- Some channels have recently been reuploading my material without giving me credit. Although this is all Dylan's property first and foremost, it takes me many hours to create a video, especially videos like these. Please don't reupload my stuff :) Below is come interesting info on this upload.
I edited together some excerpts of "Don't Look Back" as well as bootlegged footage to make this "music video." I then overdubbed the original tape audio with the officially released soundboard recording of this concert. This was recorded at Town Hall in Birmingham, England on May 5, 1965. Sounds wonderful 😎 I love this version so much. The way he wails and strums and blows that harmonica to death. it's perfect. If I hear one more music expert complain about his harmonica technique they'll be hearing from me! Lol. It fits the mood and the spirit of the song.

Thanks for this! Do you know where it was performed? I saw Dylan do this version in New Haven, CT in, I think, the fall of '64. I'm not sure if hewas drunk--I'd heard he drank a lot in the early days to over-ride his nervousness--but he fell down partway thru the song & continued playing, singing into the guitar mic. At least this is my memory of the night. Since my friends & I were drunk--my closest friend, James, passed out right before Dylan ambled on stage & passed back in right after Dylan ambled off--but I remember loving this rollicking version.

Looks like an outtake from “Don’t Look Back” filmed at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
got myself ( i was 14 year at the time ) a blue vinyll record in early '70s a bootleg with a brown hardcover with only that Swingin' Pig emblem on it. One could't tell what songs were on it cause it didn't say.. imagine the risk of spending 10$ in those days for a fourteen year old on a saturday . With the best take of Percy's Song in low tone harmonica that enters your soul! And I'll Keep It With Mine on a honkytonk piano i believe! First time i heard it..
Birmingham Town Hall had superb acoustics. I saw many great concerts there. Not this one unfortunately.

Are all or most of "Don't Look Back"'s soundboard recordings available somewhere?
Yes. They were released on the The Copyright Collection: 1965. Unfortunately, they were only released in a few thousand copies and only digitally as an add on for the The Cutting Edge: Collector’s Edition. I might upload the entire collection someday on Vimeo. It’s great to have. If you haven’t checked it out already, I’ve uploaded most of a 1965 concert. On my playlists.
