Want to see this boat finished up. Got one just like it that that I'm starting on. Awesome indepth information that you have provided that I haven't found anywhere else on TH-cam. Thanks for the details!
Nice progress! Pride all the way. Felt the same way on my build. And if ya'll dont finish up come deer hunting season it looks like your able to take a poke at a few from the garage while you continue to work! lol Looking forward to more vids.
We got busy and didnt actually do a full video before we sold it. I will look through our footage and see if i cant find enough to put a video together. But in the mean time you can check it out on TikTok.
im curious. First off, that was an awesome job from start to finish. Im curious, how did the boat actually run on the water?? never any videos.?? You removed the bench seats which help stabilize the sides of boat. How did the boat react with them taken out? did the sides flex??? Thank you
I appreciate that. As for riding in the water it did great. It cut through the waves really well and planed quickly. When we removed the bench seats it didn’t flex as it wasn’t under and stress. The decks and everything else we put it stabilized it better than factory anyway.
As long as you stay a few inches or so from the top of the boat you can get away with it. We did about 6-8 inches below top of the boat. Was just fine. But the lower you go the more shallow the storage under will be.
You can get your sheet metal from any local distributor. Shop around because all sheet metal prices are not created equal. The .063 I think was around $300 a sheet I believe.
The layout is good, however if we could redo we’d make the floor higher so the hatches are deeper. And rearrange the hatches up front. But aluminum rough estimate around $2k-3k sheet metal, angle, flat bar, square tubing, rivets.
We’ll see what had happened was is we come across a deadline to make it to an event and pushed through and forgot to record a lot. Some of the footage we took from the event got lost and we ended up selling the boat. So there really isn’t any finished footage minus a brief sneak peak in a few lives videos from TB nation and Fireant.

The boat has been completed. Will get a video before it’s sold
That battery lid will flex when you step on it. Seems like you need a little more clearance.
We are putting Eva foam on the inner side of the lid and capping the terminals so everything should be safe.

Yeah! Thanks! I didn’t even notice the deer at first while I was editing lol
Nobody gonna mention the whitetails creeping in the background lol

IS the top rail against the boat riveted to the side of the boat?
It is. We used regular rivets and sealed them
Was the boat stable on the water when fishing off the deck? I got a 14 ft Mirro craft and was thinking of adding a casting deck. Thanks

Are you going to put a wood deck on top of the aluminum or just carpet the aluminum?
No! We are putting eva foam down
@@SlaunchOutdoors can't wait for the video! Your series is going to help me out a lot once I start building my deck.
Where you get the sheet metal

I have a 84 mirrocraft 16ft.,do you have a ruff estimate on aluminum cost at th his point?I'm very interested in copying your layout on this build.

how long is it
The boat or the front casting deck?
