Gary’s got make the right choice for himself based on the type of riding he wants to do… based on what has been on video though, I’d say he rides in the V-strom’s sweet spot, adventure touring, with light off road…. The 2025 DL650 looks very interesting.
Hey Amanda, The time you get to spend with your brother (Hey Gary) is priceless and the trips you share with us are fantastic. Prayers Flying for safe travels
Your brother needs anything that makes his heart jump of joy, makes his eyes sparkle and feeds his soul. So good luck with finding something that fits you. Your current Strom needs some TLC. But might deserve some rest as well after making so many memories❤
I always love to these type of contents that shows American country side and the remote towns especially the ones shown at 17:38 it feels like it is from the the RDR2 game
as always i loved the video especailly the sound design, the slide show sounds were particularly a nice touch! i love that youre using that cooling vest, i have the same one and it can be a life saver here in texas!
Great video! So much appreciate your understanding of family, scenery, circumstance, and narration. Interested to learn your brother's decision. Get the one that brings contentment.
Ohhhhh boy, it sounds like it may really happen- Gary getting a new bike. I’m excited for him. I don’t have any recommendations because I’m certain he has a better idea of what suits him than I do. Does the cooling vest work well under your jacket? I have a lot of respect for you riding in virtually all weather conditions.

We are supposed to get a BDR in Montana in '26. You almost made it to my home of Townsend. The ride along the Smith River from White Sulphur to Cascade is a good ride. Stay safe.
Nice! Looking forward to RMR10 already! Time flies! Brother should get the bike he can grown on the most but adventure on today. Only he can know which that is. I like big bikes and I cannot lie… But the prior advice stands.
I have ridden Honda's for over 40 years. I have never had one not get me home. Flat tires and dead batteries the only thing that has gone wrong. I'm sure there are others with the same story for Suzuki. But I'm a Honda boy.
great vedio, Gary , Vstrom 800. I roll a '22 KLR abs and a 24 Yamaha Tenere 700 and I love them both and would take them anywhere but, Gary looks like a Suki Man.
For reliability and economy i would go for the v-strom 650. For more power i would consider the 750 transalp. From there its just the question how much your brother is willing to spend for power and gadgets. There are lots of fantastic options out there. Africa twin or ktm 890 are great bikes when it comes to performance
Great video! Is Brother buying new or used? I think a KLR650 would be my first choice if you’re planning a lot of dirt riding, or a RE Himalayan as my second choice. Any bike can do it if it’s in good condition.
So much good stuff in the vid but that's normal. Yes, Gary should get a new bike. It would be a shame for something to happen while the two of you are on your AK that would change the trip for the negative. I'm a Honda fan because of the dependability so I think Gary should get either a Transalp or an Africa Twin. Here's a question for you: When you put your cooling vest on when it's 90+ out do people give you the look like you are a strange person since they have no idea it is? I usually don't put mine on until it gets to the upper 80s and I get those looks. OK, time for me to go register for RMR and OnX and stop procrastinating with both of them. Keep the good stuff coming.
He’s a hard core Suzuki fan from all I can tell. Amanda had him testing the 800 and 1050 recently on the Suzuki line and I think Gary liked the 800 best. I am a fan of all motorcycles. He just needs to make sure he gets one before this one gives up completely on him. :)
Thank you for watching it! 🤔 I'll have to ask brother if he's even considered something that's not a Suzuki lol although he did have that moment where he told me liked the PanAm 🤔🤔
I love the music and the style of this video, very laid-back and relaxing, it made me feel calm and content.
That's exactly the feeling I was going for! ☺️🙏

🥹 that might be the highest compliment I've ever received
Excellent video Amanda! I enjoy that you put the emphasis on the trip and your interaction with your brother , instead of the bike.
Beautiful Montana ride! Nice video.
Don’t even care what the video is, I like it already. 😂
😉❤️
I love the relationship you have with your brother.
😊 me too

Hello Miss Zito. Yellowstone trail from emigrant to Bozeman is a good one. Until the next one. Merry Christmas
Nice, relaxing ride. Love it! ~Grizz
Thanks so much for watching friend ☺️
another great trip and stories well documented by yourself and your brother. Thank you Amanda!
Smashing that like button 1 minute before start time!
Thanks Magpie, you really know how to make my day.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Great video! So much appreciate your understanding of family, scenery, circumstance, and narration.

I'll be sure to let you know what he decides! 😉

If we're looking for a adventure bike #1 V85TT #2 DR650 #3 TENERE 700. Amanda, enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

I love happy people !
😁
👍👍 I so need to get back to that area of the US to ride more.
Heck yes!
Very nice! I love it!
Thanks 😊

👍👍👍👍👍 GREAT!!!!! Thanks Amanda!!!!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved Custer State Park. I was there in 1996 .
I think one of those new Vstroms is in Gary’s future. 😁
😉
That’s my favorite riding area!
But where were you at 27:29?
I don’t recognize that area?😊

Go to Alaska. But make sure that “iron horse” is fresh and ready.
I love my KLR but might jump to a Triumph Tiger for that trip 🧐
End Screen Question: Suzuki DE800 off road version. To stick with the Vstrom theme
Great video! Is Brother buying new or used? I think a KLR650 would be my first choice if you’re planning a lot of dirt riding, or a RE Himalayan as my second choice. Any bike can do it if it’s in good condition.
That vstrom 800 sure looked nice at ADV fest Gary. But you might want to get the 1000 if you're going to do much highway going to Alaska.
Excited to see what you chose
😉
Brother needs the 1050DE. I'm 6' 2" and it fits me better than the 800DE. Rode them both then bought a 2020 1050 XT Adventure.
Brother should get the 2024 Suzuki V-Strom 800 -- he test rode both V-Stroms at ADV Fest
So much good stuff in the vid but that's normal.

Boy that Honda of your's looks like it handles well on the gravel. I'm an old Harley guy but I'm pretty sure I'm making the switch on my next bike.
It definitely does! Makes exploring the back roads so much easier. 😎
I think Brother is a fan of the Vstrom so I guess maybe get a new/newer one.
You need to talk him into an African twin DCT With the leather saddlebags instead of the steel saddlebags
He’s a hard core Suzuki fan from all I can tell. Amanda had him testing the 800 and 1050 recently on the Suzuki line and I think Gary liked the 800 best. I am a fan of all motorcycles. He just needs to make sure he gets one before this one gives up completely on him. :)
I wish I could get him on a Twin too! Then we would only have to worry about one kind of spare parts 🤣
Vstrom 800DE Adventure
😉
Great video thank you. Check out kawasaki Z650 .
Thank you for watching it!

Hit like and subscribe to support the Magpie !!

I think he should look into a Yamaha Tenere.
He should try your African Twin, who knows that just may make the decision for him.
My guess is another Suzuki, probably the 800.
😉
@Gary try new vstorm 800 DE.
👋 Hey! ☺️ We did test ride the new Suzukis in the last video 👌🙂
Definitely brother need a new bike, Suzuki V Strom 800 maybe?
Brother get the 800 suzy crackin bike///
Brother needs a Transalp
Just in time,europe timing.
Beatifull scenery , very jealous.
I ride an old shovelhead, for Gary i would go for a BMW gs
Transalp.
Umm...about how tall are you? You're riding an Affy Twin, that's a huge bike!
I have a whole review of the Twin and includes my height 👍
Oh bro....get something new
😂
