I made a new song called SYNTHESIS: th-cam.com/video/IA2ezGGx5J0/w-d-xo.html
One song, all 12 Worlds titles by Porter Robinson. So if you loved Fellow Phobia, chances are you might also love SYNTHESIS! I dreamed of composing a song like this and today it became reality. Enjoy!😻

I see several comments complaining about the part at 2:50. But honestly? Its my favorite part in the entire song. Its loud. Its messy. Its overpowering. Its overwhelming. But thats exactly what Trauma feels like. And the way it transitions so beautifully into that last part? Has me actually crying nearly every time.

I mean, I understand why you like that part, and I can see the reason, but even as a break core fan this part isn’t right for me.
The eerieness of the phobia song mixed with the beautiful piano and violin just does not fit, because acrophobia is supposed to be scary, it has these sounds which are supposed to unsettle the player, but on the other side you have duet and some other song with beautiful piano and violin that’s supposed to make the player cry in happiness.
THESE DO NOT MIX! Atleast for me.
See where I’m going here? It’s like trying to make a gold color with red and green, so you mix those together but instead you end up with a dark grainy color, and same thing goes for this.
      Hope you understand.

@@sonicfrisk4357 Personally from another break core fan, I actually quite like this part for the same reason as the commenter
It gives the feeling of both pressure and emotion at the same time, completely not mixing at all which gives you the feeling of where it doesn't feel right
It doesn't fit because its what the commenter meant, overwhelming and trauma, giving off a perfect example of how that feels

0:15 The rising in tone of the phobia theme actually genuinely scares me, gives me the feeling of riding up an elevator, and then you feel the force from the acceleration pushing your body down more and more as the song speeds up more and more, and at this point you're leaning on the walls as you physically can't stand up once more, the roof of the elevator opens up and you see you're rushing through space, nothing can stop this elevator, it keeps ris-- you get my point ajsdka
1:04 Damn, the violin piano combo with the phobia theme kinda hurts ;_; The feeling I get is like seeking solace in terror
2:40 is still pretty pleasant, the beat goes along with final duet pretty decently
2:57 has melodies from all songs clashing against one another, so personally I find myself a lil disorientated at this part ajhsadhg
3:09 is pretty good though, I like the cuts in part of the energetic EDM to the soft and subdued piano and violin
3:23 Oh gosh the final duet remixed here is really good, and did I even tell you how good the visuals and the editing in this video was?! Everything is sleek, and visuals absolutely fit the parts of the songs!
Anyways, these are all just my opinions, still a great freaking job dude! :D

this piece's emotional complexity is on a scale all on its own and i cant stop looping it. acrophobia is a petrifying bop of a track on its own but, when mixed with fellow feeling's violin/piano, it invokes a feeling as though sunny is torn between two states of mind: one of trauma soaked, comfortable normality and one of agonizing growth.
these two emotional states only pushed and pulled sunny more violently as each tried to gain ground, the conflict only digging deeper into him. the phobias dragged sunny back into his protective abyss while fellow feeling made every attempt to reach him, enlisting duet to help it do so and, almost as though in retaliation, the phobias joined with alter to maintain sunny's status quo. they pulled every trick they could, raising their volume, playing itself over the opposing songs, even attacking the very video this piece of work is attached to.
its a baletic screaming match between trauma and growth that i cant be more obsessed with.
    i love this

Thanks ! I always wanted to do something with Fellow Feeling and OMORI. Already had the visual, especially with the drop at 1:53 but I didn't know how to present it in connection with OMORI. Until I found the OMORI phobia theme at 400%-500%-700% in my recommendations. It was the perfect skeleton for the mashup. Sound quality in this video is 320 kbps. Maybe I can post in on SoundCloud but I haven't used it for 9 months. Also listening on TH-cam is the best way to support me in order to generate views and maybe get recommended 👀 I know this is not the most convenient way to listen but it is highly useful for me !

