    What a day ! Foot and a half of snow turn to a river for the path and then on top a narrow ledge where you can see for miles. Somehow, the desert looks prettier in the snow . I feel sorry for your feet and the fact you had to sleep in a puddle, thought I saw a dryer spot when you spun the camera a round but there might have been other problems I couldn't see from here .

    Julianne, great video with absolutely awesome views. I'll watch your videos whatever the length. This will be my first video of the PCT from Day 1 to the terminus so I'm excited to see all the sights. Ya'll are doing great, picking up some major miles. It is very difficult to walk in snow, uses different muscles. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

    This is a little off topic but I was an exchange student to northern Germany 31 years ago. My German best friend is Juli Anna. I pronounce it You-ly. We are so close that I named my daughter Marlie Anna after her. I also meet my hubby while there. He is American and we have been married close to 30 years. After 30 years Juli is coming to visit in a few months with one of her kiddos and I am oh so excited!!! I have a tenderness for the Germany culture and although my language skills have greatly declined, I do understand some. My husband is fluent.

    What a great video! In the opening, that crunch as y’all walked in the snow brought back memories. I left that all behind and moved to a place where it doesn’t snow. I get to go visit the snow nowadays.

    I like footage. :) can’t say though that I’ll start a video that shows it’s over an hour. Really loving your sharing, especially from an AT person point of view. I live in the Sierra and the AT, hiked it a teeny bit, is somewhat foreign to me. Thank you!

    You said you would rather have snow than wind. Well prepare for more wind as our California high desert is notorious for wind.

    Beautiful views, cold wet feet those trail runners are not protecting from the snow. Hope they dry out.

    • @larkangel6593
      @larkangel6593 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They're already getting used to wet feet early in their hike
      There's no protection against it, so it's best to wear something you can walk in wet, and may slightly dry overnight
      Boots get wet and stay wet - thousands of people have hiked the PCT in trail runners for a reason

    Absolutely amazing stunning shot. Just look like a waoo. I recommend you visit k2 and Nangaparbat view point. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower

    Hi ...cactus in the snow.....smh......this is a new view of this section of the PCT....!!! "A" for originality...!!! I see youre using the unbound...I really wanted to purchase that but was worried about that single stay support instead of 2 like my Southwest.....any comments would be greatly appreciated.....thanks a million

    I recall you compiled your AT vids in one or made a movie out of it. Are you editing your PCT vids to do the same?
    Heard good things about Julian's apple pie. Still haven't been.

    5:26 Please don't worry about the length of the video. One TH-cam hiker I subscribe to uploads daily 30 - 80 minute long videos. The average being just under 1 hour, and people watch his videos to the end. Some people will alway complain no matter what you do.

    Honestly and with all sincerity- how do you hike in the snow with wet sneakers? Frostbite 😮. I’m concerned for you. I have hiked and climbed for 60 years. Wet feet and snow IMHO is a recipe for disaster.

    Twenty minute videos give enough views and content to capture the experience. Too me, shorter videos often are boring because there is an insufficient amount of time to draw you in.
