I was in Denver and Peter Paul and Mary sang to my Mother! She cried she was so happy! Thank you so very much for your kindness and love! Dr.Tim Rasico
The words… you could actually understand the words when singers like this sang. I must admit, it’s surprising to me to hear Andy Williams singing Bob Dylan. But a great song and a great singer shouldn’t ever pass each other by without giving it a whirl.
I love the original PP&M version but I have got to admit, this one is very hard do surpass. Andy Williams was also a giant. We were blessed to have all these talented geniuses among us.
Oh ! how wonderful singing and charming music it is. I can't fall in love to all of you, especially cheerful rhythm is so captive and beautiful. I was moved so much again. (90yrs.Japanese) With best wishes and genuine affection.
I was a young boy when my parents bought the album. I fell in love with this song (and a few others off the album). Recently learned a basic version on guitar.
When I was in college in the early 60’s PPM performed at our small midwesterner campus, Gustavus Adolphus College. After the concert Mary needed transportation to MPLS to go home. A couple of frat brothers including me took her to the airport. I will never forget. Tom Tomfohr
Remember as a kid growing up and getting the First TV in the village where I lived, and watch the Andy Williams show, and think.even at my very young age,how smooth his voice is,Dean Martin, had the same affect on me as well. Watching this as a,much older guy can say,my thoughts as a kid weren't wrong,as the song Tennessee whiskey line goes as sweet as Strawberry wine
OMG - I grew up with this song, it’s a classic, but I never listened to all the lyrics until just now. I am crying. Bob Dylan wrote it, yes? About a man whose heart was broken but pretending he’s okay and it doesn’t matter? How painful. What a deep. touching song. I am blown away. I saw these 4 sing Kisses Sweeter Than Wine here on TH-cam and that was a killer, too. Such high caliber artistry! Thank you for posting!
There are so many singers (including myself!) converted this song, but PP&M version is always my fav! I heard it on a vinyl in Japan during the late 70s. The lyrics that was nothing but meaningless collection of vowels and consonants, now after living in the US for 33yrs, they all are meaningful language.
And so 'tongue in cheek'. Yes a great performance, but what else can one expect from P,P & M AND Andy Williams. Such great artists. Andy looks so mischievous too. Or maybe a little stoned Heh, heh.
If you read the History of Peter, Paul, and Mary, you will find that they are the ones who jump started Bob Dylan's career by singing his music and making the songs popular.
Wow, thank you for uploading this video (again). I was searching for it months after it was deleted from TH-cam. It's really good version having all these great voices combined in one song.
See, as someone mentioned on another song video, here Andy is fitting in & blending with a PP&M song, not forcing it to be an Andy song. As opposed to Frank Sinatra, who would have made this a Sinatra song with PP&M. Sounds like they kept their original key, forcing Andy to dip low at the end of the phrases, but he kind of shucks it off. What a humble singer, appreciating his guests, and following them to make them sound great. Total class, Mr. Williams.
Problem is that Andy made himself the center of EVERY talented group or artist that he had on his show - show me one he didn’t - injected himself on EVERY ONE - I repeat.
@@dennisdeman3514 hi, interesting opinion. I don't think I can disagree with you, he certainly interjected himself (joined with) many of the groups on his show. And that was uncommon on those variety shows. But I wouldn't say he made himself the "center" of the performance; he seemed to blend in and not adapt the song's styling. Certainly not as obtrusive as, say, Ed Sullivan joining to sing with The Beatles.
It ain’t no use to sit and wonder why, babe It don’t matter, anyhow An’ it ain’t no use to sit and wonder why, babe If you don’t know by now When your rooster crows at the break of dawn Look out your window and I’ll be gone You’re the reason I’m trav’lin’ on Don’t think twice, it’s all right It ain’t no use in turnin’ on your light, babe That light I never knowed An’ it ain’t no use in turnin’ on your light, babe I’m on the dark side of the road Still I wish there was somethin’ you would do or say To try and make me change my mind and stay We never did too much talkin’ anyway So don’t think twice, it’s all right It ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal Like you never did before It ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal I can’t hear you anymore I’m a-thinkin’ and a-wond’rin’ all the way down the road I once loved a woman, a child I’m told I give her my heart but she wanted my soul But don’t think twice, it’s all right I’m walkin’ down that long, lonesome road, babe Where I’m bound, I can’t tell But goodbye’s too good a word, gal So I’ll just say fare thee well I ain’t sayin’ you treated me unkind You could have done better but I don’t mind You just kinda wasted my precious time But don’t think twice, it’s all right
I Only Knew the '4 SEASONS' Rendition of This Song Until I Stumbled Upon 'PETER, PAUL & MARY'S' Rendition. What a Truly Deep & Beautiful Song. I Really Understood the Lyrics Better Listening to 'PP & MARY'S Version. Love Both Though. Totally Underated Song.
There are many top quality singers with excellent voices today. They haven't mysteriously disappeared like you infer. Then there are some that with a bit of help with autotune, because their voices aren't the best quality, can offer us great performances that we wouldn't hear otherwise.
Almost panicked when I noticed this upload was gone. Thanks for uploading, true masterpiece of a performance.
Just notice that i couldn't find this footage. Just now.
Me too man, i was looking all over for this
Was heartbroken it was taken off...fabulous performance & so glad it's back!

