Yayyyy🥳 Taiping! My late grandparents humble abode! ❤️❣️ the tranquility, the FOOD, the people, the slow pace & the Waterfall!!!👏🏻🤸🏻♀️🏊🏼♀️ Unfortunately, due to the lockdown, haven't had the chance to return since 2019!!😥
Antong Coffee Mill looks awesome! Love how they use charcoal ovens to roast the coffee. Reminded us of when we went to the Kluang Coffee Factory in Johor.
Taiping is the most liveable place in Malaysia. If you had the opportunity to visit again, two other historic buildings you must visit are King Edward's and St George's schools.
Yeah, we had plans to see so much more of Malaysia after the first of the year, but the interstate travel ban changed those plans. Hopefully the Covid numbers in Malaysia will continue to improve and we can start exploring more of the country.
Taiping holds a special place in my heart as it is the hometown of my good friend! I am seriously considering retiring there as it is quiet , authentic and full of nature cum good food!
Next time if u visit Taiping again..U also can visit the nearest mountain 😊 Bukit Larut, formerly known as Maxwell Hill, is a popular highland destination in Malaysia. Located at an altitude of 1,250 m above sea level approximately 10 km from Taiping town in Perak; it is the wettest area in the country which experiences the highest rainfall. Bukit Larut is also home to the oldest hill station in Malaysia, built by William Edward Maxwell, a British Assistant Resident in Perak, in 1884 to provide a cool retreat for the colonial officials. In 1910, the hill resort was gazetted as a permanent forest reserve

I love following your adventures! The sunrises from Ipoh in your last video made me particularly nostalgic. If you have to be stuck in one state I’m glad it’s Perak! Of course, I’m biased after living in Kuala Kangsar tho! Can’t wait to see where y’all go next!
Thanks AJ. And thanks for sharing your experiences in Malaysia with us, it's been so helpful. We went out for roti canai yesterday morning and it made me remember the all the advice you gave us about food, places to go, etc. We never would have guessed we would be in Malaysia for over a year, but wouldn't have wanted to spend this past year anywhere else.
There's dolphin watching at Kuala Sepetang, I think you missed it (and oh, in Ipoh, on the outskirts, there's lovey dovey Banjaran, spa on the hills for you loving birds)
Yes, this is also why we are still in Perak. We want to visit other parts of Malaysia but can't right now. I hope the Covid situation continues to improve here in Malaysia.
Welcome to Taiping, i hope you two enjoyed your stay here. As a local from big city, i loved the environment at Taiping. Taiping is best know for it's peace and greenery.

Hi Snail Travelers, If one had to work in Taiping, where would you suggest that one would live? Ipoh, Taiping or Penang, bearing mind commuting times, amenities, and weather ? Couple only...
Very nice and interesting videos as always. Where would you both be heading to next? I dare bet with my life that it’s anywhere except Cameron Highlands. Most probably would be Pangkor Island. Plenty of hornbills there.
