When I tell you, I'm sobbing listening to this song, it's not because I'm grieving, but because I can let go of a part of my grief.
I actually have low to mild PTSD myself, and I totally understand what you mean, and when I listen to this, it's as a coping mechanism to help let go of all of the people in my life that have caused so much heartache and trauma. We listen to pandora sometimes and every now and then we’ll hear a song we like and spend 30+ minutes talking about the bands. What’s kinda cooler is my stepdad played in a couple cover bands to warm up the crowd for the big bands. In the 90s he finished playing with a band called The Bomb and he’d tell stories of them playing limp bizkit and Metallica songs.
