Chopin and Liszt were actually friends. I read that once, I believe around 1830 or something in Paris, Chopin was playing his own pieces, then Liszt tried to play one of them, but modifying a bit the nuances, which REALLY angered Chopin, who began replaying his pieces and humiliating Liszt. But a few days after, when he was about to play them again, Liszt told him to ask for the lights to be turned off, then he took his places and played every single pieces Chopin played last time and no one recognized Liszt. When he was done, he would've told that Liszt can play Chopin's work, but could Chopin play Liszt music ? or somthing similar. I read that in a biography of Chopin a few years ago so I might have got some details wrong but that's basically how it happened

Chopin pieces sound heavenly to the ear, liszt sound insane and epic. Hard to choose.
The two Grandmasters of piano.

My favorit of chopin is op 64 no 2 :)
(The next its bethoven vs chopin? :D)
I really enjoy these, I currently use virtual piano's and when I go to my aunt's(who has a piano) I play random keys(?) or Easy peices. I am learning Fur Elise right now.
Chopin: "Worldwide fame is..."
Me: *runs away from the computer*
I think Liszt deserve more attention in general :)
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
Liszt and Chopin: probably friends
TH-camrs:Liszt vs Chopin (epic battle) MUST WATCH!!!!!! (not clickbait) the get alive again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOMMMGGG

It’s true that Chopin pieces is more popular but Liszt pieces is just as good, but it’s just not popular because it’s too hard for normal humans to play, it’s only the real pianists hat can play them so normal people barely play and listen to his pieces
Me: Is going to the grocery store
Mom: Wait let me just give you my CHOPIN LISTZ
(I'm sorry)
NO IT'S FUNNY
1:13 - 1:37 - Nocturne in E flat Major, No.2 Op.9 - Chopin
1:41 - 2:09 - Transcendental Etude No. 5 - Liszt - Hardest Etude out of all others
2:13 - 2:40 - Fantaisie Impromptu - Chopin - frequently performed and popular compositions
2:44 - 4:09 - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 - Liszt
That’s all I know 😂😂😂
Franz Liszt vs Sergei Rachmaninoff
Two composers who had really big hands.
Compare their pieces not the size of their hands
Liszt had regular sized hands but just could reach really far
@haga fun wrong
@@laarnib.monterola7028 Alan walker wrote a book on it

It's not a sonata, one of the last of variations of his Etude No
6 from his Etudes d' Exécution Trascendante d' Après Paganini
The piece of Hungarian Rhapsody is actually a Tom and Jerry reference when you think about it.
In the episode "Cat at the Concerto", Tom plays that said piece, while Jerry is busy trying to put up with him.
Chopin will always be my favourite but the piece that I'm in love with the most in music is un sospiro
Next Battle : Paganini VS Liszt
Two different instruments, but make it possible :)
Awaaaa I have headphones reverberated to the max and this beginning is so loud if I am from Poland and walking with an interpreter. Best regards, have a nice day / night
2:33 he said bad word
What does that mean?
When will the next battle emerge?
I think Chopin win 🏆
1:26 : Thats absolutely hilarious, more composer battles please!!!!!!!!
Rachmaninoff VS Liszt? That would be so awesome!
Rach vs Ravel :O
@@Un-homme-avec-raison or debussy vs ravel :0
Rachaminoff would win

It’s Hungarian rhapsody no 2
Next : Traum Piano vs Barbaro Mr.
or mereaux vs alkan
I think we can agree that Liszt pieces are more demanding and harder than Chopins, tho if we look at music as an art Chopin ''did everything in solo Piano'' as Debussy said and his pieces are more 'magical'. Anyway couldn't be happier that 2 GOATS of piano are Polish and Hungarian! Polak Węgier dwa bratanki!
“Chopin is the greatest of all,” Debussy said. “For with the piano alone he discovered everything.”
@@darkhafgor "Thalberg may be the first pianist in the world, but Liszt is the only one."
-Princess Belgiojoso
@@therealrealludwigvanbeethoven What does this quote have to do with anything, I was just giving the full quote from debussy that this guy was talking about to give full context.
@@darkhafgor It means that Liszt was one of the greatest; and that Chopin is not necessarily the greatest merely because Debussy said so.
@@therealrealludwigvanbeethoven No offence to 'Princess Belgiojoso', but the opinion of a composer as highly rated as debussy is worth more than hers
1:05 oh no...
In 2:44 what music is it?
Can you guys think who's playing that pieces of them?
It's the channel owner

3:15 very nostalgic
If you mentioned S.140/4b
Then liszt would win cuz it is the hardest piece.
I like how people aren’t putting their opinions of who won lol
I think Liszt won
