I've learned a long time ago, no matter what you do, how well you do it, or how often you do it, for some people you will always be doing it wrong. Be yourself. Trust yourself. No one else knows how to do it better. I follow my own path. There is no one else like me, so quit telling me how it should be done. Personally, I am fine with how you are conducting your videos. If I wasn't fine with your production of your video's, I could stop watching them. It's a free country. I've also learned a long time ago to quit trying to please everyone. It's not possible to do. Follow your own path. Be true to yourself, and many others will follow you. If they choose not to follow you, then don't, their choice. It's true in what you say, not being able to go hiking in the desert or anywhere else . When younger, I ran, rode bike, walked, and explored old buildings (Ghost Hunting). Now, at 68, I have a partially paralyzed left leg due to Diabetes. Lucky for me, I can still get around, but unfortunately, I have to use a walker. So, I'm one of your viewers and fans of your videos, who's a little less mobile. Don't change anything. Follow your own path, and you will be fine 🙂 👍

Ok. I'm watching this video for 2nd time. This time, something you said produced an image in my mind. Phrase was "Finding a woman 👩 that is into hiking, prepared physically as I am and lives her life for Hiling!" Then, an image popped into my mind. Then after the image of the woman, an over whelming fear swept over me ... 😨 Oh My, she could BEAT my Butt with one finger! Lol 😅

I'm glad you clarified that Tarantula Hawks are not a threat to mankind. So, if you do not bother them, they will not bother you (or attack you). I was thinking that they were like Killer Bees. Attack you out of the blue for any reason under the sun. Can you imagine if massive swarms of Killer Tarantula Hawks were flying around the desert looking for human as well as tarantulas to sting to death? Yikes. If that were the case, hiking in the desert would be the very last thing to do on my list! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

One more comment. I don't know why this had not occurred to me before, but Steve is dressed like many of our survival training Instructors. They wore basically the same survival clothing and backpacks that Steve wears for hiking. I do remember a young airman telling one of the survivalist that his backpack was probably empty. Each of our backpacks weighed 60 lbs full of gear. It's not fun hauling all that weight. About 40 minutes later, the survivalist traded backpanks with the young aviator. After 25 minutes, he was apologizing to the survivalist that his backpack must have weighed over 200 pounds. A week later, after training was over and we were all at a steakhouse, the survivalist instructor confessed to a secret. After the airmen mouthed off to him, he left the hiking trail and filled his empty backpack with 200 lbs or more of stones. No one was any the wiser to what had happened. If the instructor had not confessed to what he had done, we would never have known the truth. We all laughed! 😁 😂 😀 🤣 😁

When I was on a B-52H Bomber aircrew back in the fall of 1982, there was a group of flyers (F-15, FB-111, KC-135, B-52G and B-52H) that were attending Land Survival Training. There were at least 30 + survivalist training instructors that were teaching us how to survive if shot down in war time conditions. They were all around us, yet rarely seen. All were armed with M16 rifes and various handguns. Not only were they responsible for our training, but also were our protectors ... from predators (Bears, Wolves, Mountain Lyons). By taking all aircrew personnel through the survival training, the instructors were also tasked with protecting us. Losing aircrew members would be extremely expensive due to all the training that had been accomplished up to that point. We were trained on how to build a tent and build it to be very stealthy, almost invisible to the enemy. Then they released us to build such a tent. Once done, we all reassembled, and the instructors stated Ok, let's see how well you listene to our instructions"!" It was almost dark when the instructors returned. We went back up the hill. Out of 40 tents, only one still stood (that individual had been through this training a few years earlier). The remaining tents looked as if a tornado 🌪 tore them down. I found my flattened tent, gatered what I could, found a massive hollow log, and crawled into it. Never slept in a hollow log in early April on a mountain top before. I slept like a baby. I wasn't afraid of bears since the survivalist had M16 rifles with night vision goggles. Our location was Washington State on Mount Rainier. We were trained in both Land Survival Procedures as well as POW training procedures. Seeing Steve and listening about how he could turn that old log into a sleeping shelter brought back many memories of a life long ago. Thank you! 😀 😃 😊 😀 😄 😁

Was wondering what the protocol is if you find human bones? You have definitely found human bones, including a human skull. Possible answers: 1. Look around the area. If no one is seen, start whistling and walk away at a fast pace! 2. Again, no one is anywhere near you. Pull out your portable shovel and bury the evidence. 3. Take close-up camera shots, hold the skull up, and take a selfie with it. Post the photos of you and the bones on all media channels all over the world! 4. Call the authorities and guide them to the location. The hike ended at the time you found the bones! 5. You wake up screaming in bed and realize you had a nightmare! Here's your chance to win it all if you choose the correct answer. You can win an official 2 dollar Jefferson bill in mint condition. 😊😊😊😊😊

If you could would you check out a video titled “ Frenchmen Mountain- Gypsum Cave “ by a TH-camr called kingofcondoslv . The entrance of the cave they go into looks spot on like the m cave, and I can’t find any other photos or videos like it. I don’t think it’s gypsum cave, I think it’s the m cave and it’s just near gypsum cave. Sorry if I look like a fool, I don’t live in the area but when I saw the video I felt like I had to take a chance and share this info. I also get this isn’t in the area that Kenny described, but there is a theory that he lied about the caves location from the start.

I wasn't aware that there were black widow spiders in the desert. I reside in Northern Indiana, and I do see them rarely. Creepy spiders 🕷. And of course, we have ticks here. Seems there are numerous negative insects out in the desert. The Wasp you mention sounds like they are very aggressive and bad news if you tangle with them. Here, they are a nuisance, but RAID Hornet and Wasp spray will instantly kill them. Seems the desert can be a dangerous place from all the insects, animals, and sheer mountain dangers (loose rocks, sheer drop off, heat, etc). You did hit the nail on the head when you said it is far easier sitting back, in the comfort of my home, and watching the video. Have a ice cold soda, eat some snacks, and pause the video if I need a nap. Unfortunately, putting yourself out there on video will often draw rude and negative comments. It's totally uncalled for. I also follow the Paranormal Nightmare team (Rocky, Josh, and Shaun Fourman brothers), and they often mention rude people. Also, the same complaints from Travel the Dead staff (Katrina Weidman and Heather Taddy). Most, if not all, camcordering adventures for media publications will draw negative comments. But, for every negative person you encounter, there are 100 + that respect what you are doing. From this viewer, thank you for the adventures. Keep up the great journeys! I do enjoy the journeys! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
