My favorite part was knowing that it ended and I'm looking forward to this season ending because by the time this ends football will be on and I don't have to hear or see stupid dragon s*** anymore
Goosebumps! Especially with Rhaenyra’s re-occurring theme music in the background. I also like how Rhaenys chooses not to bow down to Rhaenyra but respects her nonetheless.
Rhaenys didn't bow because she wanted to wait for Corlys to get back to health to decide if they bow to Rhaenyra or Aegon or none of them. Rhaenyra knew this.
Ser Erryk is by far one of my favourite non-main characters. He’s just such a loyal knight. Rest In Peace Ser Erryk…you may be gone but you’ll never be forgotten.
I remember watching this for the first time. This scene gave me goosebumps and the music is just a testimony of Ramin Djawadi being the Lord of the Music and the Protector of the Soundtrack.
0:47 is probably Daemons most important moment in the show. Its only *THEN* that he truly understands the weight of what has happened. His brother is dead. The person he cared most about in the world is dead. And only now after he looks out and sees his daughters and sons all here for his wife and love. Daemon is erratic, wrathful, and passionate. He wants the crown, but he demonstrates his quality through his actions, not his words. He kneels to two people in his entire life, Viserys, and Rhaenyra. That was enough to tell me that Daemon would never do wrong by her or his brothers wishes.
Rhaenyras was more emotional because all those lords and ladies bent the knees BECAUSE they believe in her. All the smallfolk that clapped for Aegons coronation don’t even trust him, they just did it because he was a male.
"The gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land." is not the kind of saying that goes around without some kind of fear toward a ruling family where madness is as part of their culture as incest.
No she doesn’t bro. She’s uglier than child Rhaenyra… and that’s saying a lot. Put her next to Dany or Sansa and she’s a mud duck. Really great actress though and this was a great scene. S2 overall was trash though.
@@The_dry-godi honestly thinks she looks more like sansa & daenerys together , only with squintive eyes , but she isnt ugly.. shes the most beautiful woman ive seen
Beautiful scene. I cackled when the table lit up. It was there on Game of Thrones the whole time and Stannis nor Dany ever bothered to turn on its lights!
Love how everyone bows expect Rheanys but the two of them make eye contact as a sign of respect. She wont bow due to the fact she has to much pride but is willing to accept Rheanyra as her queen.
It’s more about Rhaenys’ unique position. She was the eldest child of King Jaehaerys’ eldest son and heir. By all rights, the crown was hers. But Jaehaerys was a closet misogynist and allowed for Viserys to be chosen by the lords instead at The Great Council. Rhaenyra respects that were it not for the patriarchal culture that has burdened both her and Rhaenys (and Alicent as well but she’s not in this scene), Rhaenys would be Queen. And so Rhaenys is given the courtesies that are owed to a queen, including not needing to bow to another queen.
I remember watching this scene for the first time 2 years ago when the episode arrived. God it’s so nostalgic now. Everything about this scene is so perfect, and she looks so majestic. She wasn’t made for the throne, the throne was made for her. 🖤
One of the most beautiful scenes i've seen. The magnificence of Rhaenira, the music, the photograph and the emotions inside the woman becoming a queen. Rhaenira is my platonic love.
Wow, Daemon is so loyal to his wife. I'm sure he'll never get angsty and do things to undermine her authority, cause chaos, and otherwise worsen the situation.
For all we know, he didn’t undermine her authority at all. She wanted Aemond Targaryen and that’s exactly who he told Blood and Cheese to slay. And as far as causing chaos, the Greens started that by usurping the throne and killing Lucerys.
Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen 🖤 First of her name. Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men. Lady of the seven Kingdoms. Protector of the Realm. Viserys and Aemmas first born child. The true heir to the Iron Throne. Ancestor of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, born Aegon Targaryen. All hail Queen Rhaenyra of House Targaryen 👑🐉🖤
Both the Greens and the Blacks lost in the end but Rhenyra did kind of come out on top considering that it is her youngest son (Aegon III Targaryen) that becomes King of the Seven Kingdoms and continues on the Targaryen line in which we get "Mad Queen" Daenerys Targaryen and Aegon Targaryen VI (Jon Snow).
The Crown of the Conciliator as opposed to the Conqueror. Funnily enough, I've noticed that most of the the wearers of Aegon the Conqueror's crown tried to take something that wasn't rightfully theirs and failed in their ambitions. Aegon the Conqueror tried to conquer all of Westeros from the rightful ruling dynasties (missing only Dorne), Maegor the Cruel and Aegon the Usurper tried to usurp the Iron Throne from the rightful heir (both dying after short and disputed reigns) and Daeron the Young Dragon tried to conquer Dorne (dying in the process).
Rhaenyra had the makings of a good Queen, if only Alicent didn't misunderstand Viserys I'd like to think Rhaenyra would sit the throne with Daemon as her consort and Rhaenys as her hand. Though Aemond and Vhagar would probably still eventually kill Luke (he was always going to avenge his eye). The war would have still happened due to Aemond and Vhagar.
Man I don know who composes the music in Game of Thrones universe,🔥🔥🔥. Yet again one of the reasons that sets GOT apart from the other tv shows. The small details
A stark contrast between loyalty, and spectacle. Aegon needed to seem legitimate with his crown, and the sword that was given to him. Yes, the people cheered for him, but in terms of loyalty it’s not there. Rhaenyras is one of respect, loyalty, and truth. She wears the crown of her predecessor. The one who actually chose her to succeed him. Not to mention the legacies, the two crowns hold. Aegon the Conqueror was a great king, but take that aside, his crown is a legacy of destruction, war, and fire. (And chaos under Maegor) Rhaenyra wears the crown of Jaehaerys the Conciliator. a crown that represents unity, peace, and prosperity. And later on in the series, you can see how they both embodied the legacies of their crowns. What great writing the show has.
I think it’s nice that Rhaenys did not bow and Rhaenyra did not require it of her. Queens do not need bow to one another, and Rhaenys was queen by all rights and blood, even if she is the queen that never was.
Having read about future Targaryen Kings after the Dance of the Dragons, it’s kinda sad and crazy to think that Rhaenyra, who fought for both her birthright as well as to continue the long reign of peace and prosperity for the realm, is villainized by future generations of both high born and small folk of Westeros Her battle was truly to ensure Westeros kept the peace established by Jaeherys and continued by Viserys. But future generations like like Aegon the Unworthy, the Blackfyres and Aerys II are so quick to take the power, abuse it and throw the realm into chaos for their own pleasure. All the work the Targaryens of the past did just thrown away But the same could be said about how Rhaenyra and Aegon II through all that power away by sending the dragons to war
The long night happened because a brother usurped & murdered his sister for The Throne The Dance of Dragons happened because a brother usurped & later murdered his sister for The Throne The Dragon Lords are the reason The Others exists...like Nature balancing itself
The most emotional scene of the entire season for me, besides Viserys's walk to the throne for Rhaenyra in episode 8. The one true queen.

Aegon's coronation was epic, yet superficial. While Rhaenyra's was simpler but emotional

@@waykool698 you just proved my point pal… he’s the kings SON, a MALE. That’s why they clapped for him, only because he’s a MALE.
