Good stuff!!! Very nice tutorial.
This video is great! I wish more TH-camrs would make videos like this... would be nice to see one with the crossfader the other way.
Thank you so much! For you: www.studioscratches.com/how-to-learn-from-a-hamster-reverse-crossfader-style-scratch-dj-if-you-scratch-regular/
Excellent Video :) I'd like to see a next level video with stuff like Prisms, Hydroplanes, Jackhammers and goodness knows what other crazy scratch techniques and combos there are out there. Keep up the good work!
Hi Shaun, I cover all those at schoolofscratch.com
No doubt ... the ultimate scratch tutorial! Very nice and ... well done! Bye!
Nicely done
Basic is the most important. Thank you for good lesson!
Yes, beginners don't realize the importance of babies, stabs, transformers, pinches, drags, chirps etc. I was the same. So much you can do with the basics!
So much in luv with all the style and type .much luv to you
Thanks, appreciate this!
Joe Cooley, def the fav
Qbert's scratchonary was well in depth of explaining. Your presentation is most excellent. So kudos to both for the demonstrations
Awesome channel, thank you !
thanks for watching!
Thanks I’m going to rock my mary Anne hobbs lp 🤘😎
Thank you for this! I subbed! :)
Peace fam, dope as always. The raw authentic hip-hop over here ALWAYS.I was in your neck of the woods this past May.I stayed in Kensington walking distance from Kensington gardens and Hyde Park, stunning family.I remember seeing footage many years ago of Eric Clapton’s crew Cream performing at Hyde park.So it was dope to see it in person.Kensington Gardens reminds me of the chronicles of Narnia or some shit lol,so green and beautiful.Sparked a fat ass J there, then hopped in a cab to the Chelsea vs. Watford match.Dope ass times as well there. I was Trippin on London’s public transportation as well.So convenient! Took the Heathrow express to the Paddington station when I first arrived.Such a better alternative than just ubering or 🚕 it from Heathrow.Only did four days in London because I’ve visited seven European countries in a three week span.I’ll definitely be back in the near future though.Europe is ILLL.1 Love/Peace/Bless
I see you Dexx! London is a cool city for sure. Some of my favourite music comes from there. Come to Ireland next time you ovet this side too. Peace!
So dope. I remember starting scratching and trying to learn by listening to tapes lol. This is great. ❤
Thanks Alexander! How did you get on? I learned a lot by listening too and a few basic instructions way back. Thanks for watching.
@@studioscratches Just always in love and obsessed with scratching since I was a kid. Heard some ISP tapes from a friend. Scratched on a pair of crap belt-driven decks and loved it. Bought a pair of Gemini decks from my best homie Kid Elipsis. Burnt out the motors in 1 year and bought Technics. Thanks so much for you content ❤️💎🙌
Gotta love that TTM 57 💪🏽
You got to hate pawning the same mixer here three times 😟
Dj scratch the best ever.
I love you guys < 3
Delayed flares are a great way for people to get into flares who are beginner's or just aren't comfortable with open fader scratches...
I love this video
Very nice
Love the stab’s
very nice
Great!!
Nice bless up bro
Best one I’ve seen and need
Thank you for watching and for the love!
dope!!!
Nice !😃
I see you use the reverse fader. Thats how I learned. Definitely harder to transform and do some tricks. But i learned alot of my techniques just getting on the wheels and putting in work.
word!
Amazing scratches. The swing flare sounds alot like the autoban a6
yes in the same ballpark of sounds.
great video
Thanks!
Many thanks for your tutorials for the DJ community. But there is a big problem for all DJs when they apply for a club for the first time: How to create THE ULTIMATE letter of application for Clubs? How must it be, the ultimate application mix? What should it look like, the ultimate TH-cam application video? PLEASE CREATE THIS Tutorial Video for all DJ outside there!
welcome back
The best school ever❤
thanks so much!
perfect
Dope video of all the scratches
Thanks
Awesome
Hypnotizing!!
Thanks dude!
perfect
4:12 my fav bit
Thats dope. I think its harder to do those patterns slower like that.
Levi Smith dude slow scratches are where I struggle! I can bust ultra fast scratches easily now, it that slow shit is killing me.
Muito bom
Reversed cross fader / cutting away from scratch deck - nice
Dazzlelaa carpentry Also noticed that. Why actually? Why would anybody want to do that?
@@uzialadogan5240 it's called hamster style crossfader, and it's just a matter of preference. Some people prefers hamster as they are comfortable that way, and some other include me prefers the traditional.
This is crazy scratch
nice to see u live and scratching :)
@Studio Scratches, just a quick question is there any advantages of using the crossfader in reverse? I use it the other way and I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrong, especially the crab scratch? Thx in advance
Nah its just a style -- www.studioscratches.com/hamster-reverse-vs-regular-scratching/ there's pros and cons
✌😁👍sick video!
i think i find the crab one at 7:09 interesting i use it most of the time but i would want to be able to do stab at 3:59
Thank you. Hashtag inspired
Where did you get that smooth hip hop beat homie, im diggin it, I think I got a lot of those skratches down for understanding them, & now am able to practice till my hands fall asleep, but im still a little foggy about how to do the"BoomFlare", thanx my ninja......... 👍👊💪🙏😎
which beat as I use a few?
(Perfect!)
🔥🔥🔥💯
What records(vinyl) are you using with those sounds on it?
This one is called Superseal by Qbert / dirt style
Nice! Thought I was the only 1 who cutt this way! :)
What's the record you're scratching btw?
I wanna know which record he's scratching as well.
The vinyl is super seal, just not sure exactly which one as it seems there are multiple versions featuring different sounds.
I'm a she! This is Emma - I am scratching Super Seal the first one.

