The second you realize that you don't need a five-star salary to live "good", you can start doing FUN things... There's very little "fun" in michelin restaurants.
I've worked in a couple Michelin star restaurants (both "only" 1 star but still) and I would've given that up for what seems like a nice and fun environment lol those restaurants were a nightmare honestly
And it's honestly better for his carreer. Not only is it that diversification, it's getting him name recognition and plenty of space/money to EXPLORE. right now much of his job is just "here's a bunch of money, learn about foods from around the worlds and come up with some interesting recipes." When he eventually leaves he'll have learned a bunch, have created his entire menu on company dime, and done it all in a relatively relaxing environment goofing off with friends. Having to occasionally do something embarrassing is totally worth. That title is already on his career, and "co hosted a cooking show while being the head chef of the company" is a jump nobody would question if he does go back into the normal workforce.
I love that Kush, who is the epitome pf crazy kitchen energy worked inmichelin star restaurants. Years of seriousness and rigidityhave created a tornado of skill and insane ideas
I just love how the boys have completely given in and just release Kush into the kitchen and stand around knowing that chaos is gonna do SOMETHING amazing!
O in Michelin level restaurants they sure will learn the crazy shit he does. Sure the work hours are brutal. However when there is time for banter and messing around. They will go really crazy. It is often those moments when you build your team spirit.
This was hilarious. I'd like to see an episode where they cook using kids kitchen things. An Easy Bake Oven, kids sized tools, kids safe knives for cutting, and I'm sure there are a ton more things that could be thrown into the mix.
James is nostalgic and was fine but personally I always found him way too negative and simultaneously taking everything way too seriously and not seriously enough. He was too serious about everything on camera but didn't really seem serious about the entertainment side. Kinda like Jamie Hyneman but without Jamie's ability to be accidentally perfect for the role.
Oh I totally disagree about him being negative. I think he was the perfect foil for the boys clown type antics, sometimes. Very much the straight man to the boys' funny man. When the boys made a 'dinner date' for him & Ben (it might have been Valentine's day} he was so funny in his reactions BECAUSE he was kind of serious@@Draugo
i do really love having a chef an "normals" in a format that wasn't just chaos of a timed thing. The challenge was fun (and you peeps seemed to have fun with it) so less stress is kinda lovely
A few minutes in, and I can't stop laughing 😂 The costumes 😂 Kush insisting on calling everyone Daddy 😂 Mike 'concentrating' 😂 This is gonna be wonderful!
This episode had me literally crying. It was such a delight to watch. The "Whe have 4 blue bags of brown stuff" part I will remember for and chuckle about for a long time.
I love how these recent episodes have been showing how much Kush and Jamie vibe with each other, and I know that extends to off-camera too. They have similar senses of humor and every video they're in together they seem to have so much fun, and that synchronized "babies can't write" quip from both of them was 100% a bro moment!
I love seeing the dads go “no that’s good and that’s got real bits in it” and Jamie going you can make cocktails with that. Speaking from very little experience when my nephew out grew some of these things we would sneak on some of his snacks and pouches so they would not be wasted to help him get rid of the ones he didn’t like as much and some were really good.
I’d like to see a “only using things bought in the reduced section of a supermarket” video. Maybe a battle between the normals each at a different supermarket price point
That would be fun. I often pick up the big $2(usd)box/bag of discounted veg or fruit. Most times it's just oddly shaped instead of pretty. I ended up with 10 pounds of potatoes that were mixed varieties from bags that had been broken open. It was less than $1 so totally worth it. It even had 2 big Russet potatoes for baking and 3 big sweet potatoes that we baked a different night. The rest ended up in mashed potatoes later on lol
@@exzyle2k That's the type of budget battle we need. At my most strict budget, I hated the budget recipes out there because they did cost per serving and the ingredients would add up quickly. Yeah, a teaspoon of extra virgin olive is pretty cheap in the long run, but buying a whole bottle of it? No way. Quinoa is healthy and great, but when your rent is due, I don't care if I'm only eating a fraction of the container, because I can't afford the container. (Thankfully I don't have to budget like that anymore, but it keeps things in perspective)
Fun video, I like the challenges with a difference. Was thinking it would be fun to make a series of "Mock/Ersatz" dishes from WWII. Due to rationing & shortages food was often made to taste/look like something more luxurious. Mock Banana Sandwich using parsnip and banana essence, Mock Goose, Mock Turtle Soup, Mock Black Pudding, Mock Brains (seriously!?), Mock Oyster Soup, Mock Cream. Then see if someone can guess that they're supposed to be.
