I love how you’re just keeping things real in your videos. Yes, natural cleaning products are great for everyday use. But sometimes you just need to do a real deep clean with some heavy-duty product. It is about balance. I’ve been down that guilt trip of buying bleach for a deep clean, but you remind me that we’re only human and make conscious decisions for what each situation asks.
I never use bleach Only EO sprays for any type of disinfectant But I rly don’t disinfect Cleaning is just fine Let ur immune system learn to work Are we rly taking care of MRSA pts in our homes?? Or Hep C? I doubt it
@chadzwife1 I don't disinfect either, a clean home is for beauty and not so there aren't any "germs." I've only used bleach to treat yellowing of white surfaces
The old saying, "A Woman's Work Is Never Done", is SO true. I love taking care of my home, cooking, and planning for my family. I've done this for 52 years, still love it! (I'm 72)
You're my fantasy self. 😆Lots of kids(we have 3), a wonderful homemaker, gardener, hobby farmer, and creator. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.
Lisa, I absolutely love your love for homemaking and natural, God given femininity. You have always radiated this but in the last year especially it’s really shined. What’s more, is we can see in your daughters are taking after you, as well. It’s honestly all I could pray for my own daughter as she mirrors me. You really are so inspiring.
Lisa, you and your husband creating a means of being at home, working and studying together as a family is such a blessing. A really enjoyable video. Thank you.
Congratulations! I would love to see a video of you explaining how you take care of babies and get sleep (lol) while working on the farm and tending to your other children. I have one 8 month old and am pregnant with my second, and I’m feeling nervous about splitting my time and sleeping well with just two!
I have three sons, it's a good idea to teach them to sit on the potty when they are home, it helps the bladder to empty fully and will help keep it all functioning well over the years.
Lisa, would you consider doing a video on how you transition you babies from sleeping in your bed to then getting them into their own cribs? As well as getting them to nap in a crib vs a wrap.
I loved this video. Its still September here in Virginia but I know winter and snow are right around the corner. Im cleaning out my garden and getting the last of the tomatoes but your Winter video made me feel cozy and not dreading winter quite so much.
The mom clean thing...so true! I never thought of it it that clearly, but there is definitely a difference between kid clean and mom clean. It made me laugh 😃
Love this ! There's something so satisfying about being home on a cold winter's day just slowing down and snuggling your babies! I love to bake on those kinda days! Love this video ❣️ I'm always amazed at how much you accomplish in one day! God bless!
I have been eating before coffee too. Something that makes it fast and easy is a quick smoothie. I do kefir, frozen beef liver, two raw eggs, berries and little honey. I drink that fast and then I can have my coffee ! and a bigger breakfast with my family later.
My favorite type of breakfast is 2 over easy eggs and a sauteed veggie of any type, cooked all the same pan. Kale, diced squash, diced okra, cauli rice, broccoli etc. And it's so filling!
Black ice is so dangerous for sure. Glad your all safe. Today, the 10th it was 62 degrees out and sunny in NYC. Haven't had to use snow boots at all so far which I LOVE! I am not a winter weather girl at all. Which is funny because I love to watch channels where people live in cold climates and have farms. Go figure. I am a meat and potato kind of girl though, so I wish I had a sister who gave me fresh beef to eat. Enjoy your quiet day!
*I'm glad you all are safe. *Theo is such a cutie. *I love those kinds of pots. I've added them to my shopping list along with their knives, since early last year. If you don't have a great set of pots and knives for cooking,it becomes a struggle in the kitchen instead of joy. It goes along with the joys of being a homemaker. Thanks for sharing.
Living in Missouri for two years, I remember the surprise weather. We got snowed in at my best friends house, and it turned out to be one of my fondest memories.🥰 Happy you made it home safely.🤍
Thank you for giving of your time to share a day in your life with us. Also a homemaker/homeschooling mom of several children who finds your videos motivational and encouraging.
Think eating breakfast in the morning is working well for you; your first shot of the day, u had zero makeup and looked wonderful, considering you had such a rough trip the night before. Good luck in keeping up with that new plan. Great video; enjoy so much how simple and fluid your life appears to be, the gentle sounds of music are great at hiding the noise that comes up with having a big family and caring for everyone,. It is a lot of work but really such a beautiful thing.
Lisa-Have you ever pressure canned meat? It is SOooooo easy and the meat is fork tender and so convenient to do what your doing. It also frees up freezer space. No freezer burn to worry about. Super easy ready to heat and eat. Spice the way you want. Lasts pretty much forever this way. Love watching-So peaceful. My sons are grown-but love watching, reminds me of simpler times, times you thought at the time were a little hard, but really, those were the best times. Beautiful family.
