Sometimes, I feel like I'm the ONLY one who gets nostalgic over this port. I still love it to death
Why does it matter that you're the only one? Does validation or acceptance mean anything in the long run? People hate a lot of games I love like this one and I don't even care to remember why.
Remember Wish races? This video would be 10 hours long if he showed all the possibilities...

Not as nostalgic as the N64 version. Although the DS one brought a few moderately interesting changes, this remake is a straight up downgrade of the original
Now, I never played this version of this game. The one I played was diddy kong racing for the Nintendo 64. But thanks for letting me hear songs from my childhood after all these years. Truly nostalgic.

There was Diddy Kong Racing for NDS??? 😮 I absolutely loved the N64 version! I must get this NOW! ☺️
I did not know that they added those Donkey kong level tracks in this game from the donkey kong racing game they cancel when Microsoft brought out Rare. I may play it just to play those levels.
Weirdly enough this is my favorite version of the game. The only complaints I have is the touch screen controls, and I do prefer the N64 colorful shading( I can let that slide since this is a DS)

I kinda wish there was a mobile app for Diddy Kong Racing (well the app can have both from N64 and DS despite me not playing the N64 though I would like to play it on the N64 and that I also played the DS version).

Whenever you guys played star cuty, did you select the plane and go out of the level near the starting line just to see what was out there? Me and my sisters did that a lot. We explored every nook and cranny of every level together.
Nintendo needs to make a new Diddy Kong Racing. I have no doubt that itll be able to rival if not surpass Mario Kart.
best part of the remake imo was the online. i used to play the crap out of the online mode lol.
I don't like the fact they just give everyone yellow vehicles and not color coded one.

What is this? On the ds? When I used to play this on the Nintendo 64, pressing the r button let me turn sharply. Do you not know how to turn sharply in here?
i came here to see the new tracks since i was a huge fan of the 64 version and i was pretty disappointed.
The tracks were very boring and not creative whatsoever.
Why did they change Jungle Falls’ music?
I never bet this game 2 years ago on my cellphone plus I little give up Playing games on my cellphone anyway

Out of the 4 new stages, Only the last 1 was good enough to blend into the regular game. Seemed like the only one with effort too seeing it's the only one with original music. Also, why did they change the first space stage music. They should have kept it the same, the second the same and the third the same and give the new track to the last 1. Shame stage 3 wasn't it's original music. Also In this version they removed the whole instrument charm of every character instrument being used for the music and now everything uses the same 3ish sounds with a little bit of them in the tracks music that was already existent. But I do like the new songs apart from the jungle japes and diddy kong into stage music. You'd think with them going out of their way to give every stage original music that they wouldn't make 2 of the new stages use the exact same music LMAO smh. DKR needs a real remake

@@YoungAvJoe Naw, you're just being a baby. This isnt nitpicking. This is stuff that affects a game for some people. A game with horrible music takes away from its charm. I legit don't have a single game with what I'd call bad music in my top 20 games. Also I'm not a N64 guy I'm a games guy. Every part matters. Also first thing I talked about is straight gameplay experience. Stages. The new stages overall weren't up to par. The music modifications and choices weren't the most ideal. It's not called notpicking. It's called preference. If I played Diddy Kong Racing as my second fav kart racer since 1998 (that's when I got it), I damn well notice music differences. It changes the experience. That's why the game doesn't have one music theme for the entire game. But you know what? You can be but hurt over the fact this game was a bad remake. Don't get me started on the first new balloon garbage, the horrible way the upgrade system works etc. They made alot of big mistakes with it and that's just a fact. As a kart racer, the original is just a better game. Fact is it needs a good remake that lives up to how great the game was. Bet if the remade the game the exact same way people will say it's better than the DS one lol. Even people who didn't play Diddy Kong Racing try the remake and call it bad then I tell em try the of version and they say it's actually alot better
@@YoungAvJoe no you prove my point. You're crying because facts. You just admitted the new content wasn't great. Case closed. Music is part of a games experience, not a nickpick. If you can't accept that, you're a lost cause because there's a reason people talk about soundtracks of games, why they have awards etc. Let them channge the persona soundtracks or Nier Automata etc. Case closed lmao

Don't play the N64 version. Much harder if you are struggling with the DS version. Felt the DS one was far too easy, but maybe this game just needs a difficulty select.
