- Chapter 7 cleared in 2 turns, leading to 22 turns so far in this maddening LTC by @keb4007 and me.
An extremely key chapter in this run, as both Alear and Chloe gain nearly more than 1.5 levels worth of exp.
This clear relies on Vander landing a 36% crit against the boss, and Yunaka landing a 17% crit against the boss. The former could be replaced with a Silver Axe+1, but we accidentally dropped it in the well. The well giveth, and the well taketh away. As mentioned in the video, the Iron Greataxe cav has to either cooperate in movement by attacking from the right, or Vander has to crit him before getting hit.
An interesting point of discussion is doing either Jean or Anna paralogue before this chapter, which will allow us to obtain a teleportation staff from the well. Chapter 7 could then be easily 1-turned with a warp/rewarp staff, and we would break even in total turns while obtaining an extra round of well drops. Unfortunately, at this point we don't see a way to 1-turn Jean or Anna paralogue immediately after Chapter 6. We were hopeful about Jean's paralogue, but in the end concluded that it might not be possible in the current version of the game. See the video description of • How (not) to clear Jea... for an explanation of the difficulty. 1-turning Chapter 7 would also cost Alear and Chloe a lot of exp relative to this 2-turn clear (despite the fact that we would get 3 extra arena). We are not confident that we would still be able to promote Alear and Chloe in time, if we did that.
