please tell me someone warned Gitana to put a few boxes of tissue on her coffee table ... I see no one did. Don't you worry about one tear dropped to this song Mrs. Gitana. I'm 55 years old, and the first time I heard this song I was 8. I cried to this song all those years ago and every time I've heard it since. I became a Trucker, due in large part to this song. Just seemed to me they were the type of folk I wouldn't mind working with for the rest of my days. For the most part, that is as true as it gets.
"Teddy Bear" is one of several songs that Red Sovine did in the mid to late 1970's about Semi-Truck Drivers (Lorry Drivers) who drive cross-country. I had this particular song on an old 45 and listened to it on an old record player in my bedroom growing up in the mid to late 70's and LOVED it, I always had the same reaction.
Red Sovine (rhymes with Divine) was a singer of trucker and tearjerker songs. This was far and away the best one he ever did, and he had some good ones. He appeared more than once on Hee Haw, and if you know the era, that's a signal honor for a country artist of the 70s and 80s.

That is a great song. I grew up listening to country music because it is real. Everyone can relate to a country song because it's real human emotions that everyone experiences at some point in their life.
I've loved Red Sovine since I was a kid so probably for 45 or so years. This song, little Joe, Giddy-up go, phantom 309, roses for mama, on and on. Great reaction and I would love to see more reactions to Red's songs.
I heard/watched this video for the first time in my 61 years of life tonight. As a trucker for over forty years, my eyes, nose and throat didn’t stand a chance because my dad taught me to drive truck and as I grew up, I was riding at his side more than my fair share. My younger brother was severely physically handicapped and the only way he could ride with pops then was with my pops lifting him up and helping him back down from the cab. Then I saw your page and was curious about your reaction. Seems we all know a story well, right down to the tears of the memories. I thought I was the only softie but by looking at fellow commenters, I’m in good company here on your channel. New Sub 😀👋
I don't think there are many people who don't tear up when listening to this song. It's one of those songs (like "Christmas Shoes) that I can't listen to while driving. I suddenly can't see the road. Sovine, is actually pronounced like "so fine".
If I not mistaken, the biggest hit by Red Sovine was Phantom 309 (1967) but surface back on the charts around 1975 with the surge of popularity in truck driver songs.
Loved this reaction, Gitana! I haven't heard this one in a very long time. I cried too! I think that is why people suggest tear jerkers for you - they want to cry with you, even if they aren't listening to it at the same time. You have a wonderful soul! Amber nale this song is one of the best songs I've ever heard because it reminds me of just how I nearly lost my dad in a tragic truck 🚚accident he was driving a gasoline ⛽tanker truck and he passed out behind the wheel in the truck's cab when awful smelling fumes from the truck's exhaust came up through the rust hole 🕳in the floorboard of the truck near the gear ⚙shifter he was hauling just over 1,872 gallon's of gasoline ⛽ the tanker truck and tank trailer loaded with 1,872 gallon's of gasoline ⛽ after he passed out from the smell of the fumes he flipped the tanker-truck over the truck he was driving was struck by 8 vehicles but thank God that the truck he was driving didn't end up bursting into flames 😢he could've been killed but I guess that God was on my dad's side, my dad retired from driving a truck and then on September 14,2004 he sadly 😢passed away from both mouth and skin cancer 😢 he went home to be with my mother in heaven forever&beyond were they will be forever and beyond and I know that when my time comes to cross over into heaven because I have excepted christ as my savior I know that I will be in God's safe and loving arms in heaven forever&beyond were my parents are and I will also see 👀all the loved-ones and friends as well as the pets who are at the rainbow Bridge just waiting for me in heaven forever&beyond when my time comes to leave this world 🌎and cross over into heaven, and like the last word's in this song titled:teddy bear say 😢 may God ride with you 10-4 and goodbye 😢 I do very much love this song titled:teddy bear by: red sovine but Amber nale please listen to teddy bear's last ride you will love it 😢but this song will also bring you to tears 😢when you listen to it red sovine is now gone but his music, like the song's 1:teddy bear 2:teddy bear's last ride 3:phantom 309 and rose's for mama 😢another song that will bring even more tears to your eyes and like gitana adelle say's these song's by the late red sovine are some of the most and best story telling song's that red sovine has ever done and like the last word's of this song happen to say I'm gonna back on out of here before I start to cry 10-4 and good-bye.
I'm a young man and I grew up with the old stuff. Red sovine wrote all of his music and most of them were ballads. Some of the old western music that I enjoyed for all these great singers. Tennessee stud was probably one of my favorites. As I say I'm a young man I'm only 46 and to this day I still listen to this old stuff thank goodness for serious XM radio
I loved to see your reaction to this old and more obscure song. Thanks to whoever recommended it. You asked in another video if you would be accepted as country. In my opinion, as an old Texas boy, who's listened to classic country since the 70's, absolutely.
When you said there were a lot of requests for this one, I knew your fans wanted to see you cry. This one is a big tearjerker. Red's voice is perfect for the song.

Thank you for reacting to Red Sovine. Love all your reactions
Every time I hear this song, I fight back the tears. Great reaction
I was a kid when this came out (yes i am old!)... It was one of the best story telling real country songs ever done. Thanks!
Also John Michael Montgomery - the little girl. It's really good
Red had several tear-jerker as they used to call them. Great reaction.
i had a cb radio
I loved to see your reaction to this old and more obscure song. Thanks to whoever recommended it. You asked in another video if you would be accepted as country. In my opinion, as an old Texas boy, who's listened to classic country since the 70's, absolutely.
I love it when people discover these wonderful old songs. Peace and love to everyone from Old Greg!
Dont feel to bad, I heard this several times, and I cry each time I listen.
Thx! I grew up with this song, but watching your reaction is what teared me up! Great reaction! Terry, Canoga Park
Grew up hearing Red from my parents. I still can't listen without crying. I had not heard it in many years. Thank you
Roses for Mama is another great song of Red's you must do ! ! !
When you said there were a lot of requests for this one, I knew your fans wanted to see you cry. This one is a big tearjerker. Red's voice is perfect for the song.
Red Sovine was amazing. Another great tune that is also a tear jerker is Little Rosa
One of my all time favorite songs from him. He actually has a sequel to that song.
I've listened to this song for years! it brings a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes every time. I've been driving trucks for 30 years! it still gets me...
Greetings from Fort Worth, TX.
My dad used to love this artist before he passed away. And of course I do too. All are great recommendations but my two favorites are “Little Rosa” and the one about Santa and a little boy!!!! You absolutely have to react to that one!!!!!
Love your reactions, keep up the good work!!!!
This is one of those songs that only the soulless leaves without a tear.
CWMacall😮Convoy both songs are great 😸😃
