Nostalgia hits hard when the local radio station plays this in the late afternoon and you're reminded of the great years of the early 2000s while simultaneously slowly dying inside from a 9-5 job.
You know what you are inside king. That 9-5 is only going to make you more sick and tired. Live your life how you want.
Hahaha hilarious! Fuel, Staind, Breaking B, Seether, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Nickleback etc was my go to music during that same decade in my shitty ass job too 😆 peace brotha, we’re still alive 🥳

This is one of those songs that when you close your eyes, for almost 4minutes you’re not in 2023 anymore. You’re in high school. You’re driving around at night with friends, 5bucks in gas, no destination and endless laughs. You have no worries. And then the song ends. And that part of you goes back to sleep.
I used to love to drive around with no destination, listening to music, that was long before gas became $5 a gallon!

No one has real RAW voices anymore in music today. I miss that. I miss this emotion playing out through a song with zero auto tune. Hits you where it’s meant to and it never gets old.
I hate autotuning, 90's didn't have the best singers but those singer had confidence, they knew if you were listening, you wanted to hear them. They didn't smooth out the roughness, or flat notes.

This song brings back memories, and this video hit me pretty hard. I was pregnant with our son and at 30 weeks gestation I suffered a placental abruption. We were bleeding out and had to have an emergency csection. I'll never forget being run to the OR, the look on my parents faces, giving my husband a last kiss. @@jthizzle4013 Cobain is a legend but to be honest, compared to smells like teen spirit, hemorrhage for me is a more challenging song because it has many and quick note transitions which compels the singer to use their raspy style of voice and if you're not careful with it, you might sing it wrong and out of tune. The 90s was an all around great era for music not only rock. This is our era, and it was phenomenal. Of course there were other great eras but this is the one we identify with and enjoy. :)
dks9564 You're talking about the rock music golden age, '60s, '70s and '80s when the genre was really flamboyant, it was all about guitar playing skills and other instrument skills, etc. But the '90s itself was an incredible era that doesn't really get enough credit today. The '90s was when rock reached a very emotional, melancholic state that even the baby boomer rock of the '60s-'80s couldn't quite reach yet. That's what makes '90s rock unique even though it lacks the instrument skills of the previous eras. The '90s is personal to us that spent either our teenage years, or in my case my childhood in it, because for our generation, it was innocent times for us despite the dark nature of a lot of that music. It's a precious era because its the last time rock would ever again have a powerful presence in society. Those days are gone now. I wish we could have it again. Long live rock n' roll, no matter what era of it you're from!
millienl 90s was good my favourite cd was downward spiral

Todays music is like listening to a computer program. The 90s and early 2000’s was written with the soul. Instruments and meaningful lyrics.
I don’t get it.. she died of a stomachache???
@@DivineOassis no, she had a hemorrhage, like the song title.
There is still a lot of good music out there. You just gotta find it. Not on the radio though
You not wrong at all
Millennials sounding just like boomers makes me feel old af.
One of those immortal songs.
I remember playing high school football, Friday night house parties, drinking games, chasing girls and playing songs like this on my burned CD's I made from Napster at my friends house. Damn those were good times and 20 years ago. Unreal how fast it goes by. Play it loud people.
Muddy Mudskipper kazaam lol we would be a group in a room with one guy on the computer playing straight up jams.
❤
Omg Napster - I forgot all about that one 💕
Very true
Right there with you man. From playing the sport I loved every Fri night during season to bonfire parties to parties at the lake. I would give anything to go back to those days when it was so much easier
One of the best songs ever written.
Yuuuuuup
Great song. One of those where you automatically turned up the volume on your car's stereo.
Songwriter Carl Bell on the meaning behind this song: "When I was younger, my grandmother got cancer. By the time they found it, it was much too late. Instead of sitting in some hospital, she wanted to go home and be home. And my mother and my aunts and their husbands went to sit with her at home. A few months passed, and the cancer had spread, it had eaten up most of her body and all of her hope, and it was a bad time. One particular day was a really bad day for her. My mother was sitting with her that evening, and she turned to my mom, and said, ‘How do you die?’ It crushed my mom, and it’s still crushing me."
I'm sorry to hear that bro I understand my grandma died in 2018 bc of cancer they got rid of it it was hell for her and after months in the hospital she died it's crazy bc it's hard to believe there gone
That's heavy. I'm sure she would want you to let it go, and to live the best life you could.

Man this was such a good time for rock. I miss this era so much.
Guitar solos were truly something special.
I remember when this song came out being 62 and all. A damn good tune that I had to learn how to play. I put it up with many from the 70's till now ! No there's not many even decent ones since the early teens. Where did feeling go.
