Hey Ryan go to see you on here I've been seeing the ads I was the one who mentioned an electric shad color anyway you further convinced me to try your baits for sure I'll be getting some Ozark shads real soon
So cool to see two of my favorite guys fishing this bait. I fell in love with it from the very first moment I got it in my hands. It catches bigs and provides some unique presentations that pressured fish have not seen.
What up from middle TN! My new favorite fishing channel (next to the Fishing Machine!)who is in your same neck of the woods. Excellent videos all around Mikey!!! Thank you 😎
I've done something similar with a nose weighted fluke but I use a pop rivet head up through the belly and do a line through with a treble hook. Action is very trap like. Line through helps save plastics / weights from being shaken off. You do have to be perfectly centered with everything or is doesn't run true.
I noticed that you lost a few baits If you were to add a Dental Rubber band used in orthodontics right behind the hook. It would save you countless bait. I will definitely try this. I love the correlation between the rattle trap and this bait. Thanks, Mikey.
I don't know if you ever watch Richard Gene but he pre rigs some of his crappie jig heads with dental floss around shank of hook similar to what you did with the braid and then super glues his plastics and they stay on for awhile. Just an idea, tight lines homey.
Great video man! Good stuff,! I just recorded a bass fishing video for my channel and it’s cool to see how other people are doing!! I love watching your videos, keep up the good work!! 🎣🤝🎣
I just got some of those Dr. fish hooks. The 5313 owner Hook looks exactly like it without the keeper. So we should be able to use smaller hooks for smaller baits.
Hey Andrew you are right . I give Ben all the credit for this rig because it has changed how we are able to present these offerings to fish. The difference in using the echo is because of the shape you can actually speed it up and it will list like a vibe or rattle trap . This speed up has been a good bite trigger for us.
I make my own head for that… it may be for sale very soon. Getting molds made. Crème used to make a urethane rubber lipless crank that was awesome, but I don’t think they make it now. Dumbbell eyes and a center hook hanger for a treble.
Take a paper staple and tie it up to the hook shank with a jig bobbin super glue when finished wrapping and bam you got the best soft plastic keeper for hover hooks. Bend it forward a tad of course 🤙 worth the work bc you'll extend the life of each plastic. You can do this on numerous lures as well.
With keeper issue, why don't you super glue it in place. I do this with my flukes when jerk fishing. Be sides that the technique and rig looks very intriguing. Just bought the 5.4.
I do firmly believe with these more elaborate plastic rigs, we need them with hooks "cast in" in production. Even better with some heavier thread whipped all the way down the shank and glued on the whip finish end. Better adhesion, no alignment or misrigging problems, more durability, and most importantly for the seller a slightly better markup. Proper rigging can make or break a lure. Improper rigging can sour an angler new to a brand/lure. EDIT: Holy shjt you mentioned something similar mid video. Of you patent the idea, i'll take my royalties in a goodie bag of plastics 😁
Mikey watch Richard Gene The Fishing Machine he rigs crappie jigs with tooth floss the same way you did with braid but he uses Super Glue when he inserts the hook so he can use the same bait 20 times or more.
Mikey, your channel is almost perfect. Just need a GoPro for some underwater footage. Do that, and you've got the best bass fishing channel on YT. Seriously.
Is this any different than what Ben freakin Milliken did with his hover juggle bro? I hate to even mention the guy- but it’s 100% the same rig-even down to the nail weight. Something tells me your buddy Ryan knew this and just put the rig to work in his plastics .. but still cast makes some dope baits.
Hey brother as mentioned in previous comment on this thread I give 100% to Ben for coming up with this rig and it’s awesome. Me buddy Franco showed me this rig and we learned that when using it with the Echo because of the shape we were able to burn it like at a vibe . Thanks for love on the CAST baits. We are working hard!
Maybe I can actually catch a big bag if I just stick with one thing LOL I like playing around especially when somebody says they got something new for me to check out
@@mikeybalzz sounds like buddy! As soon as he catches one on crankbait he picks up a spinnerbait then a jig, then a ……. He just wants to see how many different ways he can catch them!😂🤪🎣🎣🎣
Don't mention FFS on your video's, because Randy B. will say on his TH-cam channel that you cannot catch a fish w/o FFS. LOL!!! Was that Cat Woman on the water today? LOL!!!! Put a drop of Super glue on both ends where the hook comes out.