A few years ago, when my first daughter was born, I used to freak out when I saw someone throw bread crums or a little bit of water on my just cleaned floors!! It really made me mad!! Now I just enjoy the feel of super clean floors for whatever long it lasts and I also enjoy cleaning them over and over again!!
I love my home as well and take a great amount of care and effort to keep it clean and functional .. It is a continual thing! but making my bed is so satisfying, along with the tidying of my kitchen . I am wanting to redo my pantry and have taken some cues from yours! So pretty !!! have a great Sunday with your family💜
Love your videos! Thankful everyone made it home safe 🙏 All the food you make always looks so good!!! Steak dinner and tacos looked amazing my mouth was watering. God Bless you and your family. Have a great weekend 😊
Gosh, I feel the rwd issue for sure!!! When me moved up to the mountains (Colorado) we had a 15 passenger Ford Transit rwd and immediately had to get a 4wd vehicle. Transit comes in awd now (as of 2020) that could hold your crew plus any additional ;) We have an expedition and an expedition max now as we only have 5 left at home
hi Lisa ,how are you ,I'm a subscriber of yours for a long time yrs ,frist time chatting with , you brought up were about Ralph Lauren and the sweaters you purchased at the thrift store, these are high ends. Meaning $80.00'even higher for adults signature's designer brand high quality selling at Lord and Taylor, Normstroms great purchase for sure!! Love your pod casts and videos! God bless your family
I first starting watching your vids 3 days ago. Oh my your amazing 👏. Def your calling what an enjoyable way to spend my days off of work and look forward to watch what is next to come.
I always enjoy watching your videos when your showing your life on a simple farm life. Your burritos looked really yummy. You said your doing the kitchen over. I love your kitchen so I’m really curious as what your plans are for it. I guess I’ll wait n see. ( my best part of your kitchen is your pantry) Thank you again Lisa for sharing. PS. I’m happy to hear everyone is fine after that scare on icing roads. Thankfully it all worked out. 😊♥️👍👍👍👍
Loved this video- thank you so much! I definitely agree that homemaking is something you grow into loving! I have also found that I find it highly enjoyable to wake before the rest of the family and get myself dressed and ready to start the day - maybe even drink a hot cup of coffee for once 😂 just to have a minute to reflect before the hectic day starts.
just thinking about how i've been following and subscribed to your channel for so many years now. Recently I've been going down a homesteading rabbit hole as I bought a house last September and have garden and preservation fever; I've discovered so many homesteaders along the way but you were my (and probably many others!) first and hold a really special place in my heart!
Glad you all were safe. I've never had coconut water & orange juice and what does the salt do to the beverage? I don't function well out of chaos, so I have to keep dirt & disorganization at bay in order to get to the real work at hand for me and my family. Yum, herb butters are divine. Theo is such a cute little lovebug. Well, the kids don't know how to Mom-clean until they've done kid-cleaning for a few years and begin to realize it's not the same. With any luck kid-clean is a stage in their development and learning and not the end achievement. The tacos looked great. I cannot eat cilantro, so am happy to put other greens in them.
Glad y'all made it to warm homes safely! Breakfast always confuses me... I hear so much about intermittent fasting these days, and that makes a lot of sense to me too. I'm just not hungry until around 10:00 and if I eat earlier I seem to stay hungry all day! Or maybe I should say "hungrier"! Lol! Love to see your days around the home!
I’m not an expert but I’ve heard the reason you are hungrier when you eat breakfast is because it speeds your metabolism up and therefore your body is hungrier because it has burned through your food faster!
I don’t think I will ever swap out my Clorox toilet cleaner for a natural substitute. The toilet just needs to be doused in chemicals for it to be clean haha. I can’t wait to see your kitchen makeover!
We get this black ice weather at least once a year here. It's called ijzel here and it is such a hassle. Most homes have the salt you sprinkle on roads and pavements. We get a bucket free each year from the municipality we live in. This winter we had it for about a week :( Hope it clears up soon where you live, usually when it thaws it goes away but during the night it can freeze again. Glad your sister's house was sort of nearby. Thanks for the drink idea. I'm going to try if my daughter likes it with her breakfast. And never thought about putting sauerkraut on a taco. I think it is because sauerkraut is a typical Dutch food and I never thought of combining it with more texmex flavours.
We also had treacherous weather a week ago in south arkansas. Really bad ice storm and of course we are not equipped for that type of Mother Nature. I was out of power for 6 days, some still have no power. Awful. I always enjoy your practical videos and love to watch you bake!
www.farmhouseonboone.com/podcast. I put the link to my podcast which also has a you tube channel connected to it...you will find more homeschool info on my podcast
Omg little Theo running in his little snow suit made my heart melt. My son is 14 months and he reminds me of him. He looks like a penguin waddling 🤣
😂😂haha
Thanks for normalizing being happy at HOME! love this+