This song still kills me 52 years after since I first heard it.
I was in Denver and Peter Paul and Mary sang to my Mother! She cried she was so happy! Thank you so very much for your kindness and love! Dr.Tim Rasico
your mother is so lucky!
Just amazing harmonies. Andy is the cherry on top. Just wow❤
It's an absolutely fantastic performance. There's something about Andy's voice that you just don't hear anymore.
"genuine talent".... "perfect pitch"... "respect for fellow artists"... am i getting close?
The words… you could actually understand the words when singers like this sang. I must admit, it’s surprising to me to hear Andy Williams singing Bob Dylan. But a great song and a great singer shouldn’t ever pass each other by without giving it a whirl.
Thank God
I grew up in this music Era.
What a privilege ❤
That was beautiful. I miss both Mary Travers and Andy Williams.
I would like to hear their voice not only twice but also many times again and again. (91yrs.Japanese)
I love the original PP&M version but I have got to admit, this one is very hard do surpass. Andy Williams was also a giant. We were blessed to have all these talented geniuses among us.
People forget what a amazing singer Any Williams was…truly gifted
It is a great song by Peter Paul and Mary and Andy just made it greater.
after all I would quite agree with you at the Zenith.(90yrs.Japanese)
It’s a Bob Dylan song originally.
To be there and witness this masterpiece unfold right before your eyes. The moment was probably lst to most. But what a moment in time.
This is so beautiful!! RIP Peter!😢
Mary was a sweetheart.
Many thanks for rescuing and then re-uploading this 3 minute masterpiece.
So sad that half of the people here have passed and eventually everyone and all the values from the sixties will have gone forever.
😢 I hear you 😢
The values live on.
This is the definitive version of this classic. I play it myself, copying this guitar version, and have taught guitar students.
Beautiful song.......takes me back to so many happy times.
Anything Andy sings turns to gold❤️
Oh my! Andy Williams totally kills this one.. what a brilliant voice. Aided ably by the beautiful harmonies from P, P & M!
I was freaking out when this was gone it's my favorite version Andy's voice is just so good in it

Mr. Wiiliams was a superb, smooth and eloquent singer.
Yes. My ears perked up when Andy started. Like his voice.
Really nice performance of a top song. Great work getting it back up.
I was a young boy when my parents bought the album.
I fell in love with this song (and a few others off the album).
Recently learned a basic version on guitar.
Man, I miss Andy. He was so smooth.
Got to love PPM. Add Andy Williams to the mix & you get perfection.
50 years ago and still rocking
You mean 60 years
A gem.
These people are legend.
Still my favorite cover of this song. Always gets to me when I listen to it. Awesome version.
This is a really good cover, if you poke around on TH-cam Chris thile has one that's also very good
I love this song but to me, this is absolutely the best version. So happy to be able to listen to it from time to time.
RIP Peter! Thanks for the music!