Really enjoyed fishing this rig with you brother. As always being open minded and pushing the boundaries of conventional has tremendous results
The Dr Fish hooks come in some odd sizes. Was it the #3s?
@@thedadbodangler7784 haha yes the do! We are using the a size 3/0 for the 5.4 Echo and a size 1 for the 3.5 .
I guess we'll have to do it again......in 5 years 😂

I think you're the one who came up with this right? Or at least figured out that it would vibrate like that
@@mikeybalzzI have to give Milliken credit for the rig but I figured out the swim on the Echo 😊
Nice little video Mikey I like the Sneaky sneaky deal. Good stuff brother!

Such a sick rig. Thanks for the video Mikey and Ryan
Glad you like man. I appreciate Mikey being willing to put it to the test
Nice rig! I'll definitely be giving it a try. Great video as always!
I recently bought these baits but have tried them yet. Now you got me excited to tie one on. Thanks.
Such an awesome rig! Great video
❤ Look at the DUO NOMASE GILL has the exact action .The hook tie is up top and weighted in belly.❤ It's a soft vibe.

That’s a great idea to use the pop rivet head.
That underwater shot of the rig swimming is awesome looking.
Right I can't believe how much like a lipless it looked
Ryan is the man !!! Been throwing the OG on Lanier for two years now. Master Class !!!
Thanks so much brother
Love it, got them on order. I’m gonna add a drop of krazy glue to stop the slippage.

Great information!!! I will give it a try
Awesome having a great friend with awesome lures that makes for a great day
I want to try this rig in the saltwater for flounder and redfish and trout. I don't spotlight fish but it sounds like a good presentation anyway.
It definitely works. I throw the echo a lot in the saltwater

What size hook?
Mikey, you have any advice on a good bass guide service on Okachobee or any of the other lakes in that area?
Look up matt w fishing good buddy of mine and a stick out there

That’s the hover juggle that miliken has been using for over a year now although it’s using a cast bait instead of a 6th sense juggle minnow

Love the OG 30
hover rig hook 3/0 correct? This is fun catching big bass!
Mikey wouldn’t the core tackle ozark hook work the same way? Great looking bait.
Not sure but that's something I might have to experiment with
What size hook for the 5” Echo?
As always u show good stuff thank you dude
Glad you enjoyed it but I thought it was pretty cool when he showed that thing to me
I recommend Neco rigging flukes, also.
Will try this
Wonder if a wrap of small dia lead wire around the shank would help hold it.
That may work. The thing about the braid is the fibers bite into the plastic which keeps it in place pretty good.
Eggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggslent. Thanx for Sharing. You rock!

no doubt, rigging this thing correctly is huge! or it won't work right. minnow baits on the way man!
How do you determine how far the hook eye is set back ?
Does altering further back make the action wider ?
And further forward tighten the action ?
what size hook is he using?
This is a 3/0 for the 5.4 echo and we are using a size 1 for the 3.5
Ok 100% trying this at next tourney

when he inserts the hook so he can use the same bait 20 times or more.
I never thought about using floss that's a really really good idea
Its almost like yoyo a lipless but with a plastic
Just use dollar store crazy glue to hold it to the hook. I’m gonna try this setup next time I’m out. Thanks 😉👍
Here ya go
I wish he had given more info on the hook. Not sure what size hook he was using here.
3/0 dr fish hover hook. They're on Amazon
Use the super glue on the dental floss on the hook like Richard Gene the fishing Machine! It will stick and stay then!

Because of guys like you Mike my fishing success in catching bass literally went up OVER 400%
On advice from guys like you using only a few new lures and correct presentations I have already caught more bass and bigger bass in just the last three months than I caught in ALL of 2023
And I am teaching my sons what I learned and they are now much much more successful and want to fish instead of spending time on video games which I hate
It's 10x easier to get your sons to go fishing with you when they know the odds are 70% or better they will catch fish which is now the case vs getting skunked which rarely happens anymore
Down side though is my boys needed their own fishing setups and tackle and between buying dedicated technique specific fishing set ups standard GP fishing setups and soft plastics and terminal tackle I've bought over a dozen new fishing setups and spent over $300 just on technique specific hooks and another $300-$400 on technique specific soft plastics but by the grace of the good Loard this stuff just flat out catches the heck out of the bass and the great memories I am making fishing with my sons its money very very well spent
There is little else in life a dad like me finds brings him more joy and satisfaction than teaching his sons how to do fun things then watch them do it well and there is nothing better than teaching your son how to fish and then watch him do it well.
