Yeah. Of course not all high end chefs (or any chef) are knobs in the kitchen but I'd LOVE to be trained by Kush. He's incredibly paitient, informative and gives the impression of actaully liking the role of teacher chef on Sorted.

Kush & Barry is a whole different dynamic than Kush & James and I have no idea how he manages to be on both ends of that talent spectrum at the same time.
Kush is an amazing edition to the team. No recipe, no time to plan. He has to work purely off instinct, but still takes the time to guide and teach Barry along the way.

I love Kush. He has great personality, energy, and creativity. When he levels something up, he really levels it up. He comes up with such awesome things. He thinks outside the box. The things he comes up with, blows my mind. So glad to see him playing a more active role in front of the camera. I mean, I love Ben and James as well ( I would bring Ben home with me if it wasn't considered kidnapping) but Kush is an awesome addition.
I would also like to bring Ben home with me, in a completely non-kidnappy way. 100% agree with everything you said about Kush too. He became a fast favourite of mine as soon as I saw him in the show that Sorted filmed with their live audience, however long ago, and he’s only made me love him even more ever since.
Watching Kush work I'm beginning to wonder if he actually knows how to cook, or if there's a ghost of a Michelin Starred chef living in his head and it just whispers instructions to him. Because he never seems to have any clue where he's going or what he's doing, but it turns out incredible anyway.
I love watching Kush in front of the camera. He is a delight and so knowledgeable that I never leave without having learned something. I also like how kind and friendly he is to everyone. YAY, KUSH!!!!!
Just to clarify, in Canada, KFC restaurants in mostly EN provinces are still called KFC. In FR provinces (like Quebec), you are correct, it's PFK, which is the translation of KFC (PFK). Poulet frit = Fried chicken; and in FR the F stands for fried, not frites (fries/chips) :)

It's called PFK because we have a language law that forces businesses to either have a French name or a French descriptor of what kind of store they are. This is because until the 70's a lot of stores here were owned by anglophones, hired English-speaking staff and served customers only in English. Whenever I tell people from France that we made these laws because French used to be a second-class language here, they're surprised at the notion, because they're used to French being perceived as a prestige language more often than not.
I LOVE how Kush is always taking on the "Mentor/teacher" role. He's always willing to teach, and show how to do. If all kitchens had a Kush, I think the culinary industry would be so much better.

Kush is a chefy genius and I love it! Brings me so much joy to watch his seemingly insane ideas come together into something magical. The cherry on top is watching him just somehow remain calm with an absolutely ridiculous time constraint. 10/10. Need more Kush!
Kush is like the Hulk of the Sorted Team, but instead of being always angry, he is in a constant state of chaos, so you cannot push him out of his comfort zone with puny things like time limits and challenging tasks.
I absolutely love watching Kush. He’s so knowledgeable and such a good teacher. Honestly though, I don’t really see the benefit of time limits on everything. The challenge is already challenging, I don’t think the time pressure really adds. Something like a competition or relay, absolutely, but it doesn’t seem necessary on these types of vids. Could just be me though. 😅

