In our school, we have different grading system which relies more on performance tasks and activities. I forgot the exact percentages but it was something like: 50% Performance Tasks 20% Examinations 30% Written works Usually I focus more on the PT and get them done as soon as possible while also making them as best as i could. Usually projects like these are video presentations or lesson recitation so half the time you prepare a script, create the presentation and sound as professional and well knowledgeable as possible lol. Written works are easy to finish and I enjoy them alot more than other school requirements. My best advice for high-schoolers tbh is to just power through everything and list your activities and their due date, it intimidated me and helped me finish them on time whilst also trying to make sure it passes the basic criteria. You don't have to be over the top with your projects and visuals, and please rest!! I don't think enough people talk about it's importance especially to your mental health!

I am from India, and I am not even bragging when I say that our school exams are one of toughest ones in the world😅 So I always maintained the question papers of all the tests taken in school and kept a proper note of the most important questions😅 I didn't know of your method back then, but this method was very useful.
I actually did this thing with one of my (rival) friend where we gather all of the daily tests paper (including from those who had the highest score at a test) and study them together before facing a big exam. We studied from other people's mistakes. It was pretty hard to track and filter the paper. But it was worth the effort. I had the highest rank. And he was on second highest. 10/10 should try the nerdy method *this is no joke*

In Elementary School I got Valedictorian but I only found out what it was when I was announced it and I had good grades without even studying so I would get annoyingly praised and congratulated by everyone for alot of things and I even had to write a god damn speech 😭
But the thing that happens to me is, I study real hard for midterms, but when it comes to finals, I literally forget everything I studied for in midterms and is replaced by new information

Something my teacher has done over the years is that when we were in first grade to fourth grade we would always have finals but for fifth grade to hire grades we never have finals again on the till high school
The problem is, in the last 2 years our government did the weirdest/ prolly the worst decision by making monthly tests so short. (like 5 questions per test) and the question that come NEVER apear in the mid-term/final exams

Sadly my old school never told us if we passed our finals. Since it's highschool we would move onto the next grade even if we failed the finals. They started doing it since 7th grade. Im currently a Junior and i have absolutely no idea if i even passed any tests after 6th grade. None of us even knew our grade or what the passing grade was since they changed it up as years passed. Last time I knew what the passing grade was, was in 8th grade.
Our school uses standards based grading system so we can't see what we get wrong, only the area that we need to improve on.

sometimes what's more important is to keep what you have learned, not what you haven't learned

That is what I do!! I write the questions on a small strip of paper and fold them all and placed them in a small mug and answer them like this!
The problem is that I remembered the answers but not understand the core concept of the stuff I actually want to study