Mock things exist in current times too.. like surimi that is mock-crab made of fish powder and food dye.. But ye olden times of ww2 era; in Finland coffee replacement was roasted dandelion/chicory root. Highly doubt they are commercially available (although I bet Ben would love them for... reasons. And Barry... for other reasons.)
@@Lanka0Kera Yeah didn't Sorted do something with surimi recently? I like eating dandelions for many things, but as coffee its awful. I remember my mother resorting to Camp Coffee which is made from chicory in the 70's when there was some shortages here. you can still get dandelion & chicory coffee, either in cheap instants or pay a lot for it in "underwear knitted from bramble vines" health food/vegan shops. I have also made coffee from acorns. Well I wouldn't call it coffee; more of a hot beverage.

Baby foods can actually taste pretty good, but they have zero seasonings and no texture at all but smooth. This is a challenge! Gonna speak frankly. Baby food, specially the fruit based kind, is not that Bad. I learned that when helping feeding my baby cousins. Thanks For this Guys
Some of the best Banana bread I have ever made was made with banana baby food... Also the rice cereal baby food is much less expensive than the stuff made for adults!
Oh my gosh, you guys look so cute in those big "baby" costums ! That will be a very fun video to watch. Thank you very much everybody at Sorted Food for the great work you do, and for the amazing things you try.
I love this series, very fun to watch the cooking thought process, but also Ben's guessing process! On that note I have 3 suggestions for videos 1. Idk how feasible that one is. Keep it up guys!❤
Maybe one cooked from MRE (meal ready to eat)? Take a few apart and make a brand new meal out of it. The drink powders must be used in some way as well too
I am so grateful for Sorted. My very small of 4 is going through very hard times that don’t really have hope of improving due to their ages. I was traveling today for some doctor appointments and am just watching. Seeing them all in baby clothes is 1000% making my day. Thank you. 💕

This is my new favorite episode! This was such a fun video to watch! Thank you guys for being so fun while teaching us new things and giving us new ideas for meals. I love this channel and am so glad I found you all. You’ve become a great part of my everyday as I finish my day binging old videos of yours until I fall asleep. 😊
Next one everything comes from a packet like dried peas, instant potatoes, dry packet mix. Oh what about if you could get a couple of army ration packs to try and make something a 5 star meal. The guys looked cute. Kush's brain is more powerful than a computer the way he comes up with ideas
I've had a rough couple of days and I laughed from start to finish - thank you as always for the work you put into these to bring us something fun! Ben's face was worth it
Love learning about cooking and food, but i'm definitively staying for the chaotic energy, jokes, competence and cheer laughter and humor video after video 👍 thanks team, you rock! (and rocked those onesies 😂)
Kush really just came out here like 'Let's get a Maillard reaction on the baby yogurt...' This challenge pushed the borders in a way they should never be pushed. That entire line felt Lovecraftian.
I mean, it's not a theme Ebbers would ever be able to guess, but I think the video would be hilarious: one-handed cooking. The guys get one hand tied behind their back (for extra difficulty, take away their dominant hand). To balance it out, they're allowed to work in pairs.
I’m a nurse and I’d love to see you guys do a chef take on Thick It (the thickener used for people on swallow precautions). Love to see simple easy ways of elevating something that can be absolutely foul. Love you guys!!
I'm a mom of a, 6 and 4 yr old. Since having children I've never eaten healthier. I love snacking on baby food and baby snacks because they taste like the real ingredients and there is so much less sugar!
Just wait till they're a bit older and you're reduced to sobbing quietly while finishing off their leftover plates of spaghetti and turkey dinosaurs when they've had a bit of a strop and decided they don't want it as it's on the wrong colour plate. No? Just me then.