Hey thanks it's this: studioscratches.bandcamp.com/track/mellow-forever-97-bpm
Can you inbox the location for the class where we can learn from y'all? I will highly appreciate it.
I am an Italian boy and I would like to start learning the art of scratching by buying numark pt01, or am I limited ?. Do you recommend it? A heartfelt thanks for your work.
Many of my students start off with that setup then progress onto a full setup. You can definitely learn with it!
@@studioscratches Grazie 😁
Cool
whenever i need some motivation i play this and fwd to four minutes in for those uber tight stabs! how long did it take you to get em so tight?
hey thank you so much for that! Quite a while! refined over years of practice!
Shorty question - Which version of OS are u running to still get the rane tt57 going? and which version of serato..... i still use the 57 but have not had my decks on in over 2 years... can you show your set-up please... thank you
Slim Biggins I would just got on the Serato community forum and ask, or I bet you someone already has an older post asking the same thing. Good luck.
Hi I am not using this mixer anymore for that reason.
Do you have the cross fader reversed for this? i see its all the way to the left and you are using your thumb to open it instead of your fingers.
yes! My fader is reversed = hamster style www.studioscratches.com/hamster-reverse-vs-regular-scratching/
DJ battle champ right here
Quality
Do you still using ttm57 on Sersto Scratch Live? Or using external interface with Serato DJ?
No I'm not using this mixer any more.
No I'm not using the TTM57 any more.
Trying to figure out how to get certain sounds. Do you buy the demos and load them into your controller? Or what someone help?
Hello - I am using a scratch record which you buy which has all the samples on.
Please see my free guide: studioscratches.com/scratch-dj-equipment-guide/

I may be wrong but aren't the scratches recorded.
If not what are the tracks/beats you are scratching on?
Can you do a video on selection of beats for starting to scratch?
Possibly share a link of the tracks you scratched on
Thanks alot
Hi, so one side plays instrumental beats and the other side I use a scratch sample. Please see my full course here which explains everything in detail: schoolofscratch.com/get-started
oyeh!!! 🙏🏻
i love baby scratching
Is there any way I can get that instrumental that begins at 00:06 ?
yes! studioscratches.bandcamp.com/track/9034
How much force should I use for a crab scratch cause when I do it you can hear it but it definitely needs improvement,
you wanna be as relaxed as possible
Stupid question is the crossfader reversed here? Wouldn't the left one be at full volume when the cross fader is to the left?
Yes! My fader is reversed = hamster style www.studioscratches.com/hamster-reverse-vs-regular-scratching/
I love 4:14 stabs lick, how can I do the cool lick?
Lots of practice! Try watching on slow motion to get the pattern!
Do you think its easier to learn reverse or regular fader?
Each has pros and cons: www.studioscratches.com/hamster-reverse-vs-regular-scratching/

The vinyl is super seal, just not sure exactly which one as it seems there are multiple versions featuring different sounds.
Hi it's the first super seal record

Next video should showcase the Joe Cooley and hydroplane
Those are inside schoolofscratch.com
Here for writing a character. Anyone have suggestions? Common beginner mistakes or mistakes you make still? Favorite scratch’s you do? Hardest to learn? Other things I should know so I’m more accurate?
Common beginner mistakes - skipping the fundamentals and going too fast. Mistakes I still make - being impatient. Fav scratches - chirps. Hardest - all of them to start with then they get easier. Start slow, learn the basics, get the best tuition you can. Check out my School and complete program here: schoolofscratch.com
Whats the name of mp3 "fresh?" where can i get it ? LIKE!!!!
Fab five Freddy change the beat
As a scratch DJ watch Deck do you prefer?
Technics 1200. I'm old school like that.
Stabs are the shit.
