      Go go! As you have seen, this is the first time I have to do something artistically. Sculpting can give you some custom options just with molds and a few tricks and then you can slowly build up doing simple heads. You can also mold a head you like and modify the expression. Thank you mate!

    Bro is the polymer clay air drying that u used in the end for eyes and finishing?

    • @wilcapoeira
      @wilcapoeira  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All polymer clays I use cure in the oven. I usually put the white clay when heads come out of the oven and are still warm cause the curing process on the white starts right away and it is easier to get a smooth result. I may not bake them immediately since nothing will scratch or mess with the eyes due to them being so small and recessed. I usually continue with teeth or any other fix and then bake them all together.
      Re. air dry clay, I think it could work at a bigger scale but not for 1/12.

      @@wilcapoeira Thanks man, so the faux leather wont just melt away when baked?!

    • @wilcapoeira
      @wilcapoeira  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drvivekmallan1686 I had issues with it but definitely not melting. Boots and gloves went into the oven aswell 😅.
      Heat affects materials in a different way. They usually expand but at different rates so having the leather under some thin clay layers caused some cracking. I did just build up on the clay to fix it.

      Nonetheless, I suggest you try everything out before using new fabrics on pieces you have invested time already. I cut a small fabric piece and toss it into the oven together with a curing piece to make the most out of oven time.