Sadly TH-cam compresses audio to 128kbps AAC. SoundCloud streams 128kbps .mp3s, but the author can enable a download button to let others listen to the original audio. If you choose to upload it there, let me know! For now, if it supports you then I'll listen on TH-cam! (also def sharing this with some friends who like omori)

God, I don't wanna be the one person with a criticism here because this is genuinely really good, but maybe my feedback will be worth something.
I've listened to this a good 6 times now and my brain keeps getting hung up on 02:57 to 03:08 because it's just... *super busy* , and Final Duet really starts to pull back and fall behind the rest of the music in a way that's too dissonant to ignore.
Like it's hard for me to understand what's going on because there's so much noise. I guess that's symbolic of Sunny's condition in a way, but everyone's been saying the whole thing's a banger, and I'm just over here feeling horrible because there's this one part of the remix I genuinely cannot enjoy :(
But after it transitions out of the busyness, it gets really smooth again and spectacular sounding, so it saves itself.
But idk man I'm so hung up on 02:57 - 03:08 and it makes me feel horrible.
You still got my like and watch time though, I'm very sorry 🙏
Spectacular job on the visuals and remix.

I also wanted to say that 01:55 to 02:21 is my favorite part, especially the way you show Sunny's and Basil's mental breakdown in time with the music 👉👈

    • @Airneko
      @Airneko  3 ปีที่แล้ว +261

No worries ! It's always good to have constructive criticism. Especially the part at 02:57 that's probably the MOST controversial part (many mentioned it). I know the overall sound mastering is far from perfect. I still have a lot to learn. The main purpose was to keep the voice of Fellow Feeling, the music of DUET and the predrop of Arachnophobia. The 2 issues encountered were the harmonic dissonance between Fellow Feeling/DUET and the stacking of Arachnophobia/Fellow Feeling Drums. The solution was to extract the voice of Fellow Feeling and keeping Arachnophobia/DUET as instru. Unfortunately I didn't find a high quality acapella version to use it.
I also like the "symbolic of Sunny's mental condition" you said in this song. Because by creating Fellow Feeling, Porter Robinson's main purpose was to make a contrast between the beautiful orchestral violins and the ugliest drop ever made. These contrasts add sensitivity to the song. At some parts, you feel confy. Other parts, you feel horrible. At some parts, you vibe. Other parts, you cope. If everything was beautiful, this music wouldn't have so much power. You need some darkness to better appreciate the light.
And as I said in a previous comment :
I personally like the contrast created between the messy and clean predrop.

Lovely. I think the part with all three going on at once was a bit messy, the phobia part was really overpowering everything else during that segment but this mix nails the landing.

    • @Airneko
      @Airneko  3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

Hey ! Thanks for commenting again. Yeah someone else noticed this too and honestly at 2:54 with only Fellow Feeling and DUET it was already starting to be messy because melody and harmony were no longer syncronized so it was intentional to add Arachnophobia to overpower the song as a predrop to prepare the best part. I personally like the contrast created between the messy and clean predrop.

  • @kitsune5508
    @kitsune5508 ปีที่แล้ว +6

To kind of elaborate on my last comment because I just went over analysis mode:
Agoraphobia section: being stuck in a dark place with fear controlling you
Thalassophobia w violin: almost giving up and trying to escape
Thalassophobia w piano: someone saving you and convincing you to hold on
Arachnophobia w violin: remembering that fear and almost letting it control you again
Pete Robinson part: overwhelming fear, panic attack?
Fellow feeling w duet: conflicting feelings of wanting to let go and wanting to escape the world
Release of emotions mixed with a sense of calm and acceptance
Final part: memories of people that impacted your life and the lives that were impacted by you
Acceptance of help and eventual moving on.
The way this tells a metophorical story to me is absolutely astonishing to me. Truly well done

