    We will be adding more framing once we mount the quick release bracket. Always try and frame in your brackets and use strong hardware to attach the bracket.

    What did you do about the hole in the original small bow plate? What thickness plate did you use?

    • @SlaunchOutdoors
      @SlaunchOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm pretty sure its 090 possibly 063, it's the same thickness that we used for the deck. As for the hole it was on the lip and didn't effect anything, so we left it.

    what trolling motor are you using? I have a 16' MirroCraft Deep Fisherman Im rebuilding and have no experience w bow mount motors. Got a TBNation bow kit thinking 12v 55lb but not sure about pedal or remote. plus, what shaft length for that boat? Is a scissor mount too long, maybe a compact mount would be better????
    Any updates?

      That one was a 70 i think. the shaft was a little too long as it was for a pontoon boat. this one was a 24v setup. we used a quick release mount which s really simple to use and install.

    For your aluminum legs, instead of using the scrap pieces, you could have cut the aluminum angle up pne side and bent it to a 90 degree angle and accomplished the same or perhaps even better rigidity and used less material, all be it a miniscule amount. But it def would have saved rivets and time.

      We did that at first but this way seemed better in our opinion anyway

    And how thick are these pieces of aluminum angle

      The plate I believe was made out of .063. I don’t remember exactly though

    What size sheet did you buy and what thickness ?

  • @stephenfisher4956

    What thickness do you use for bow plate

  • @ngirardo86

    Should have taken that nose piece right out of the equation. The plate would have made it more rigid than it needed to be and make your install much easier.

      We wanted to leave the handle for something to grab on to and were originally going to run the wiring for the front sonar through it.

    • @SlaunchOutdoors
      @SlaunchOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can get the full sheets at a local metal shop or you can order the angle and sheet from TBnation.net (does not come in full sheets due to shipping) use code Slaunch for 5% off

    It would be best for you to have a leader with experience and work ethic. Please stop repeating yourself repeatedly especially using the TH-cam speak, " So & Yeah". More work and a lot less talking. I'm not trying to be mean, just want to help your channel. If someone comes to "help" put them to work doing something. Good luck and God Bless

      Apparently you missed the video where we explained why we did these videos. If you don’t like how we did it or do our videos to each their own broski.
