Some of the best versions of memes are not made overnight. Some of the best versions of memes and sh*tposts actually have lots of insane editing, great crossover with other memes, and/or really smart humour and commentary mixed within. 5. Last point is my opinion, but honestly people complaining about memes always dying early makes things less fun for me, and is always more annoying than a meme being overused. Also, if one complains about how memes are no longer dank after an arbitrary set of time, You're bound to miss out on great takes of the meme that get released later. Finally, memes are a form of art. And art forms like ideas, while they get transformed, they never seem to truly die. Lots of the architecture in Washington DC was inspired by Greco-Roman architecture. And if you watch lets say Arabfunnies, whether you like them or not, they have a lot of similarities to MLG. TL;DR I think people here are clouded by nostalgia blindness. There's lots of bad memes around sure, but I think you'd enjoy yourselves better if instead of complaining about that, that'd you take of the blinders, and try to dig in deep for the good stuff and gold that's available.