God, just the amount of time this must have taken is terrifying, both visually and the audio as well.
The song was like a bike ride down a bumpy hill; a few hicks here and there, some rocky, uncomfortable parts that you need to smoothly maneuver around, and finally, the beautiful moment when everything comes together as you gain acceleration, all those rough bumps and patches adding to your speed. The entire song embodies Omori itself, it starts off tense and eerie as Sunny's phobias showcase themselves as the darkest part of him. As you progress deeper in the game, you try to find some semblance of comfort as you explore these wonderful, colorful bright worlds, but said comfort doesn't last long, (and this is expressed by another one of the phobias theme blaring right after a calming, albeit unsettling and unstable violin solo). You try to find more stability as Sunny desperately tries to forget the awful things he has done by distracting himself, (the song has short bursts of calm again before descending into straight up incoherent madness with only a few moments of what used to be a rhythmic beat), but to no avail. You're in blackspace now with the ugliest parts showing. There's no comfort in the song to be found, now it's only pointless noise with nothing particularly distinguishable. You are truly all alone, Sunny is all alone, and he only has these dark, intrusive thoughts as company, threatening to consume him. He is at his lowest point in his life and no one can help him now. But then...Mari's voice cuts through all the ugliness as the violin swells subtly in the background. There are a few hints of the darkness still, but just as Mari says "It will all die out". And it does. The Final Duet plays not too beautifully over both this Fellow Feeling, and another phobia theme faintly, as if one is trying to drown out the other and none are successful (this part being the most controversial makes sense, it...did not sound the best on my first listen, but I truly grew to appreciate it and all it represents; the messiness of this part make sense because recovering from being in a dark place is a messy process. The transition from being hurt and isolated to a better mindness is anything but smooth, and this part reflects this. The main thing is that you're healing now and can see the light at the end of the tunnel). As the song continues, the Final Duet reigns top for a few seconds before all the elements of the song blend together into something that is both sad, happy, upbeat and inspiring all at the same time. Sad because of all the ugliness that you had to fight through. Happy because of all the moments you were able to experience and appreciate. Upbeat because of everything that has led you to this point and continuing to support, inspiring because you were able to persist despite all of the discomfort and heartaches. The visuals helps as well, pictures of Sunny's friends and Mari quickly flashing across the screen, reminding Sunny of what's truly important, that he is loved and he loves everyone despite his actions. The entire song swells into something truly beautiful, and it ends on a high note of clarity, as if to signal that this is what the song, the entire journey, despite all the ugliness and hicks, has been building up to this whole time.

It made me feel on suspense, a chill comin up my back, the weird and seemingly grossly offensive bits that are purposefully supposed to be that way, the reminiscence, the seeming "mental breakdown" portion, finally ending with a montage of joyous and treasured memories.

When I said to myself “now I wanna mash these up together!” I didn’t realize that nobody could put these songs together as well and beautifully as you did. This has made me so happy and confident just with the Duet part.
It was as if I could do anything if I just tried.
Thank you Airneko, for making this ^^

*Some spoilers are in this comment. Go check out the game if you haven't!*
    Alright,
This song shows that SUNNY keeps losing his mind ever since the death
BUT it shows all the great memories he had with his friends before MARI
    died.
About the phobia parts of the song,
that's basically him hallucinating his phobias as
    SOMETHING.
(which I'll get on to SOMETHING later.)
    PHOBIA OST lore:
    - Acrophobia: referring to SUNNY pushing MARI down the stairs or
when he fell off the statue
    ( 3:14 and 3:18 )
    |
    |
    v
    - Thalassophobia: referring to when SUNNY almost drowned
under-water or when a spider touched SUNNY's shoulder
    then fell.
    - Arachnophobia : SUNNY feels a spider on his shoulder
the same day he started to develop Thalassophobia
    then falls into the water.
Near the end it shows some HS (Head Space) pictures.
Those pictures are actually some photos took
by BASIL from the RW. (Real World)
Meaning that SUNNY is imagining his old memories in his dreams
    Before the DUET recital,
    OMORI forced SUNNY to succumb
so SUNNY can end his suffering about the guilt.
OMORI is created when SUNNY falls asleep
But there are two endings to when OMORI does this,
GOOD ENDING: If SUNNY chooses to continue, he performs the DUET recital with MARI, remembering the good times he's spent with MARI and his friends during his youth. OMORI accepts defeat and embraces SUNNY with a hug, vanishing from WHITE SPACE. This allows SUNNY to finally overcome his guilt over his past actions and confess the truth behind MARI's death to his friends.
BAD ENDING: If SUNNY chooses not to continue, he will instead disappear as OMORI presumably takes control of him completely. From there, OMORI wakes up in WHITE SPACE once again. When he enters NEIGHBOR'S ROOM, all of his friends appear strangely silent. They head out for more adventuring but the scene cuts over to SUNNY standing on the hospital's balcony alone. Unable to accept the truth, SUNNY jumps off the building and plummets to his presumed death.
Also if you wanna know what SOMETHING is:
It was created out of guilt after MARI died.
You can see in one of the photos SUNNY starts
to hallucinate SOMETHING when the photo shows
    MARI staring at SUNNY.
    SOMETHING is not MARI.
    Neither is HELLMARI.
HELLMARI was also created out of guilt and
appears when SUNNY looks at MARI's
    coffin.
    MARI looks over SUNNY even
    through SUNNY and BASIL framed
    her death.
    SOMETHING can take many forms:
    - DOROTHI
    - BASIL'S SOMETHING
    - SOMETHING IN THE DARK
    - SOMETHING IN THE WALLS
    - SOMETHING IN THE WATER
    - CINDI
    - LILI
    - MERCI
    - NANCI
    - SALLI
    and
    - LITTLE ONE
    BASIL'S SOMETHING was when SOMETHING
    had trapped BASIL.
    Lore:
After SUNNY reunites with his friends in the morning, the group decides to check on BASIL to see if he's doing alright. Unfortunately, POLLY informs them that BASIL is at the hospital due to his grandmother being rushed there for intensive care the day before. Despite this, HERO suggests checking on BASIL later and asks SUNNY if they can see the old treehouse in his house again.
Upon visiting the treehouse and reconciling for real, the group returns to BASIL'S HOUSE and finds out that BASIL has locked himself away in his room, unresponsive. Despite the many attempts they make, none of them can make BASIL come outside. Regardless, the group decides to stay over for the night to celebrate SUNNY's last day at FARAWAY TOWN, as well as being there for the distraught BASIL.
    ( 1:58 - 2:01 )
After being forced to confront the truth behind MARI's death, SUNNY runs into BASIL's room to try and talk about their traumatic past. However, BASIL is armed with garden shears, and his isolation from SUNNY after the incident has driven him insane. BASIL begs SUNNY to not leave him like he did four years ago, and their SOMETHINGS manifest and coax the two into a fight.
    ( 1:54 - 2:00 )
The sheer pressure of this situation prevents SUNNY from using any of his skills, leaving him with no choice but to fight. The tension mounts as SUNNY reaches his breaking point, giving way to a unique emotion called STRESSED OUT that hasn't appeared anywhere else in the game. Eventually, both boys are so severely injured that they cannot continue fighting, with BASIL having stabbed SUNNY'S right eye with his shears. SUNNY blacks out and both boys are rushed to the hospital.
Hence the reason why SUNNY and BASIL end up in the Hospital after
    the DUET recital.
While SUNNY was in the hospital,
    OMORI CONFRONTED him in SUNNY's
    dream.
After if SUNNY gives up or continues,
the DUET recital plays or SUNNY jumps
    off the hospital's balcony.
Well, thank you for reading this comment.
This is probably the longest comment I've made
    on a video.
    btw nice song
    (fav part: 1:53 - 2:07 )
(EDIT: Thanks for letting me know about the SOMETHING IN THE WALLS or the ARACHNOPHOBIA SOMETHING!)