Love, love, love PP&M...some of the best music ever!🤩🎼🎤🎻
Such innocent words and people
Thank you for posting this.
Great interpretation w/Andy, masterpiece❤
Great voice Andy. We miss you.
Thanks so much for posting this. Andy Williams does have a distinctive voice, a great performer.
What a Masterpiece!
Magic. Andy Williams could sing anything and make it sound good.
And so 'tongue in cheek'. Yes a great performance, but what else can one expect from P,P & M AND Andy Williams. Such great artists. Andy looks so mischievous too. Or maybe a little stoned Heh, heh.
He was in Branson when we lived there towards the end of his career. I had forgotten just how handsome he was back in the 60s. A real heartthrob!
Brings momentary peace in an otherwise crazy world.
fantastic song , singers😊😊
So good
Cheers for uploading man! Thought we'd lost it
Ouvir estas músicas vamos as lagrimas ...saudades de era dourada ...anos 50,60,70 e parte dos anos 80....triste o que se tem hj. choramos da raiva.
I'm sorry but andy is one of the great vocalists of all-time no doubt!!
Why be sorry about that?
I always come back to this song around this time of year. Thank you so much for taking the time to re-upload it!
This is pure magic.
Stupenda performance ❤️
Bravissimi!!!👏👏🎶
Masterpiece. Thank you.
It's amazing to me how so many singers and bands made a living off Bob Dylan's words.
Yes but PPM gave his lyrics beautiful harmony . Watch them just by themselves
Do this song
If you read the History of Peter, Paul, and Mary, you will find that they are the ones who jump started Bob Dylan's career by singing his music and making the songs popular.
They could sing in any venue
Fantastic rendition of another of Bobs songs , true legend
a wonderful rendition!!
Beautiful
The guitars are very good....evocative

Andy Williams’ voice man, wow

I will add that Andy was a great talent himself and I enjoyed his music back in the day as he had many great hits deservedly so. 👍🏻

wonderful video

He has a great voice. Did an awesome job with Dylan's phrasing.

Great!
Many thanks. First time saw this version. Any one will have the live performance of 'There is a Ship" ?
Paul Stookey never looks at his guitar fretboard during the entire song. 😳
Those were the days !

To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin’ anyway
So don’t think twice, it’s all right
It ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal
Like you never did before
It ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal
I can’t hear you anymore
I’m a-thinkin’ and a-wond’rin’ all the way down the road
I once loved a woman, a child I’m told
I give her my heart but she wanted my soul
But don’t think twice, it’s all right
I’m walkin’ down that long, lonesome road, babe
Where I’m bound, I can’t tell
But goodbye’s too good a word, gal
So I’ll just say fare thee well
I ain’t sayin’ you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don’t mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don’t think twice, it’s all right
Don’t think twice it’s alright ❤
Pity we can't petition for an Andy Williams Sings Dylan album.
Cool music kids!! Better listen.....
鸡皮疙瘩起来了,组合和声完美,安迪威廉姆斯的唱功真好

Só posso dizer em português: é uma canção muito bela. Arranca lágrimas dos meus olhos.
Andy tinha uma voz linda.
and of course, the pure act of class at the end to give credit to PP&M...
jolie version ...
How to take a great song from the greatest ever songwriter and iron it flat
They really kill it after Mary starts.
Show me a show on network TV as good as this, the Carrol Burnett Show, Smothers Brothers, Dean Martin, Glenn Campbell shows.

Bob Dylan wrote it and you could give that a listen.
Great
Mary travers is so cool
Bob Dylan singing this song is the best. I think Mary Travers singing this song on her own would have been beautiful.
Bob Dylan is a good songwriter but he's really not a good singer
Almost all of his songs sound better when others sing them
@@SirTaes -- I have to agree. Dylan really doesn't have the best singing voice; it is definitely an acquired taste. But I've heard worse.
@@LLewis-vu9qfcheck out his duet with Johnny Cash singing Girl From the North Country. Sublime.

Andy tinha uma voz linda, estilo Sinatra...
Way better than Sinatra in my opinion. But just an opinion.
No one can say "Fuck off" prettier than Bob Dylan.
Ha ha! Good point.
His ex Joan Baez gave as good as she got with Diamonds and Rust.
Yes. That was good.