@@BacaryLasagne My method of dealing with that is now *very* old-fashioned. My four sat up the table with their plate of food until they ate it. We were too poor to throw food away and they knew that fact from the earliest age. There were no alternatives so it was eat or go hungry.
Cooking using only McDonald's Food. Kush and James (if he is available) have to both use the breadth of the McDonald's Menu, and there has to be a Sweet and a Savoury (Essence of Big Mac?).
Challenge: Have the guys done a "natives only" challenge? Strictly using ingredient species indigenous to England or another region? e.g., no potatoes allowed, lol.
This has taken me right back!! My (now 18year old) daughter used to love lemon meringue baby pudding when she was tiny. Her dad and I loved eating the left overs from that pudding!!!
I love this. Over a decade ago I watched a couple debate which jar of ultra processed baby food their 9 mon old "wants" for dinner. My brain was screaming...it all tastes the same. You guys proved my point, the names on the bottle is just for the adults.
Grown men! 😂 Sorted Team- I applaud you for your commitment to entertaining us at your own expense. The content is always excellent- consistently inventive! Well done!

Great video as always. I really, really love Kush. Every video he features in always add an extra element for me and I find myself laughing at his humor. So glad he joined the team on screen 😊
Loved this 😂 Other theme ideas... microwave ready meals, fast food, around the world (multiple cuisines maybe some slightly clashing ones flavour wise into 1 dish), dietry like gluten free or dairy free, a-z (one letter randomly chosen and can only use ingredients beginning with that letter), pet chef peeves (could be overcooked meat/pasta/veg, under/over seasoned food etc), tiny student dorm room on budget (very cheap/limited ingredients and very minimal utensils/appliances)
Loved this episode!!! You guys are hilarious 🤣 also Kush is so skilled omg would have never thought, or could do something so fancy looking from all the options of baby goop's you had.
This is so Fun!!! I laughed hard watching the whole video and it feels good to see the inner child in us come out and you guys having fun feeling it. Awesome!!
I love watching these because its like a prank that you are meant to enjoy. And we basically get to watch them throw you a surprise food party hoping you like it. I think we should have kush be the one to try and guess the next try to stump chef. Im curious if you make the restriction of only steamed foods.
This is a bit complex, and might not fit this format exactly, but I had an idea: Lots of food packages have preparation instructions on the back. What if those steps are the only things that are allowed to be performed, but they can be applied in whichever order, and to whatever food, the boys wish? Here's the plan: send the boys to the store to select their ingredients. Tinned soup would have the instruction to simmer; a salad kit would have the instruction to mix in a bowl. Adding more food would provide more prep "tools", but also they'd need to find a way to use that additional food as well.
You guys are literally spoiling us with sooooo many videos one after another^^ not that I'm complaining though.. your Videos are always the best part of my day
This is absolutely hilarious, but also perhaps unintentionally informative. Some people have to baby food due to severe digestive issues. This is actually a really good guide to making it a lot more palatable. Good job all around!

Ben's face was worth it
"I got it! The restriction was EXTREMELY ULTRA PROCESSED FOODS!"
"Uh... ooof... wow..."
Love learning about cooking and food, but i'm definitively staying for the chaotic energy, jokes, competence and cheer laughter and humor video after video 👍 thanks team, you rock! (and rocked those onesies 😂)
Chef Kush: “What’s Ebbers’s favourite thing to do?”
Barry: “Can’t say that on camera.”
Meanwhile, Ben: (Guarding the storefront of Ebbers Delights)
Absolutely love this series! So crazy and innovative and fun at the same time!
We need Ebbers reacts videos where he watches them preparing the food.
I'm loving this series, this was the funniest one yet! maybe you could do one only using food from a convenience store.
The guys in this baby suits are so cute and yet hilarious at the same time 🤣🤣🤣 !!!!!
Omg yay
Kush really just came out here like 'Let's get a Maillard reaction on the baby yogurt...'
This challenge pushed the borders in a way they should never be pushed.
This was UNHINGED and i loved EVERY second of it!!!!!!!!!!!! Kush was 1000% in his element
Baby food is actually probably the healthiest and purest food produced nowadays😅
This has been my favorite episode yet. "WAAHH!! MORE!!!"
