There's no satisfaction like absolutely dragging someone in a GTI. It's a lose lose situation: you win, congrats bro you beat a GTI. YOU LOSE, HAHAHA YOU GOT SMOKED BY AN EGG.
My man… you have got to drop more GTI content. I get so bored tryna find good GTI vids and end up rewatching yours dawg. Love the whip as always and hope all is well
AND WE ARE BACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! Damn bro i have been fwaiting on ur GTI Content. I LOVE All your videos man good shit as always! my favorite were the M2 and the Vette....those were close and exciting. As for the honda civic u race, that was a waste of E85 imo hahahahaha....overall great shit man. Kepp up the great content, i'm definately looking forward to the next one.
I think the Corvette was more concerned at the timing of his hazard light button push, than he was about actually getting a decent run. Any concerns with Vortex XL life span? The Mambatek GTX3071R I hear is basically equivalent but with ball bearings rather than sleeve.
if youre lookin for a toy, definitely look into the RS3 or RS4, theyre probably the same price as a mustang GT where you are, and they will out-pace them stock. a Golf R (step up from the GTI) has AWD and 333hp just like the S3, but in a slightly smaller package, much more track-oriented, and will match a mustang GT from the factory, and with nothing but a tune, will put them to shame. Mod for mod, they will win until you get into very heavily modified cars, pushing 1000hp+ .. I love how my car passes all the NA american muscle cars (minus a viper or corvette, hardly american muscle, more supercar anymore) And its only got a 2.0t in it. These are some of the most under-rated cars on the market, for quick/fun daily cars. AWD helps keep it practical year-round, as we typically get 8 feet+ of snow every year. Theyre a lot of fun in the snow, and theyre only getting better. a Brand new, 333hp golf 8.5 wont even run 50k
@CloudyMcRowdy I like the RS3 and 4, but unfortunately, the insurance is crazy for a 22 year old with 4 years of no claims. The s3 also beats the Golf R for me again because of insurance by about £1000 but also, they're just nicer to look at imo. The mustang will always be a dream car for me as i grew up with a poster of a 67 fastback on the wall but as a fast daily a 2018 S3 just suits me perfectly right now and I live 30 mins away from Ecotune who are tuning the fastest vags in the UK right now which is always a bonus. Definitely appreciate the perspective though, hopefully one day have an RS4 and a mustang side by side on the driveway lol
5.0 Coyote is the best V8 for making power, has a reputation for killing most everything with healthy turbo systems, but it's going to cost more to get into than the EA888 powertrains. S3 is probably better at speed if roll racing is your deal, due to less drag than the Golf R hatchback design, all else being equal.
Wow, some really good runs in this one! The M2 was really good match. He had some serious power. The Vette was good comp for you also! What was at 11:27 Looked like fireworks. Wonder what happened with the Subaru?
Fym mild tune??? The thing is bolt on and running on e30 race fuel. Hilarious they need all that to break 500hp. Slap a decent turbo on a Honda 4 cyl with some e85 and you will make 600+ with 50% smaller engine. Bmw engines are crazy intheir own right but take to much for decent power
@ e30 is mild bro , welcome to the car scene.. e30 is also not race fuel 😂 these newer bmws make 600 hp on e30.. which is 100 more hp than jewels. All it needs is a downpipe & that’s it.. no need for fueling upgrades unlike 4 cylinders that need fuel pumps/port injection etc.. I also have a 500 hp gti & would probably lose to that m2 as well. “Take too much for decent power” didn’t know that a downpipe & an email was considered a lot
@@jackhofalot6705 BMWs are notorious for not requiring hardly anything to make big power bro. Also like Ariel said, e30 is not race gas and even e85 is on the low end of the race gas range. This is quite mild for a BMW, especially an S58
How is the spool at part throttle when daily driving? Like getting onto the highway etc, do you have to swing the revs to 3500+ to get any action from the turbo? I like that my is38 makes boost at like 2300 rpm when im in 4th 5th 6th and i can pass without downshifting
@@Carguylogan part throttle from a red light feels like stock. Merging on the highway I’d say 3k+ rpm’s is enough to get you up to speed. This wont feel like is38 in the mid range, but makes up for it at 4k+ RPM
Been watching for years, and don’t know why I’m just now asking. But does the manual have longer gears or was that from tuning or ? (Feel like it revs out longer than most, allowing power to still be put down)
The 6 speed manual just has longer gearing vs the dsg. Its just how it was made and vw hasn’t changed it ever since it was first made. It does rev out longer but on stock turbo, torque falls off past 6100rpm (atleast on eqt’s dyno sheet) so shifting by then is recommended
Do you always use E85, or only when you go to Mexico? Also, for a camera, I recommend trying the Osmo Action 3 or 4 if you can. They are really good! I shot a video on my channel; I'm not a TH-camr-I do it for fun. These cameras do not overheat like a GoPro, and they have an option that allows you to enable the LEDs without flickering in your videos.
until the civic gets into the "might blow up at any point" range, itll lose, mod for mod. I have a few type R's where I live, and my bone-stock golf R walks all of them. And the modified SI's and RSX's. 300hp in a golf is like 400hp in other cars, because VW doesnt exaggerate their hp numbers, if anything the cars are given lower numbers. Doesnt make sense that 292hp in my mk7 perfectly matches a mustang GT of the same year with 480hp, theyre the same weight. Usually rolling, grip isnt an issue for the mustangs, and they still dont go anywhere lmao.

those eggs are fast. ran a random GTi and he was on my sti's quater panel the whole race. definitely made more than 5xxhp lol
@papast7179 STIs are slow for their power though. 415 whp cars trapping 112 mph etc. My GTI trapped 117 mph on 318 whp.
The corvette wouldn't run the race all the way out and kept putting the hazards on immediately to cocky
1 second race, yeah NA have better response the turbo won't even run fill boost in that time. Got pull a full gear at least
Finally back to your roots.
Both cars are mqb 😏 we never left
As a mark seven GTI owner this has become my favorite channel. Keep posting the videos brother I love it!

To make it the definitive sleeper, I would put four wheel covers and the tdi logo on the tailgate 🤣
Everyone puts wheels on their golfs so doesn't really indicate sports car. Tdi badge could be a good idea tho

Thanks for dragging the ol' girl out tonight, Jewels! Always love your content. That truck is serious, high speed, low drag operator style. ;)

E85 has an octane equivalent of about 100-105, so long as the ethanol content is actually about 85%, which will vary from pump to pump.
@14:08 that’s not a CTS V by the way it’s a ATS V twin turbo 3.6L V6 just a heads up @JewelCity

There’s something off with type r that has the g25 660, that turbo can make well over 575whp on a cylinder head that flows worse the the CTR head.
Makes me wanna build my GTI as well 🔥🔥
Do it, I already dropped bread in MPI so I can end up going xl 😂
That M2 was freaking fast AF. Kudos to the Type R for tryna keep up lol...
S58 engine is stout. A couple bolt-ons and a tune, and they are really quick.
Yessir we back 🎉🎉🎉
Huge difference if it was dsg? Or ur goated at shifting?
that E30 was quick af
BMW S58 don’t play
How reliable is it when it's heavily modified?
inspired me for my build. Finally went vortex xl fbo golf r on 93
Which camera setup do you use that's tracking the cars while racing side by side?
Mod List ? Or is it still the same set up from the video You dropped a while back ?
Which car can turn with a good driver?