Yeah and it's not all or nothing! Using bleach just once in a while is not the same as using it for everyday cleaning. You're still achieving a lot
I never use bleach
Only EO sprays for any type of disinfectant
But I rly don’t disinfect
Cleaning is just fine
Let ur immune system learn to work
Are we rly taking care of MRSA pts in our homes?? Or Hep C? I doubt it

One of the easiest ways in using a baby carrier.
"A mom clean".....Amen sister!!!.... especially when boys are concerned....
I love how you've remodeled your spaces but still kept them so historic!
I Love a cozy Winter day at home with a little cleaning and some comfort food 🌬🥘
I have three sons, it's a good idea to teach them to sit on the potty when they are home, it helps the bladder to empty fully and will help keep it all functioning well over the years.
Yes! I was thinking this as well. I am so thankful that my husband has always done this, and my sons don't know anything else. Such a blessing!
Lisa, would you consider doing a video on how you transition you babies from sleeping in your bed to then getting them into their own cribs? As well as getting them to nap in a crib vs a wrap.
A day spent cleaning by yourself at home = a super fun day 😂 ...said every homemaker
The lamp really makes your kitchen counter so cozy looking! Such a small change with a big impact!
I loved this video. Its still September here in Virginia but I know winter and snow are right around the corner. Im cleaning out my garden and getting the last of the tomatoes but your Winter video made me feel cozy and not dreading winter quite so much.
Those baby snuggles were so sweet! Glad you all were safe afterwards
Us too!
I feed the kids right away but I do Intermittent fasting so I never eat right away and I love it.
God bless!
You can warm those tortillas up under a moist towel as well, in a low oven.
I have been eating before coffee too. Something that makes it fast and easy is a quick smoothie. I do kefir, frozen beef liver, two raw eggs, berries and little honey. I drink that fast and then I can have my coffee ! and a bigger breakfast with my family later.
I love the garlic parsley butter idea with steak! 🥰
It's so good!
Theo in his snow clothes waddling was so adorable. Your family is amazing. Ty for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Despite the “weird” day, your home seemed so peaceful and comfortable. Food looked just delicious as always.
My favorite type of breakfast is 2 over easy eggs and a sauteed veggie of any type, cooked all the same pan. Kale, diced squash, diced okra, cauli rice, broccoli etc. And it's so filling!
Yeah, that system caught everyone off guard. Including the meteorologists! Down here in Southeast Missouri; kids were out of school the whole week!
Thank you for the Dutch baby suggestion! Soooo delicious 🤤
So funny about the "mom clean" and "the kid clean" ..I totally get what that means 🤣🤣
Love the bundling of the kiddos, takes me back.
Black ice is so dangerous for sure. Glad your all safe. Today, the 10th it was 62 degrees out and sunny in NYC. Haven't had to use snow boots at all so far which I LOVE! I’ve heard homemaking described as putting beads on a string with no knot.
It’s important to reframe your definition of success.
Excited about your podcast!
*I'm glad you all are safe.
*Theo is such a cutie.

You are so inspiring. I too like to keep a clean home gives peace of mind.
Lisa, I wish you could explain more about your morning drink and what it's doing.
Coconut water and orange juice..
Just a refreshing juice 😊
It’s a homemade electrolyte. Lisa is a kindred spirit and I get her language LOL
It is part of my pro-metabolic eating. You can learn more about it on my podcast if you are interested.www.farmhouseonboone.com/podcast
Lovely video. I love that you have “kid cleans” and “mom cleans”. We do the same in our home.
That’s my favorite breakfast except with bulletproof coffee
Living in Missouri for two years, I remember the surprise weather. We got snowed in at my best friends house, and it turned out to be one of my fondest memories.🥰 Happy you made it home safely.🤍