Kush is (for me) the ONLY person who is a whole team in himself. Fun, chaotic, insightful, serious, innuendos and straight up top-tier quality. He is a one man band and such a powerhouse. I'm really, really happy and thankful that he accepted to try a go in front of the camera a few times and found this amazing balance with it. He has elevated the entire channel. And the more he is in front of the camera, the more we get to see his influence and references over the years on the rest of the team. This series is just Kush secretly teaching Barry how to actually cook. I hope at the end of the year Barry has to do a big, Fancy from Fast Food, meal by himself. That way, we can see how much information he's actually retained and if he gets to keep the apron.
Kush really shines when he's mentoring someone. Also I love the contrast between how chaotic he is while cooking and how calm he is while mentoring Barry. 😂
It's always a joy and delight to watch Kush in action - the way he thinks is amazing. I did not see the tossing of fries into the spinach, combining those two things would never have occurred to me which is why he's the chef and I'm a lowly normal. 😉Perhaps as others have suggested Taco Bell? It would be super interesting to see how Kush approaches making anything from their menu gourmet.
the pasta move was absolutely brilliant. i thought he was going to make a sauce for the pasta when he threw the gravy and the skin into the blender. when he started pouring it into the food processor with the flour it clicked and my mind was blown.
I use KFC bones to make chicken stock for soup. I make sure there are some crumbs left on the bones. It gives the stock an extra depth of flavour. That looked so yummy well done Kush & Bazza
I collect bones from all manners of fried poultry that made way into the house in the freezer and do the same! I don't eat KFC but things like Korean fried chicken, rotisserie chicken or Peking duck add that special something to the stock.
Kush needs to go up against Josh from Mythical Kitchen in some kinda Chef it Up challenge. They're both good at this, and both chaos gremlins. Would be amazing.

It's good having a Monday vid, but I still get a rush of disappointment on a Friday when I realise there's no longer one there. It was a ritual for me, make a tea or coffee, snack, finish off any work for the week & sit down & watch Sorted - it meant the weekend had started.
As soon as Kush said pasta I thought he was going to make some kind of gnocchi with fries and chicken skin, but he clearly forgot about the fries completely and just chucked them into the sauce at the end.

Yep, PFK in Quebec :) Also Barry translated it "word for word" to "chicken chips Kentucky", probably thinking "frit" was the same as "frite" (fries or chips), but it actually simply means "fried", so it stills translates to "Kentucky fried chicken" :)
Kush brings such a great 'acting like we're fine while the house burns down' energy to the channel. Also, here in Canada, we'll either have a bilingual split or still call it KFC in the English-dominant parts of the country!
I would like to see a chef versus chef battle (Ben against Kush) in creating a fast food meal into something "gourmet". I feel that Ben would be more challenged, but I would gladly be proved wrong.

When he can explain what he is doing and thinking, whilst actually doing it, shows how talented he is. Thats why I would love to see one of those "chef versus chef" battles, to see the totally different approchaes Ben and Kush have.
I'm from the southern US and I also like pasta, so this really intrigues me. Also, the quality isn't as good as some small mom and pop restaurants that focus more on quality rather than cost-cutting and speed. But when you live in a rural area where very few fried chicken options are available, then KFC is definitely better than nothing. Hardee's used to have some fantastic fried chicken, but they stopped selling it 😢.

As soon as Kush said pasta I thought he was going to make some kind of gnocchi with fries and chicken skin, but he clearly forgot about the fries completely and just chucked them into the sauce at the end.

Hey - Canadian here, PFC is the Francais version of KFC - we DO have it here and it is just as greasy and delicious as you would expect :D

Yep, PFK in Quebec :) Also Barry translated it "word for word" to "chicken chips Kentucky", probably thinking "frit" was the same as "frite" (fries or chips), but it actually simply means "fried", so it stills translates to "Kentucky fried chicken" :)

I would like to see a chef versus chef battle (Ben against Kush) in creating a fast food meal into something "gourmet". I feel that Ben would be more challenged, but I would gladly be proved wrong.
I think Ben would approach it from a different angle he pulls off some great saves in Pass It On.
@@wwaxwork I totally agree, Ben has very very often saved the Pass It On and I am again and again amazed on what a great chef he is. When he can explain what he is doing and thinking, whilst actually doing it, shows how talented he is. Thats why I would love to see one of those "chef versus chef" battles, to see the totally different approchaes Ben and Kush have.
I'm from the southern US and I also like pasta, so this really intrigues me. Also, the quality isn't as good as some small mom and pop restaurants that focus more on quality rather than cost-cutting and speed. But when you live in a rural area where very few fried chicken options are available, then KFC is definitely better than nothing.
Hardee's used to have some fantastic fried chicken, but they stopped selling it 😢.
