I love how the blue, green, gold side looks like an abalone shell; I definitely want to play with my metallic acrylics to try this out (I don't have any inks though, so maybe I will try to thin the acrylic paint with a flow or airbrush medium -- what do you think Jackie?)
Go for it! I think thinning it out airbrush medium is a genius idea. With water, I think you might need to be careful how thin you go, but please experiment and let me know how it goes for you, MC. 😀
All I can say is WOW!! ❤❤❤
Thank you very much, Claudia! 💜
Beautiful! I've watched this video several times, and each time I'm wowed by the depth of color. I play primarily with watercolor & pastel; now I'm thinking I might need to get some acrylics, lol.
I'm so glad this one captured you - based on that, one might really like next week's video 😉 Acrylics are a lot of fun, and for many of us - quite addictive. I highly recommend giving it a whirl, Stacey. 🥰
Wow! Stunning! I will be pulling out my metallics. Thank you for sharing. I love your work.
Thank you, Patricia! I hope you have as much foun with your metallics as I did 🥰
That was amazing!!!
Hi Joyce - metallics are amazing - they almost always make the "WOW" factor inevitable. Thank you for being here. 🥰
❤❤❤🙏
simply magnifiscent ! You are a joy to watch!
Thank you for watching and for your very kind words, Valerie. 🥰
Wow! EPIC video Jackie. This would make awesome backgrounds too. You make me feel brave and want to try things out. Thank you ❤
Go Charlotte! I think you are right; the metallics would make gorgeous backgrounds in the right projects 🥰
Absolutely STUNNING!
Thank you, Deborah! 😀
Such pretty results!
Thank you, Lisa! 😀
I do love bling! You need some gold leaf! 😂❤
One order of gold leaf coming up 😀 Yep, keep your eyes peeled, it's coming 🥰
Wow🌞I love it🌟
Thank you, Inger! 😀
beautiful!
Thank you very much, Madison! 🥰
New subscriber! Fascinating art work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Candace - it's nice to see you here 😀
Loving all the layers of metallics in this one 5:43 !!
Thank you, Rory! 💜
I've got to tell you my most favorite part of your videos. It's when something turns out unexpectedly and at the same time awesome. You're big smile is contagious 😁 I'm so happy that I found your channel. Your first video in the recent color study popped up in my recommended videos and I've been hooked ever since 😍😍
Thank you Kricket - I'm so happy that you're here too! 💜
Powertex makes a “cold” wax that can be used with acrylics. It’s a very unique and fun product to play with and, I believe it is archival.
Oh my goodness...oh my goodness - I'm going to have to get some and start experimenting. Thanks, Kate! 🥰
I watched this video with my mouth open. Truly Jackie, that was miraculous! I share your love for metallics and have already used gold and silver and some acrylmetallics are waiting for the use, but what you show here, is another dimension. I am so happy to have found you and take part in your experimental artjourney. You´re the best 🥰 Love, Britta
With gold and silver you have the making for pure metallic joy - have fun with it, Britta! 🥰
That was absolutely stunning Jackie. The depth of colour you achieved and the incredible shine on both pages was fabulous. I admit I never thought you could bring it back from the dark side but boy did you achieve something spectacular. Im going to get my metallics out now and have a play. Thank you for sharing your enjoyment of your 'play' with us all.
Thank you very much, Susi! I will also admit that I wasn't sure I could pull it off but was so happy that I pushed through. Have a wonderful time playing with your metallics! 🥰
Metallics make me happy too 😀.
Beautiful Jackie! Love the layers and depth. The light that shines from the darkness. Gorgeous 🤩.
Look forward to the next glowing Autumnal instalment. 🍄💛🍄
Thanks Andrea! I love "the light that shines from the darkness" - it's so true in many many ways 🥰
how do you clean the badger brush?
Great question Sheri. While I'm working with the badger brush I am constantly wiping off wet paint from the bristles onto a shop town. When I'm done for the day, I get the bristles wet, use a tiny bit of Murphy's Oil Soap and then use a bush comb to work the soap through the bristles. Rinse all the soap out and air dry the brush (upside down if you can). That's it. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, but when I get back I will try to do a short video on how to take care of the badger brush - it is such an investment! 🥰
FYI. some of your links are not working for those in other countries. the Badger brush and silicon shapers are not working.
I'm in U.S. and they are not working
Lu, thank you for letting me know. I have replaced the links - I'm not sure what country you are in or if they will work there. If the new links don't work for you, please let me know.
Hi Kathy, thank you for replying. I have put new links in for those two items. Please let me know if they work for you.
@@PaintedPaperStudioThanks, working now. Your videos are so terrific! In addition to how fantastic your papers are the production values are so well done. The voice over is really effective. Your enthusiasm is infectious and authentic.
WOW!@@kathyfaraone4345 - what a beautiful comment - you just made my Saturday (and maybe my whole week) 🥰