That would be fruit and vegetables and meat...
@@BacaryLasagne Don't feed them for the next 24 hours. Takes the strop right out of them when they experience REAL hunger.
@@thaisstone5192 Social Services *disliked* this
@@BacaryLasagne Oh, yeah??? Well, snitches get stitches.
Honestly one of the funniest episodes in forever, all the jokes and banter were just so funny!!
Challenge: Toy cookery! Only cook with toy kitchen items and play-dough tools.
Been binging sorted today and I'm just so blown away by the level of content this team gives us. It's unreal. So much love for you guys. ❤❤❤
Cooking using only McDonald's Food. Kush and James (if he is available) have to both use the breadth of the McDonald's Menu, and there has to be a Sweet and a Savoury (Essence of Big Mac?).
Yes, as the long overdue punishment for refusing to taste McDonalds!
I love these types of videos keep them coming
You guys always put a smile in my face! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just love it when Kush gets into the kitchen.
The fact that this came out right as I was feeding my infant daughter some banana 😂
Top tip, baby fruit pouches make awesome cocktail and porridge toppers!
Wow I typed that, just as Jamie said the cocktail tip!
This is rapidly becoming my favourite series of challenges! 😂👏🏻
Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for the giggles and the "new culinary ideas".
Challenge: Have the guys done a "natives only" challenge? Strictly using ingredient species indigenous to England or another region? e.g., no potatoes allowed, lol.
Holy moly, I've seen more of the boys in this episode than I ever wanted to!
Please do one with pretentious ingredients! 😍
This has taken me right back!! My (now 18year old) daughter used to love lemon meringue baby pudding when she was tiny. Her dad and I loved eating the left overs from that pudding!!!
I love the fact Kush is appearing in more videos, he's an absolute diamond to watch.
Very very good! I love how the minds in your office work!
The biggest question is, who are making these costumes for adults??!!!!😶
I love this. Over a decade ago I watched a couple debate which jar of ultra processed baby food their 9 mon old "wants" for dinner. My brain was screaming...it all tastes the same. You guys proved my point, the names on the bottle is just for the adults.
Grown men! 😂
Sorted Team- I applaud you for your commitment to entertaining us at your own expense.
The content is always excellent- consistently inventive! Well done!
Ditto that❤
As long as people keep watching, so it means we're never in the position of having to get a 'real' job with all this incriminating evidence across the internet!!
😂
5:38 I remember growing up with jelly that were in cell phone shaped plastic enclosures and you would use the ‘antenna’ as the straw. Such fun!
I love how incredibly creative this episode was!! In both the hosting and the cooking process
I burst out laughing at 2:20 when Jamie turned his back to the camera, moved to the sink, and showed us his bloomers!
I just looked up the babyfood Bellini hack and I have to try that!
Great video as always. I really, really love Kush. Every video he features in always add an extra element for me and I find myself laughing at his humor. So glad he joined the team on screen 😊
I'm so happy that the subtitles are back. Thank you so much
Thank you sorted for this silly challenge I needed a laugh today after a crapy day at work and you brought a big smile and laugh to me.
So glad you enjoyed it! We all need a smile every now and then, it's amazing we can help with that!
If you can get some, other fun ones would be military MRE. And astronaut food
These videos are some of the funniest you've done recently. They're fantastic
Awesome!!
Kush looking great in his onesie ❤😂
Ebbers, "OOOOH!"
Said perfectly 😂
Ben's smile at the end was so good!
I love watching these because its like a prank that you are meant to enjoy. And we basically get to watch them throw you a surprise food party hoping you like it. I think we should have kush be the one to try and guess the next try to stump chef. Im curious if you make the restriction of only steamed foods.
Since adding Kush this has become my favorite series!
This is a bit complex, and might not fit this format exactly, but I had an idea:
Lots of food packages have preparation instructions on the back.
"They do as well"
Indeed! We love the guinea pig that you are, Ebbers. 🥰🤣
This is the kind of silly insanity I'm here for! 😂❤
Besides the regular food geekery of course.
i have to say the chemistry between all of you guys are comedic and educational in other words great job lads 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
