Great episode! As a beginner myself, I appreciate the pace of your videos and your self-awareness of your own skill level. I enjoy learning along with you.
Great video. Glad you are posting more content. Keep it up. The wiring part was really good and was the best explaination for DCC without overcomplicating anything.
Happy to see you're back and the new content! I took a hiatus on mine earlier in the year as well, but I'm in the track laying stage and I happen to have the same DCC setup, so these new videos are a huge help! Also, love seeing Binx!
Smooth running, from smooth planning! Isn't it a great feeling seeing it all come together? I love the tank cars but my favourite at the moment are the intermodal well cars - I have heaps of them! Keep the videos coming! 👍
Great video of your continuing progress you've made! Glad to see you back on here. Thanks for showing your wiring process to give me ideas of whats in store for myself! Layout is really shaping up nicely and im glad i finally decided i wanted a shelf layout for switching. Hope you're doing well and hope you have a great day! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
4:27 Funny how you had a BN & CN striped Canadian cab in the yard since CN had a pair in Brantford for the whole summer. The BN unit was 2098 and the CN unit was 9547 if you’re interested in finding pictures online.
If you care about CVs then look in the manual (the blue one ) and it has a ton of good different horns to choose from , I know this because i have the same loco , Love your videos man !!! Rail on my friend.
Nice to see your layout continue to grow. What part of the US are you basing your layout on? Maybe you could create an industry that requires chemicals so you can use those sweet looking tank cars.
Flex tracks and manual switch Walthers code 83, HO scale. Tank cars. Enginers figures. Atlas super saw. The 😺walking in the layout. Scooby bark to the 😺. Is a dog. The dogs no like the 😺. Talking dog. Great Dane. Brown with black spots.
You will have to do a little wiring depending on the size of your layout. The bigger the layout the more wiring. It’s not too bad just takes a little practice and learning! I learned a lot from TH-cam myself
It is expensive sadly but you could always get a starter set which can still be expensive but you get everything you need! Also eBay can have some good deals sometimes
@TopRailroad oh I know. But I'd rather be like Adam gomez from Adam's family lol Maybe even blow up a train bridge on it haha. We'll maybe not that but some nice scenery etc.
I still havent got it. Maybe its not the right instagram. Make sure its just "toprailroad" on insta. You may have to request it on there but im not sure @@johnbowyer5519

Thank you!
A lot of your videos will prove very useful when I start my model railroad
just discovered this channel, cant wait to see how the layout grows
Great video. Glad you are posting more content. Keep it up. The wiring part was really good and was the best explaination for DCC without overcomplicating anything.
Thank you very much!
It’s really coming together. Can’t wait for future updates!
Nice video mate. Good to see the rest of the track laid and the wiring done. Now the fun part can begin scenery! Nice new tank wagons too. - Nicholas.
Exactly! Scenery is far more creative and fun lol. Thanks man!

Love the layout, can’t wait to see the other videos
Great progress keep it up.
Great channel, maybe next time show more of the controller function. Next item on my wishlist.
Pretty good, your more experienced then me, I am very nervous when it comes to this stuff, good job, can't wait to see what the next episode will be.
It's coming along nicely 👍👍
Thank you!
Excellent track plan very nice 👍 😊 !! Thanks 😊

great job, dont stop working
I won’t! 😁
Glad to see you made the switch to code 83, its a subtle but great difference.
Looking good. Cannot wait for future videos.
Love it.
Enjoyed the video! The Locomotive sounds awesome.
I like your model railroad.
Fantastic job and easy for my grandson to understand. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you man! And your welcome! I think a shelf layout for switching is a rockin choice
Great to see you back working on your layout. Nice new stuff too! Clean wiring set up.
Much appreciated! 😁
I fixed the tracks with nails in my N scale layout.
Atlas and Bachmann code 80.
Yessir, I'm working on my train layout too. It's likely going to be a floor layout. I'll be using HO scale Kato unitrack and also an nce powercab.
Nice! The NCE Powercab is awesome
@@TopRailroadoh yeah.
This layout is looking great now subbed 👌
Thank you!
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Great job you make it look easy.
Should look into the Smart booster as well, it was probably one of the best investments for my layout or even a small switching layout

Wow that’s cool, makes my setup a little more prototypical. I’ll try to find the pictures!

Love it-thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
Nice one!
Thank you! 😁

Oh okay I’ll look into to that! Thanks for the tip 😎
@@TopRailroad No problem man
Are you planning to keep the layout as a switching layout or make it bigger? The layout seems very nice
It’ll get bigger once I get farther along with these first 2 sections. Eventually it will be a full loop
@@TopRailroad 👍
Looks nice, that switch where the gondola is shoulda been a left not a right so the yard tracks coulda been closer together
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice to see your layout continue to grow. What part of the US are you basing your layout on? Maybe you could create an industry that requires chemicals so you can use those sweet looking tank cars.
It’ll be basing it on Colorado!

A visit from Binx, the "Supervisor", you mean.
Hello Binks!
Back yet again
Where did you order from?
Lombard Hobbies :)
Great video! Do you plan on doing block signaling at all? That would be super cool
Thanks man, and yeah I would like too but I’ll have to do my research first cause I have no clue how that fully works 😂
@@TopRailroad It's fairly complicated stuff, that's for sure
@@BNSF1458 Oh gosh 😂
@@TopRailroad Worth it though
If you want good Cat ho scale equipment diecast masters is awesome detail!
I’ll have to check them out thank you!
Awesome video, 9433 looks Stout. One question, what not solder buss with feeders? Just curious.
Thank you! And you could solder them I suppose but using the suitcase connectors saves a lot of time
When you go backwards it’s 3 honks
I wonder when i saw notification that u uploadeda video
Me:finally
😁😁
Is there a reason why you don’t use cork or other roadbed? Enjoying your videos!
I guess it’s just my preference, but I may use it for the mainline on the next sections.
If you look up Die Cast masters they have really nice HO scale Construction Vehicles
I’ll have to check them out!
Why aren't you putting down any roadbed?
Idk I just never liked using it haha I know it’s more prototypical so I might use it for the mainline on the next sections
Love u from india❤
❤️❤️
Hi bro. I have some athearn undecorated single dome tank cars. I made some operation lifesaver cars out of them. I'm gonna make more of them to sell.
Nice! No road bed coming soon?
Not for this portion of the layout. I may do the main line on roadbed on the other sections though
Are you thinking of following a consistent upload schedule or more just whenever you feel/as progress is made?
I’m gonna to try to do every other Monday but sometimes the editing takes a long time which is why it’s posted today instead
@@TopRailroad I totally get it. I edit myself. No pressure just simply curious. I'm excited to see what comes next. Good luck!

Do I need to wire my track for this to work?
You will have to do a little wiring depending on the size of your layout. The bigger the layout the more wiring. It’s not too bad just takes a little practice and learning! I learned a lot from TH-cam myself
@@TopRailroad Thanks dude!
What brand is your loco?
It’s a Athearn Genesis
😎👍🏼
Where is the cork.
I won’t be using it on this section of the layout
My HO layout engine operation from 57 years ago was not that smooth. Great realistic technology.
I would love even at my age to setup a train set. But you can spend hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars. That is a killer for me
It is expensive sadly but you could always get a starter set which can still be expensive but you get everything you need! Also eBay can have some good deals sometimes
@TopRailroad oh I know. But I'd rather be like Adam gomez from Adam's family lol