Wow! that's a long comment. Thanks!
      A little correction concerning Arachnophobia:
SUNNY must have developed his 3 phobias on the same day.
We can know exactly what happened that day thanks to the Lost Library Excerpts
      (☐ refers to SUNNY)
"☐ shuffles up the statue, and looks down at the moving water. He can hear his heartbeat. His ears begin to ring."
SUNNY climbed the statue to take a dive in the hidden lake.
"He feels something crawling on his shoulder and his eyes fly open to meet with those of a black spider."
This is when he developed Arachnophobia, causing him to lose his balance and fall into the lake.
"In an instant, ☐ loses all sense and hurls himself into the lake. Water fills his nose. He exerts his limbs, but the water is stronger."
The fall caused him to develop Acrophobia and the drowning Thalassophobia
(Sure Acrophobia is more related to stairs).
      "☐ shuts his eyes...
and waits for the brothers to save him."
In the end it is MARI who comes to save him, creating a connection between MARI and phobias. That's why when Mari died, his phobias turned into... SOMETHING.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

whenever I listened to the original Fellow Feeling, I always had this weird image of someone phasing in and out of realities, between ours and one of confusing floating shapes - represented by the violin and dubstep respectively - and eventually learning to master both of them. How fitting, then, that I finally find this after playing a game about someone lost within his own thoughts, eventually standing up to his consciousness to live a better life. Absolutely BANGING music video too, by the way.

Man! This is so deep. So perfect. So bealtiful. It shows a reality that all Omori fans can notice, not only Omori fans tho. Its like someone is trying to remember the good times, trying to comfort themself, but reality always comes back and pushes them away from their confort. Its so good i was tearing apart with the last part, i was feeling "ECSTATIC" and "MISERABLE" at the same time. How wonderful.

what i really love about this video is that you didn't just put the song in and show it off. like, you added the dates of when the original sped up anthems were uploaded, you show the FL tracks of the WAVs and show us the actual mixdown, and you have a long and intricate description that goes through the entire process while adding animations and eye candy that keep people engaged. this isn't just a banger song - this whole video is fantastic!
