Charlie consistently giving us great Sunday updates. Are you expecting another 10% drop in certain hyped models? I think there will be a rebound around November and probably in December because of Christmas.🤔
I can explain the watch market easily. There is a global economic slowdown and we are raising interest rates and tightening lending. Lavish spending has gone down and conservative spending has gone up.
@@thehonestwatchdealer NO, not for a couple of years. The world economy is not something you can flip over in six months. We need to keep watching economic outlook for the next few quarters for a lowering of rates and a stable US Dollar. Perhaps in 2025 we can see an improvement

Good work m8! Here across the Pond, seeing similar results on Rolex's in the grey. Especially, precious metals. A lot of them are MSRP or actually under MSRP IE: Cookie Monster, Rose Gold GMT (full) etc...I will say, the popular SS Sports models are continuing to fall. Daytona's are now sub 20s, Submariners are flirting around 10k, Rolex Explorer 2 are right at MSRP.
Basically go straight to the grey market for almost anything gold. If you can get a steel professional from your AD pull the trigger. Do you think Sprite has move room to drop? I'm on the list for it but my AD has admitted they barely get any.

That WG daydate… you said you sold it to a customer and got it back in. But on other videos you’ve said 1 of your clients bought it from an AD to increase his spend and get a watch he really wanted so you were selling it for him on his behalf
Yes thats correct, we sold it on behalf of the client who increased his spend - to another client. This client then wanted us to resell it on his behalf. If that makes sense 😅
Tired of the AD dance, went to meadow hall today and was laughed at in Goldsmiths when i asked if they had any saleable stock. Then directed to there pre-owned selection which included a batman at list plus 7k - if they can sell pre owned at nearly double why would they sell at rrp??? Cant wait for rolex to blow them off, they’re a sham
How much will be a good and fair price to pay in the US for a new Rolex Submariner Blue Model m126613lb-0002 with OysterSteel and 18K gold? Today it retails for $15,600.00. Is it really a hard Rolex model to find and buy? Or not? Your help and advice will be very much appreciated.
@@thehonestwatchdealer Thanks for your help and advice. Looks like it is quite difficult to buy a nice new Rolex at a good price if a buyer finds one on display at an AD shop.
Thanks for the update Charlie! Am going to sell some of my watches to eventually slim down the collection and get just 2 or 3 more heavy hitters. What do you think about the royal oak range, the 15400OR and newer ones?
Ok serious question...... If a watch is avail on the gray for even say for 2-3k under RRP, would you buy gray or pay the full RRP at the AD in order to have more purchase history and relationship with said AD? If the stainless steel professional watches, which demand still exceeds supply are on the gray for anywhere from 1.5-2 or 3x RRP. I would value the relationship in order to save on watches in the future and not pay those premiums on the steel watches if I did in fact want one. Am I crazy for thinking this? Plus the added security of knowing your watch is 100% authentic. That last statement is not a reflection at all on the Honest Watch Dealer but just a statement in general about the resale market in goods as a whole. Would love to know what people think.
It can be an incredibly tough one indeed! A lot of people are just after the one watch, and so will go to the Grey to get it and not wait. Others who collect many will wait it out and increase their spend and build the relationships at the AD. Thank you for watching mate, really appreciate it. 🙏
Is it just me or do I feel like the Explorer II polar should be in this video too as a good buy?🤓It’s a sleeper and I think demand for it it’s growing faster than I thought! Waiting for 3 months already for one and I hear some people with Sub and/or Daytona purchase history waited already for more than 6 months and still haven’t had the call yet for an Explorer II. I also have purchase history with my AD. Another person waited 16 months for an Explorer II polar with purchase history as well 🤯Is there any market insight you can provide us on this model from your sources or point of view please? Thanks 😊 I reckon in a few years time if not sooner, regular watch enthusiasts with small purchase history will no longer be able to purchase any models directly from the AD due to the increase demand from VIP, super wealthy, nominated and preferred clients. We cannot compete with them. Also considering this with the exclusivity which Rolex will create by purchasing Bucherer and maybe others… good luck all… including myself. Unless I win the LOTTERY 😝
I have the Explorer ll white dial and agree it's a sleeping. I love it. Not as common as other steel models but a lovely watch. I had only bought one omega then only waited 3 months for it. I was lucky. Just waiting on my Batman now.
@@thehonestwatchdealer thanks Charlie. Your channel is the only one I follow in the watch community here on TH-cam in UK simply due to the fact that you seem to be most genuine. It’s crazy how much influence America has on the world market.
Absolutely 👍
Tired of the AD dance, went to meadow hall today and was laughed at in Goldsmiths when i asked if they had any saleable stock. Then directed to there pre-owned selection which included a batman at list plus 7k - if they can sell pre owned at nearly double why would they sell at rrp??? Cant wait for rolex to blow them off, they’re a sham
When you say RRP are you talking about Rolex retail price?
Thats correct 👌
How much will be a good and fair price to pay in the US for a new Rolex Submariner Blue Model m126613lb-0002 with OysterSteel and 18K gold?
Today it retails for $15,600.00.
Is it really a hard Rolex model to find and buy? Or not?
Your help and advice will be very much appreciated.
Can’t speak for the American market but over here probably around 15% over list for an unworn 2023 model.
Such a stunning model, a true classic 👌🏻

Thanks for your help and advice.
Looks like it is quite difficult to buy a nice new Rolex at a good price if a buyer finds one on display at an AD shop.
@@JohnUSA7 Not a problem at all mate! And yes it can be 😅
Excellent watch channel.
Thank you Gareth, appreciate it! 🙏
I am confused, ain't this the guy from the venom's movie?
🤣🤣 thank you, but no! Haha
Thanks for the update Charlie! Am going to sell some of my watches to eventually slim down the collection and get just 2 or 3 more heavy hitters. What do you think about the royal oak range, the 15400OR and newer ones?
Thank you Mark! Appreciate you watching 🙏
Stunning models, but they have softened a little in recent times much like many other ranges 👌🏻
Such a stunning model and you are right a real sleeper, gaining in popularity!
I will try and cover this one in a future video 👌🏻
@@thehonestwatchdealer thanks Charlie. Your channel is the only one I follow in the watch community here on TH-cam in UK simply due to the fact that you seem to be most genuine. All dealers are in it for money alongside their genuine passion for watches and they have a business to run etc, however you seem to have that little extra credibility that not many have or can showcase it as well. Keep it up this way and try not to change as the business and channel grows 😉
daytona 116500 (black) and 116520 price sliding every week...
Hopefully they will bottom out soon 👌
@@thehonestwatchdealer lots still wait & see
What about the new Yatch Master in titanium??
Definitely if you can manage to get one! 👌🏻
