- Today we are taking a look at 3 awesome little WLTOYS Cars which are ideal for a rainy day and great for people who are on a tight budget.
All three of these cars are incredibly capable both indoors and outdoors and super cheap only costing around £50 or $63 RTR!
Everything required is included in the box and all you need to do is fit some AA batteries before the fun can start.
Banggood have been kind enough to send me the Desert Buggy version which looks great and having the bigger/higher ground clearance should mean it's even more capable off-road.

Great options👍 I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but the desert buggy is the one I would go with. Excellent showcase of them side by side.

i put bigger wheels on the mini truck and it added a bit of ground clearance. still struggles with high pile carpet though
Great little cars, have just bought my first RC cars after checking out your channel the start of an expensive hobby i think...
It can get very expensive very quickly!
I have all of them plus a couple more.. so far they are holding up but the desert buggy servo had a gear break. I Definitely suggest a metal gear servo replacement for that one.
The old controllers, at least the one I got with the K989, were a lot better and loads less cheesy.
What about differential?
I have the first one, also named the k989. Everyone should consider checking the differentials of the cars as their drive shafts often are way too tight. Gotta sand them a little and check the gears/lube as well. That will extent the life of the motor immensely. For the k989 there are plastic drift tires which are insanely fun 😊
For indoors i would rather care about how slow it can go than how fast.

How to fix drive terrain?
Hey, Nice video. But cant you use the old controller? I have around 10 wl toys cards. And can use almost all controller on each singel car.& But i wonder is the buggy version good outsite becouse of larger tire and so on? i winder to buy one right now. Have a nice weekend

Try full throttle reverse the full forwards that might make it wheelie like the ftx tracer brushed
Definitely got to get one of these. Dont suppose anyone knows if there's room to switch the esc/receiver out for separate ones? I'm a lefty and would like ro be able to use my own radio gear
I have the 284161 and it's pretty good I've had a left wheel bearing sieze up, I was able to clean it and lube it and get it back rollin, other tha that it's been great, the steering link rod is awful flimsy but it works

i love my buggy. but the green one is better indoors. comes with drift tires too. i dont have the third.

Do you have a recommendation for kid friendly cars?
Under 30km/h top speed, good in off road capabilities, with proportional steering, a nice kid friendly controller, extremly robust and also inexpensive (not cheap!).

Is there a signifikant difference between the HBX 16889 (brushless) and the HBX 16889a pro (brushless too)?
I found the "non pro version" for a much better price and would buy this with three LiPos for 25€ less. 🤷🏻
