    Oh, do they, Dom.
    Do they really. Lol! :-)
    Those spring clips are an utter swine, hence the crimped one you found on the back of the panel.
    Great video and presentation, mate. :-)

      I remember the first time I tried doing a door trim years ago. I broke every clip 😂 they are so counter intuitive and nothing is easy. Front ones are not much better either.
      Knowing where the clips are though does help a lot. And of course fat blokes with big beards showing you the tricks of the trade on a badly filmed TH-cam clip
      Thanks for the support as always mate

    My driver's side seat belt has stopped winding back up fully. Is there a quick fix for that?

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Likely a new belt as probably failed mechanism. Pull it all the way out of it doesn’t wind back in then likely the clock spring has failed

    I've got really slack passenger side seat belts, barely any spring return on it at all. I've been thinking about replacing but it seems an awful lot of effot and I'd likely damage the trim. However, some red seat belts would be lovely!

    • @TheParrottBros
      @TheParrottBros  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately there is quite a bit involved, but it will be well worth it and read seatbelts would be pretty epic, apologies for the lateness in my reply I'm sure you've probably already got them out now

      @@TheParrottBros nah, not done anything with the seat belts. I've had 2 defective lines on the dashpod LCD for years now and not sorted that. It'll be another 5 years for the seat belts even if I can find a source of red ones!

    Just an idea for a video - since you're taking off the trim inside the cabin anyway, could you take extra video clips and photos of where it would be possible to fit some more sound deadening material to reduce the road noise in the cabin? Perhaps a sound-insulation mod? Haven't seen this discussed much on the forums, just a thought

    Nicely done sir, i love those seats and steering wheel, and grey rear cards look nice especially in leather. I fixed my flap/catches with some epoxy resin glue....it wasn't easy to get to as i didn't take the seats out...bit of a nightmare job in situ (lots of cramp!) but its done and they both work, first aid kit has some fresh neurophen and paracetamol ;) CD player won't load about 3 disks so looking at modern alternative! Have you changed your wheels too or did I just not notice them before?

      @@TheParrottBros I'll write back about how it went once we fit them to the car no worries thanks for the quick reply. I'm suspecting they won't be needed since the main reason for a spacer is to protect the speaker from water and the window going down in the door.

I tried a number - in the end I got the dremel out on a draper and trimmed it so it would fit - narrowing the circumference and under the neck - the car's finally back together again - seats out is definitely the way to go - I'm impressed and annoyed at how well the door cards are clipped in - the metal clips definitely provide a better hold than plastic trim clips
