Damn dude! You’re a fantastic educator too. You have a natural ability to breakdown and explain what you’re educating on. That’s a rare skill. A multi-dimensional badass…the one and only, Skratch Bastid!!!

Love that you are doing this bro this will help me as I have been deejaying since 1982 and I love that an artist as yourself takes the time to show the craft. For each one teaches one or in the internet's case millions.

I pretty much knew why ive been struggling trying to learn, my vinyl collection consists mainly of 90s hardcore, techno and some drum and bass, 160bpm+ stuff. Think i need to slow it down a bit and start from there.
Back in the day i never learnt, always wanted to, and the main reason back then was i never had the gear, crappy belt driven decks and cheap cartridges made the needle constantly bounce anyway. Got no problems mixing and beat matching, now ive got better quality tech, will carry on from where i left off all them years ago.
    Thanks for the tips

I'd like to see where your fader is for each type of scratch, chirps go all the way across the fader right? and which is centered but doesn't go all the way across?

the closest Dj School closest to me is Miami & unfortunately I can't go there to learn to scratch I have bills, responsibilities, & a family & I desperately need a teacher to critique & give pointers.
I have been mixing breakbeat, trance, & house 10+ years but i really want to learn to scratch, trick mix, & freestyle.

Hello ! I use weights on my records (mastersounds ones) and depending on the records I play, some of them are harder to cue, they are not answering as quickly as others. I use standard slipmats and was wondering what should I do to avoid these slow starts that may occur from time to time when launching the records ! Thnaks for any help ! Artur
