Man I've done this on Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn fishing behind people in community holes and freaking crushed them. It just showed me how powerful this technique is especially when you're fishing highly pressured areas. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Really good stuff dude really we worked on fish doing the same thing today tucked in the bottom could not get them to look at nothing and I had everything there that you used
Thanks bro for sharing. Been a blade bait junkie forever.Took your mini max tip,put with 2.8 bellows gill been smashing them for 3 straight weeks, tournament smasher.thanks buddy
The last few weeks, I have totally abandoned bottom bouncing techniques because those fish are looking up. A jerkbait has been tearing them up for me when worked pretty fast. Size has actually been getting better here lately.
This is great stuff homez! I’m totally hooked on the hover rig from core tackle ( I know everyone has one now ) and the spunk shad, the thing just catches them🎣, thanks as always Balzz, give the crew a 🤙 for me!
Dude… YOU WERE THE FIRST! I remember you did this (before the special rig) and called it “hover strolling”. or something… In fact, a few months later another utoober described the same idea and someone in the comments 🥸 gave you credit for coming up with this first. You are the boss no doubt 🤙🏻
A heavier weight working very fast through schools of smith lake spots will almost always generate a strike. For whatever reason they won’t take it working slower with lighter weights
I have the best luck with this technique on a 3/8 head with a 90degree line tie. Use any 5" fluke style bait. Throw it out to the fish and dont do ANYTHING...JUST LET THE BAIT FALL. No shaking, reeling, nothing. Let it fall to the fish and the will hit it when the bait gets to the bottom. This is with smelt eayers in he lakes I fish. If you try to "hoover" the bait above the fish they will not commit on the bait!

Love how you share with detailed explanations.Thx much
Nice explanation with your line info. Can’t wait to get on water and try.
Excellent show let's go over some takeaways if they're not getting those big slammers off the bottom get them while they're looking up
Im gonna try these for speckled trout in lousiana. With a 1/4 and 3/8 jig. In 14ft of water bouncing off bottom
That is a great learning video. Keep it up.
What size reel do you like using for this set up. Awesome videos. Keep them coming.

Great video, butJapanese did not develop this technique. Look up tight lining. We've been doing it TN for probably 25 years
Yup!
People have been doing this even before people had a name for it
Crappie fisherman have been doing it since crappie fishing was invented lol
They have been doing longer then 25 years 😂 so ya they probably did invent it nice try though
What bait is that on the advertisement for the video please?
And length please ?
The 6th sense finesse jig heads paired up with their divine swimbaits are killer! I've gotta order me some more Keitechs
Great informative video as usual.
Love the info Mikey! As always good video bro! Look forward to them all the time man.
Appreciate that my man!!!!
Very good video
Whats the head in your bass mafia box at the very bottom. Has the ice jig style thing...
Thanks bro for sharing. Been a blade bait junkie forever.Took your mini max tip,put with 2.8 bellows gill been smashing them for 3 straight weeks, tournament smasher.thanks buddy
that's awesome!!!!
@@mikeybalzz put a regular size black blade on one.Liked it the most 1/4 oz.with the 2.8 gc. and that size hook and blade .perfect mach.
Good stuff Mikey as always. Keep it up. Always look forward to your videos.
👊
Nice explainational video.
When will that gambler ffs shad be available
Ever tried tightlining a spybait?
How do you like them snap jigs? Is the hook up ratio pretty good?
hookup not great but watching them eat it and chase it is pretty damn cool
Bruh thank u for breaking this down like u have! I can't wait to try this out with my panoptix
Can't see nothing but your reflection...but a very nice technique...thanks for showing it 👍

that's awesome it's been a grind even in FL!
Have you tried this with a loop knot
not yet but i bet you that makes it super fluid!
good stuff my dude
Can you do this without forward facing sonar
i think you can around more vertical structures like bridge pilings, bluffs and steep banks but for picking fish off one by one you need FFS

Dude that hover rig deal is fun! Painstaking to sink down but catches them - stay tuned got a hover rig trailer vid coming.
What is the ideal water depth to fish that rig?
kinda varies depending on how much weight you use. i'd say from 8ft and deeper.
@@mikeybalzz what weight size you would start out with in 10-12 feet?
@@notsogood6249 1/8 or 1/16

Go stuff Mikey
After 2021❣❣ Love Pat 😘😘😘
Hey Bog!
Hey Mikey!
Just like ice fishing up here in Michigan with livescope
What was the name of the jig head with ridges on it? Your voice dropped and could not hear clearly.
isn't out yet but it's the FFS Jig Head from Gambler
FFS. Is on the way out.
But I was using 20 lb braid to 12 lb floro that was our problem

“Can’t bring myself to use 4lb” spoken like a typical bass fisher lol.
There are no secrets!
The most important component one needs for this technique is front facing sonar lol
True story
So basically you need ffs or it’s not happening….awesome
All that crying what the baby gonna do
@ nah, not crying at all. I manage to do just fine without it and wouldn’t buy it
Umm...Shake and Bake in California circa 1980s. All this is nothing new at all.
What's next...tule dipping?
Love your channel bro seriously.
