Sephiroth caressing Jenova’s severed leg is so unsettling. Glad they leaned into the horror aspect of Jenova and the kind of influence she has on Sephiroth
@@dikastederook6380 Advent Children Réunion Files comes after Ultimania ,and reflect the actual thought of the devs about this matter.....But since the beginning, originally Sephiroth has NEVER been written as a enemy, but as antagonist...And about him they NEVER said that Is evil, just that he lost his mind
Sephiroth has ALWAYS been the enemy in FFVII. Look at the difference in goals between him and Jenova. Sephiroth desires to absorb enough spiritual energy to become a god, whereas Jenova is a creature that goes around infecting people with a virus that turns them into monsters, wiping out civilizations in the process. That's just one example. Advent Children itself is about Sephiroth's return, not Jenova's. Kadaj and co are officially and clearly stated to be avatars of Sephiroth. The AC related novel On the Way to a Smile also has an entire chapter from Sephiroth's point of view, where HE is the protagonist, HE finds out that his will is strong enough to return to life and HE is in control. The Ultimania is also an official source written for the game that specifically states Sephiroth managed to take over Jenova's will, why would they go back on their word years later in a movie where Sephiroth is the one in control and Jenova exists as cells? All the following games, spin-offs, materials, all officials and made by Square Enix, aka the compagny that created the character and thus has the final word about it, treat Sephiroth as the main antagonist in FFVII, the lore does it and so does the remake, which is canon to the FFVII plot. Even with the differences in languages, the whole saga canonically treats HIM as the great enemy and Jenova as a greater-scope villain. It's pretty damn official and beyond.
the jenova theme is like remake's airbuster boss theme. really love jenova's design here, reminds me of john carpenter's the thing in which jenova is inspired from.
There’s more cinematography masterpiece quality in this than most movies I’ve seen. Unbelievable dialogue and portrayal of cryptic lore with Sephiroth. And what was in the background before that image of sephiroth holding something? So many questions.
I love how Jenova (as sephiroth) shows a quick transition between her monstrous form and sephiroth, before completely transforming. This is right after her speech on how she can appear as those you love, fear, and hate, it’s like she’s literally saying, “I’M NOT SEPIROTH!”
That’s not how it works in this game. In the OG, all the Sephs were pieces of Jenova, that he was controlling. In this game, Seph uses the black robes to become a corporal form, not Jenova itself. It’s when the Jenova piece is able to combine with other matter that have its cells that it can reform its “full” body.
@@FrozenRemix1 Well, I mean you can argue who the “true” Sephiroth is anymore; but that’s a debate that doesn’t need to be had here. Yes, The main actual Sephiroth from the Prime Timeline is almost assuredly still encase in a crystal in the Northern Crater. Because if not it doesn’t make any sense that Sephiroth wasn’t able to even originally touch the true Black Material that just passed right through his hands.
No. No. No, Before battle Sephiroth saying Jenova can become those you hate fear and love AND at post battle.. to be careful of her..Cloud has been had by the end of Rebirth and..Cruise ship Sephiroth and Forest Arieth had been warning him.
1:29 sephiorth certified hype man, the glazing going crazy and the music makes it 10x better
Next level jenova glazing
I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I loved that part.
funniest part is, it's essentially just Jenova glazing herself

In all honesty Sephiroth has just as much of an influence over her.
@@dikastederook6380according to what Nojima says in Advent Children Réunion Files,no,it's Jenova the One Who leads and decides
@@federicamacchia1656 Except the official Ultimania Guide for FFVII states that Sephiroth's will was too strong and took over Jenova herself.

The Jenova introduction is pure overdrive
Man that drop at 2:37 is perfection

I haven't had the time to play this but it feels like they re-did ff7 with the intent to make every boss fight ten times more epic.
They re-did ff7 with the intent to make everything more epic lol and I love it
They went extremely ham on this theme this time

God seeing this for the first time was absolutely epic! I can’t believe how many people are sleeping on this game….
UNBRIDLED STRENGTH melts jenova. That first stagger u could’ve gotten her to half hp.
This is one of the best cutscenes in gaming history. My god
I love how Jenova is basically a Dead Space monster now lol
Always was, before Dead Space was a thing
You ask me, this thing goes beyond Dead Space and straight into Bloodborne territory.
It's clearly inspired by The Thing to be fair.
Just fought this monster last night. I did not expect it to be a jenova. The music gave me suspicion though.
I literally had a tear roll down my cheeks when i played this the first time
Pure goosebumps
Yo this theme song 😮!
why wont you use plasma discharge? its a enemy kill it will kill fast.

witcher 3 soundtrack brought me here, same vibes
Were the translators smoking weed or wtf is "Emergent"?
Or are you just a grade school dropout? “Emergent” as in “emerging”, much as JENOVA did in this boss fight
I'd delete this comment, that was embarrassing as hell. Emergent is a cooler way of renaming "birth" which is also similar to emerge.
Smoking weed because it made them more creative duh.
