I'm in veterinary medicine but it is no different. As a 5th year student, I had to scratch a surgeons nose, rearrange his glasses, sort through a pile of actual trash to see whether he had lost something and then was asked why I wasn't enjoying the music visibly. He would call their name over and over and over again. I really hope this doesn’t end with Psychiatry tossing up his notes before walking out. 😂 Surgery seems like the kind to wear on a person’s last nerve.

When i was training... Yes.. Gen surg here (BIG brain..) i worked for a really sweet guy who owned a bed and breakfast called "Fothergill's" (hello David!) Unfortunately, the lady who ran it normally was on holiday and so he had a bluetooth ear piece on during surgery to answer the phone for bookings...yes.... And during an operation he said "Hello, Fothergill's"... The scrub nurse sent the runner off to look for the "Fothergill's" retractor. About 5 mins later the scrub nurse really nervously said "I'm sorry we can't find it".... It was very funny.
However, yes I've worked for some absolute douches during my time but too be fair some absolute gems too. I want to be a gem... I'm trying!
