I've eaten in some posh restaurants but still nothing beats fresh batch bread with butter and cheese. thanks for the video. and maybe get on to Brennan's and show them how to make it without adding soya flour!
made this last night used 2 9”x5” loaf pans plus one freestyle in a pie plate cooked 15 min high temp then just 20 min lower temp is freaking DELICIOUS 🎉ty from the Bluegrass State
Looks Delicious Chris !!! Just like the Spicers Batch Loaf from Navan Meath where I lived 40 years ago. On my way home was Spicers Factory beside the River Boyne. Wandering home drunk as a Teenager on a Fri Night " Borrowing " a still hot Batch Loaf from one of the Vans sitting in Spicers Bakery Yard then' Spicers is all gone now I believe !!

I think maybe because Barely From Europe Has more Flavor or Something ?? Not sure the Reason Why but Beer and Bread here in the States Sucks !!!.. Yes there is some Artisanal Bakeries and such here with good bread but they are few and far between and extremely expensive. Thanks for the Recipes Chris !!!
@@irishbakerabroad Ive been replacing one teaspoon per cup of plain flour with one teaspoon of vital wheat gluten flour, works great for a nice chewy texture.
Hi Chris, I've just made this bread and it came out amazingly well! I can't eat wheat so I used spelt flour. I added 520ml water and did everything else the same way. It rose perfectly, despite spelt not containing much gluten. Many thanks 😊

You could do that yes! It took about an hour. It depends on the temperature of the room 😊

Chris I don’t have a bread tin that I can divide, I do own a Dutch oven would that work ?Or individual loaf tins?
You could even try with aluminum tins even. Just cut them to fit the shape. I’ll try and do a DIY video for it 😊

Replace some of the white flour with whole meal. Try with 200-300g of whole meal ☘️
