rock Rd was the other direction.
That first spot reminds me of a plane crash site sterilization where EVERYTHING is cleaned up.
I didn't even think about that, very possible!!

@@gibsonrocker17 I agree they did look unusual

Hello
Maybe a spot people camp
Usually mounds like that could be some sort of burial sight it just looks like it's never been walked through
a road out in the desert that leads to nothing but a few mounds, kinda like where vegas mob brings casino cheaters to lol.
Could very well be bodies buried in those mounds, perhaps I should have checked them closer.

Heavy equipment was clearly brought in to do dome digging but I have no idea why. There is nothing out there!
Wonder how gold detecting would be out there?
It's very possible those holes were material scooped up for prospecting and taken elsewhere for processing.
I meant to write "glacial till," not tarn.
