Never ever had my Lemons nip anybody, and they are in a tank with with some Keyhole Chiclids and highfin Platys with flowing fins. Been there for two years now, and have had no issues. As long as they have a little group of at least six, they are fine.
Loved learning about a new (to me, at least) species, and your videos continue to be the most calm and relaxing fish content on TH-cam. Outstanding as always. 😁
Candy Corn Tetra? One of my favorites! This one looks amazing in a black water tank, with a good combination of plants and "vine" wood tick, contorted branches. MD Fish Tanks has such a tank. Thank you!
Just got 10 young Bentosi tetras this week for my community tank. They have settled in nicely with my cardinal tetras, harlequin rasboras, corydoras and my trio of swordtails. My aquarium shop told me he was getting them in from a small local breeder and showed me a picture. I loved the look. He doesn’t get them in very often. My tank is now complete and I’m looking forward to seeing the fish grow to full size. The Bentosi tetras tails look like little flags and I’m so happy with them. They are swimming together at the lower level and look great against the live plants and bogwood that I have in there. My tap water is on the soft side so I have crushed coral in with the sand and my aquarium shop advised me so well when I was setting up my relatively new tank. Water testing has given me so much confidence and been the best advice so far. I failed at the hobby 10 years ago and this time around it’s been a much better experience. If you can get these little fish I’d recommend them.
Hey there from America. I absolutely love your videos!!! I recently got red neon blue eye dwarf rainbows and waiting on my kubotai’s. Please do a deep dive for me on these ❤️❤️
Hi Lauren, I love your videos! I'd never heard of this tetra species before, but the glossy chestnut-and-white colour means I can't help thinking of them as like little spaniels or shire horses. 😄 Also, I sent you an email a few weeks ago, but it might have got lost in your spam filters?
what's fun is the markings area all a little different. such as a black spot on the dorsal, etc. i had some bullying in my group of 5/6 (it was a while ago) and the last standing are big, one is OBESE lol. the earth shakes as he moves through the water. but... apparently now yellowbellied suddenly with a ram. they were fine before and now just.... wusses. i need some more ditherfish. mr cuteness (ram) is being an a-hole once i took a few silvertip tetras out for joining the big tank they were meant for. (i was using the tank as quarantine. i'd added the silvertips, ram, and a golden wonder kili. all was good till the silvertips were out, and the ram is now like "ok, ALL the tank is mine now") also called *candy cane tetras*.... and only one of my LFS ever has them and not always. or i would have gotten a bigger school.
i have these guys. they eat like piranhas 😂 otherwise good even with bettas. but can outcompete for food if you don't pay mind to sort of feeding them separately (other sides of tank, etc)
These guys are great to pair with lemon tetras. The pink and yellow schools looks really pretty together, and they do not bother each other at all.
Lemon tetra are famous fin nippers tetras and aggressive
Best kept in one species aquarium.

Just discovered your channel and am loving it! It’s surprisingly hard to find content that has high quality video of fish.

Missing your videos , they are great, I have no idea how you haven't got more subscribers
probably just the dumb algorithm. share vids out, is the most helpful. :)
A new TM video, brilliant :)

Do the black marks on the dorsal fins of some of these in this video not indicate they are Rosy rather than Bentosi?
no, some just have black marks. (i have a school)
@@lurklingX cheers!
Mine dont give a shit about my neo shrimp , not even the shrimplets and they stay away from the amanos hahaha
