All good stuff. Hive can be a bit intimidating at first, especially to those who didn't grow up using command line interface (showing my age here), Windows sucks as a mining platform, so make the effort to learn Hive or one of the other Linux based platforms. One other tip, sometime a hard reset is the only solution to a down rig. Wifi enabled smart plugs are a great way to reset a rig when at work or otherwise away from the farm. Sure beats texting the wife and having her try to reboot a rig. From personal experience, that can be a nightmare.
I never could get it to work right so I gave up and I used Linux from 1998-2006 then again 2017-2019. I would rather just use Linux and the miner than hive os middle man.
I use a $12 5v/12v inching wifi switch for mine. Plug it right into the power switch pinout on the motherboard and I can press the button from an app on my phone. Super convenient and you don't have to worry about causing a voltage spike like you would with a smart plug.
@@Nick-ds6oc I dont understand? What are you switching off remotely with your switch? HiveOS has always had remote power on/off/off w/reboot of rig and it also has always had remote options for miner such as stop/restart. I cant get anyone to explain why they need these wifi switches and what they do for you?
Great video 👍. I’m trying to figure out how to properly make a flight sheet so it fills in backup pools 1 & 2 that are on different pools and wallet info is that possible. When I create a flight sheet for my miner I don’t see where to add additional urls and username/address can you add maybe multiple wallets to a flight sheet? Also do you know why my local GUI shows 3 unknown addresses that are showing Alive and accepting work on top of the priority 0 the one I actually put in the others show up with just X, XX, XXX?

I have a question, I am using HiveOS latest version and i have installed only 2 GPU gtx 1070 and rtx 2070. but for some reason I am unable to select power limit lower than 125 W for 2070 and 90W for 1070. I have seen many videos people have set it for 65,70,75. what can be a problem ? whenever I put PL on lower than its min PL then it says fail NVidia oc settings. PL Limit for RTX 2070 is 125 and 90W for GTX 1070

Great question, and the best answer is 1) listen to the community, videos, forums, etc... 2) test 3) Check the requirements as there may be a specific driver version or above you need to be at to run a specific card.
IF you update the drivers in HIVE OS and you have 3060 that can only mine with developer driver will it mine at full speed or should you keep the developer driver for 3060s?
I've been having issues with HiveOS not showing me Wattage, Core, Mem, etc. for my 3gigabyte GTX 660. It does mine UBQ at 13MHs, but the fan is stuck at 43%. And temps are around 72. I can make adjustments from the display drivers directly, but not from HiveOS. I've tried various drivers old and new. PO is stuck on 3. Does anyone have any feedback? MOBO ASROCK B550 MicroITX-AC. CPU Ryzen 5950X. GSKILL RAM. Thanks!

I'm new to mining. I have started up a new rig on HiveOS. I'm running for now 2 x Gainward phantom GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB LHR GPU's on the ASRock H110 Pro BTC + motherboard. I have flash the software and started the rig up. After start up and on the screen plugged into the motherboard it show my GPU's but next to it it show malfunction. I don't seems to get it right to start mining. Any idea what I did wrong or what I need to check and do please.
So if it is booting all the way up, and you can see the card in the Hive GUI but you are getting an error, I'd check the drivers and make sure you are running the latest for the 3080.
Thanks for the tips! I have been using Windows, but recently tried Hive today. It seems pretty cool, but I am having trouble with my Nvidia 2070 and 1660 cards taking my settings. They wont go down in power level like I want. I think it will be a great system once that is figured out along with overclocks
2 problems i faced in hiveos is there mostly 15 mins gap in the hashrate and 2nd thing u cant do aggresive overclocking like windows ....it will crash and dont start mining after restart....so i switched to windows
Hey, take a look at the hashrate watchdog. In there is the minimum accepted share rate. I actually haven't used it until you just brought it up. Just set it in my rigs. Thanks for the push :) !!!

Why every time I’ve added a new gpu all the OC get mixed up? Every time I select ETH largement pill for my 1080 all of my other cards get that as well in the OC screen. The commands for the “FAQ” section on the dashboard have always been a “try and see what happens” I feel like I could be a lot more effective at using everything if I had a better understanding of what some of those help with. I'm tying to downgrade NVidia Drivers to 460.39 to use with LOL miner, to boost 3060 hash-rate.... Update always STUCK at the END on "STARTING SERVICES......." then Worker goes OFFLINE and whatever I do it's not coming back online, Unless I reinstall NEW /Current NVidia Drivers?? Tried 3 times already.. Not Sure What causing this, But I cannot get NVIDIA Driver Downgrade, as after update, SERVICES NOT STARTING.. What to do? Anyone have similar problem? Thanks.

Your Watchdog hashrate min is 350 H/s not MH/s. For other HIVEOS noobs like me, click the little side-tick/arrow next to H/s to up the rate past KH/s to MH/s

I have a question about accepted/rejected shares and their counts/%. Where do I find these details?
I usually check poolside but accepted shares will show at the top beside the rig name when you have that rig selected.

My first guess would be drivers. Try updating them -or- flash the drive with the latest image.