Good Saturday morning Lisa. Excellent video as always. Thanks for sharing. That steak and those mashed potatoes look absolutely delicious.
I have salt box envy. I love it.
Glad you both families got home safely!
Omg I love the lamp on the kitchen counter! So cozy!
Me too!!
Love your videos! Thankful everyone made it home safe 🙏 All the food you make always looks so good!!! Steak dinner and tacos looked amazing my mouth was watering.
God Bless you and your family. Have a great weekend 😊
Thanks so much
I bet you can’t wait for winter to be over!!! 42°C here in Australia today 😬😬😬
Beautiful, restful video. Your family and home are so lovely .
Theo is such a big boy now!! We call that treacherous weather black ice. I only experienced it once here in NJ but it is common in the south.
Glad to see you are using Made In cookware. It's the best I've used over my 50 years of cooking.
Gosh, I feel the rwd issue for sure!!! When me moved up to the mountains (Colorado) we had a 15 passenger Ford Transit rwd and immediately had to get a 4wd vehicle. Transit comes in awd now (as of 2020) that could hold your crew plus any additional ;)

Me too!!
I first starting watching your vids 3 days ago. Oh my your amazing 👏. Def your calling what an enjoyable way to spend my days off of work and look forward to watch what is next to come.
Welcome aboard!
We got hit with the surprise storm too! Glad you are all safe.
Have you completely quit using cast iron? I would be very interested to hear what you've learned/what you are doing with cast iron now!
I just really cut down as my children dentist noticed signs of too much iron in my children's diet...
I always enjoy watching your videos when your showing your life on a simple farm life. Your burritos looked really yummy. You said your doing the kitchen over. How Scary!! Glad you all are Ok!
Just wonderful video and you just keep it so real. Fantastic. Lisa your just so great !!! Blessings Helen Montana
My favourite days are the ones like this Lisa- baking, sorting, tidying!
Mom clean is definitely a higher standard!
@Farmhouse on Boone for sure! I have 2 boys. I 💯 understood exactly where you were going with the boys bathroom talk 😉
I have watched this three times…so glad that you all are safe.
thank you!
Thank you for sharing ♥️🤗🙏

Mom clean 🤣🤣 I'm stealing that!

I am like you!! I love cleaning my home!!
If you use an oil filled heater like a little radiator, they're silent!
Love your channel
We didn’t experience it here where I live but a town near us lost their electricity as lightning hit the main station!
Enjoyable watching your video today. You really went through an ordeal.
Happy everyone made it home safe!🤗
I remember my Mom dressing three of us to play in the snow and then knocking on the doors to come in because I was wet and cold!

@@ashleygunter8712 Makes sense! 👍
Great Video. Hello from Georgian Bay, Canada. Love these home days! Glad you and your family are safe.
Thanks so much!
The Made In Dutch oven is on my wish list.
I don’t think I will ever swap out my Clorox toilet cleaner for a natural substitute. The toilet just needs to be doused in chemicals for it to be clean haha. I can’t wait to see your kitchen makeover!
Yep. I live in an area with very hard water. The natural stuff just couldn't cut it. I tried! Back to Clorox.
Fry the rice in oil till amber color with your onion then add can of diced tomatoes and chicken broth best Mexican rice!
Thanks for the tip!
I need that rug that's in the boys room.
that was another thrifted find!
Sign of the Beaver! We love that book! Also, we have three boys so I understand the bathroom. 😂

Oh did you get your idea for the adrenal cocktail from the root cause protocol? 😍
That ice was a big surprise! I didn't know it was doing anything until I went outside and fell on my butt.
no fun!
I'm so hungry. Every time I watch your videos I am like how do I cook like this.
You can do it!
Loved watching your DIL! 💕
We also had treacherous weather a week ago in south arkansas. Really bad ice storm and of course we are not equipped for that type of Mother Nature. I was out of power for 6 days, some still have no power. Awful. I always enjoy your practical videos and love to watch you bake!
I'm sorry to hear that, ice storms are brutal!
I would love to see more homeschool content:)
She chooses not to be as open with that because homeschool is very important to her family

Lisa, do the floor cloths hold up pretty well? Hope this isn’t a dumb question
These meals looked so delicious! Glad you got all your kids back! Sounds like you all had the weather we had. I'm in TN. Theo is walking already?!?!
he sure is!
Your food always looks yummy
Thank you 😋
Haha cleaning day by myself, yes lol
You are such a good Momma. And an expert homemaker. You are AWESOME.
thank you for following along...
Enjoyed this video. Though, I have to say, it’s kinda weird not seeing you make those yummy eggs in a cast iron! 😉😁
🤔Snow? What snow? LOL 🤣💞
